Build a custom vocational and technical training platform
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your vocational training program, and it builds the system for theory, required hours, equipment, instructors, certificates, and billing.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a training-platform product you sign up for and configure. It’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, the logic, the screens, and the workflows. What you get is a real, working app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking for changes, and run it on your own domain and, for tuition, your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a vocational training platform for a hands-on school. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one of them, and that’s what the rest of this page covers.
Why build your own vocational training platform?
Hands-on schools often need records that general course tools do not have. A CDL school needs range hours, road hours, legal minimums, instructors, trucks, medical certificates, inspections, and tuition status. A welding or HVAC program has different columns, but the same need for clear records.
Kliv builds the school around those records. Theory, hour logs, equipment, scheduling, certification tracking, and billing sit in one app you can change as the program changes.
The records behind the training
Hands-on training needs records for learning, law, equipment, and payment.
Student files
Theory progress, range hours, and road hours are logged separately and totaled against the required minimums.
Equipment and fleet
Each truck or tool can carry inspection dates, service status, and whether it is legal for a test.
Permits and medical certificates
Expiry dates can block booking when required and send reminders before a student loses eligibility.
Yard calendar
A slot ties together student, instructor, and equipment. After the session, the instructor signs the hour record.
Tuition
A $6,400 program can be paid up front or monthly while enrolled. Booking rights can follow the tuition record.
An example: Dolores’s CDL school
Here’s how one school might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own trade, hours, equipment, instructors, certificates, and tuition rules.
Enrollment respects intake limits
Denny takes the last seat in March’s 12-student intake. The database keeps the count, so April is the next intake the form offers.
Theory opens before yard time
Denny starts air-brakes theory at home. His quiz scores become rows in his student file before class meets.
Hours are signed where they happen
Each range or road session ends with the instructor signing the hour row. Denny and the office can both see his totals against the minimums.
Tuition status controls new bookings
Denny falls one payment behind. The calendar stops offering new slots while keeping the Thursday hour he already booked. When he catches up, booking reopens.
The test-day file has the proof
The file shows minimums met, a road-test-legal tractor assigned, and the right medical certificate status.
Completion comes from the records
When Denny passes, the completion certificate and licensing-registry export are generated from the hours and signatures already stored.
Describe the training platform you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include your program, hour categories, equipment, instructors, certificates, intakes, and tuition terms. Here are three to build on:
Truck driving school
Hour minimums, fleet scheduling, and certificate expiry.
“Build a CDL school platform. Include theory modules, range and road hours logged against federal minimums, truck and instructor scheduling, medical certificate reminders six weeks before expiry, and a $6,400 tuition plan paid up front or monthly.”
Welding certificate program
Booth time, plate tests, and certification tracking.
“Build a welding school app where students book booth time, instructors record plate test results by position and process, and each certification has an expiry date and renewal reminder.”
HVAC evening program
Cohorts, lab sign-offs, exam prep, and monthly tuition.
“Build a training platform for our HVAC evening program. Include cohort scheduling, lab skill sign-offs by instructors, practice exams, and tuition paid monthly while enrolled.”
Controls the school can rely on
Refunds can require a named approval before money leaves the school. The record can show who approved the refund and when.
Logins can match the job. Instructors sign hours and see the day’s yard list, but do not need to see balances. Students read their own files and nobody else’s.
Because hours, signatures, and dates are rows, a licensing export is a query instead of a manual audit. Strip away the diesel and what remains is a teaching operation with enrollment and completion records. Courses on Kliv covers that side in more depth.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. You tell it what you need, it builds the app, and you own the result. For this page, that means a vocational training platform with theory, hour logs, equipment scheduling, certificate reminders, tuition, and exports.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the database, the logic, and the screens for your specific case. It is not a pre-made theme you fill in.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You ask for changes in plain words and Kliv updates the app, without starting over.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain and go live as soon as you build it.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
Does Kliv take a cut of payments?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Stripe’s card-processing fees are between you and Stripe.
Do my customers need their own Stripe accounts?
No. Your customers pay by card. Stripe is how money reaches your account; they do not need to manage Stripe.
Does Kliv charge per student?
No. Enrollment size does not set your Kliv bill. Students pay the school through the school’s own Stripe account.
Can it count hours the way regulations require?
Yes. You can separate theory, range, road, lab, or other categories and total them against your configured minimums.
What happens when equipment goes out of service?
Mark it unavailable and future bookings surface for reassignment. Test-legal status can also be part of the scheduling rule.
Can certificate expiry block booking?
Yes. An expired medical certificate or permit can block the relevant booking type and send reminders before expiry.
Can instructors sign hours from the yard?
Yes. They can sign the session from a phone, and the log fills from the booking.
Can tuition status control scheduling?
Yes. You can stop offering new slots when a student falls behind while preserving bookings already made, if that is your policy.
Can we import paper or spreadsheet records?
Yes. A spreadsheet can become hour rows with dates, categories, and instructor names preserved.
