Build a solar project management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your solar install workflow, and it builds roof records, survey uploads, kit checklists, crew schedules, punch lists, and homeowner pages.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a generic task board — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: records, rules, screens, schedules, file storage, and customer updates. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can run it on your own domain, connect it to your own accounts, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a template checklist.
On this page, that app is a solar project management system. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; installer operations tools are one example.
Why build your own solar project system?
A residential solar install is not just a task list. The survey must match the design, the design must match the kit, the kit must match the crew day, and the crew day must survive the weather. A miss can mean another drive across town.
Kliv builds the tool around one record per roof. Survey photos, design notes, bill of materials, crew scheduling, punch lists, and homeowner updates all read from that job record.
Written before anyone climbs
A roof earns its place on the calendar by getting these records right.
The roof record
Pitch, orientation, shading notes, structural findings, and survey photos stay on the job. Designers and crews work from the same record.
The design and its kit
The final layout becomes a bill of materials. The warehouse pulls against it, and missing parts are caught before install morning.
The crew day
Each crew can carry certifications, capacity, and territory. A job lands only on a day whose crew matches the roof and work required.
The punch list
A cracked tile, missing label, or inspector note becomes an item with a photo. The job can enter complete only when nothing is open.
The homeowner’s window
The customer page reads the same job record: scheduled, installed, inspected, producing.
An example: Salomé’s solar install team
Here’s how one installer might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own survey, kit, crew, and handover rules.
The survey lands on the job record
Measurements, shading notes, and photos are uploaded from the driveway. The designer starts from that record without another site visit.
The pallet is staged before install day
The warehouse pulls from the design’s bill of materials. One rail length is short, so it is ordered three days early.
Weather moves the schedule cleanly
Rain hits Thursday. Salomé moves two jobs, and the calendar still checks crew certifications and roof type before accepting the change.
The crew records the punch list on site
A cracked tile becomes a punch-list item with a photo while the crew is still on the roof.
Handover waits for the last item
Inspection passes, the last punch-list item closes, and the handover email pulls serial numbers and finished photos from the record.
Describe the solar workflow you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include survey, kit, crew, scheduling, punch lists, customers, and subcontractors. Here are three to build on:
Residential install tracker
Survey photos, kit lists, crew rules, and customer emails.
“Build a job tracker for our residential solar company with survey photo uploads, roof pitch and shading notes, kit checklists built from each design, crew scheduling with certification and territory rules, and automatic customer status emails for scheduled, installed, inspected, and producing.”
Commercial rooftop projects
Phases, subcontractors, documents, and client progress.
“Build a project system for commercial rooftop solar with phased milestones, subcontractor task assignments, document uploads per phase, client-facing progress pages, and a punch list that blocks handover until all items are closed.”
Battery retrofit crews
Equipment history and commissioning checklists.
“Build a scheduling system for battery retrofit installs that keeps every previous install’s equipment record, books retrofit crew days against that site, tracks parts required, and stores commissioning checklists per job.”
Everything reads from the job
Photos stay with the job. Survey shots, mid-install documentation, and finished-array photos live in the file store. Access can differ by audience.
Morning sheets can be automatic. A scheduled job can assemble each crew lead’s day from the live calendar: addresses, kit notes, gate codes, and punch-list context.
Subcontractors can stay inside their assigned work. A subcontracted electrician signs in and sees only the jobs assigned to them.
Many companies run on handoffs like this, which is why tools shaped like the handoff are what Kliv builds all day.
When the process grows a step, such as a shading study or a second inspection, you describe the change and Kliv updates the app.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the solar project system you need, it builds the working app, and you own the result.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds records, rules, screens, workflows, and permissions for your specific case.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Ask for changes in plain words. Kliv updates the app without making you start over.
What happens when weather moves an install?
Move the job to a new day, and the calendar can check that the crew still matches the roof and required work. Customer notifications can go out from the same change.
Can subcontracted electricians use it?
Yes. Subcontractors can have their own sign-ins scoped to the jobs assigned to them.
Where do all the photos live?
In the app’s file store, attached to the job they document. You decide what crews, customers, and office users can see.
Can the punch list block handover?
Yes. The job can be prevented from entering complete until every punch-list item is closed.
Can homeowners get status updates?
Yes. A homeowner page or emails can show scheduled, installed, inspected, and producing status from the job record.
Can our process change next year?
Yes. Tell Kliv the new step or rule, and it updates the app while preserving job history.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The internal app and customer pages can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
