Lovable alternatives: five options for different reasons to switch

There is no best Lovable alternative, only the best one for whatever is actually in your way, and a credit budget, a native mobile requirement and a developer who wants a proper repository are not the same problem. This page puts Base44, Replit, Bolt, v0 and Kliv against those problems, from each vendor's published plans, and ends with how to decide if switching is worth the bother.

By the Kliv team. We make Kliv, so read our view of it with that in mind · Facts checked

You're reading this on kliv.dev, so yes, we have a horse in this race: Kliv competes with these builders, and we'd like you to try it. Prices and limits come from each vendor's own pages, fetched on November 3, 2026 and linked under Sources.

    Before you switch anything

Lovable already gives you Git sync on Free, a built-in backend, and custom domains and code editing on the paid plans. If that list covers you, a second subscription will not fix much. More often the problem is that its general credits also pay for Cloud and in-app AI once the grants are spent, so a successful app eats the budget you meant for building it.

Name the problem first. Native mobile points at Replit or Bolt. A developer who wants a cloud environment points at Replit; one who wants GitHub and Vercel points at v0. Running costs sharing the build balance is a different complaint again, about the allowance model rather than any feature.

    Lovable alternatives at a glance

USD reference plans fetched November 3, 2026; prices below use monthly billing
Product Paid plan used for comparison Metering Reason to test
Lovable, reference Pro 100: $25/month General credits after grants Stay if the web workflow fits
Base44 Starter: $20; Builder: $50 Message and integration credits Integrated app services with separate allowances
Replit Core: $20/month Free Mode allowance and paid usage Native mobile and cloud development
Bolt Pro: $25/month 10M included tokens/month JavaScript web apps or Expo mobile
v0 Plus: $30/user/month Model token costs through credits Vercel deployment and GitHub workflow
Kliv Pro: $19/month Builder usage allowance Business web apps with included services

Begin with the features your next app needs, then the billing unit, which varies more than the prices do. v0 Plus charges per user; Lovable lets unlimited workspace members share one pile of credits. Bolt counts tokens and Replit counts paid-service credits, and neither measures the same work as a Lovable credit.

    1. Base44, if two allowances suit you better than one

Base44 bundles app building with a database, authentication, storage and hosting. Free lists 25 message credits a month, capped at five a day, plus 100 integration credits and up to five apps. Starter is $20 a month for 100 message and 2,000 integration credits, and Builder is $50 for 250 message and 10,000 integration credits, which is also where backend functions and GitHub integration appear.

The structural difference is that Base44 splits what Lovable merges. Message credits pay for planning and changes, integration credits pay for built-in email and in-app AI, and both normally expire at reset. If your portal has steady customer activity but only occasional development, that split can be a relief, since customer traffic no longer competes with your build budget.

The catch is code handoff. Base44 needs Builder for two-way GitHub sync, where Lovable gives Git sync away on Free, and Builder is also the tier for backend functions. If you use either today, you are comparing against the $50 plan. The Base44 comparison covers its backend and export docs in more detail.

    2. Replit, for native mobile or a real coding environment

Replit answers the clearest reason people leave Lovable, wanting a native iOS or Android app. Lovable's FAQ rules out React Native output; Replit documents the mobile path, with Expo Go for trying the app on a phone. Its Agent and cloud development environment also give a maintainer a second way to work on the product.

Core is $20 a month, or $18 a month equivalent on annual billing, with a Free Mode allowance and $20 toward more powerful models. Paid Agent work is priced by effort, and cloud services draw on the same credits. Starter keeps one free published link online for 30 days and leaves out Full build, Plan Mode and third-party connectors, so for anything that has to stay up, Core is the tier to compare.

    3. Bolt, if you can live with tokens

Bolt's Pro is the same $25 a month as Lovable's, but the allowance is 10 million tokens, and the reasons a Lovable user would look at it are its JavaScript framework support and the Expo mobile path. Pro includes a custom domain and branding removal; Free gives you one million tokens a month, capped at 300,000 a day.

Tokens change what you watch. Bolt says much of its token consumption comes from syncing project files to the AI, so as the project grows a short maintenance request gets dearer because of everything it carries along. Unused paid allocations roll over while you stay subscribed and expire two months after issue.

Bolt also publishes a hosting allowance, 333,000 web requests a month on Free and one million on Pro. Free has hard limits; Pro lets you pay as you go above the line. If you are leaving Lovable because app traffic keeps spending your general credits, that is a different operating model, with request volume as its own row.

    4. v0, for a GitHub and Vercel workflow

You already have Git sync on Lovable Free, so v0's GitHub connection on its own is no reason to move. Its Vercel deployment path and visual Design Mode are what a web team would actually be comparing. Free includes both, plus GitHub sync and seven messages a day. New users get $5 in one-time credits. The docs say some existing Free users have a monthly allowance instead.

v0 currently lists Plus at $30 per user per month, with $30 of monthly credits and $2 of daily credits on login, per user. The card shows that $30 beside a struck-through $90. The per-user part is what to notice coming from Lovable's workspace pricing, since the Plus base charge grows with every paid member. Usage is model input and output tokens, so count the people who need Plus.

    5. Our entry: Kliv, the site you're on

We're a smaller, younger builder than Lovable, and we are of course going to suggest you try us. Kliv is built around apps that need sign-in, a database, commerce and email together, with Pro at $19/month. For a Lovable user the argument is that service package, included rather than metered against the builder allowance.

Database, authentication, commerce, email, agents, integrations, edge functions and hosting are included on Free as well as on paid plans. Free covers up to 25 apps and Pro up to 1,000; paid plans add custom domains, removal of our branding, and capacity, with the Max tiers at five or 20 times the Pro builder usage. If you are moving a big team mainly for SSO governance, do not pick Kliv on the Pro price; look at the controls you need first, and if we come up short, better you find out on this page. We did say we were younger.

    The move itself costs something

Before you leave Lovable, list the backend, the records, the files, the sign-in setup and every connected service the app uses. Lovable's FAQ allows external hosting, and the app may be on its built-in backend or your own Supabase project, which changes the work considerably. Hand the future maintainer the repository and that inventory together.

Keep the old app running while you check the new one's critical paths. Recreate a real permission boundary, a failed transaction and a maintenance change, and write every bit of manual rebuilding down next to the new subscription price. Then compare that total with an occasional top-up on the plan you already have. Sometimes the top-up wins.

    Deciding

Take the one requirement Lovable does not meet and make it the first thing you build in the replacement. Then run the four-step comparison checklist for permissions, later changes, code access and usage, and keep the migration work on the cost sheet the whole time.

Start with a design studio client portal

“Build a client portal for my design studio. Clients sign in, see their own projects, upload a brief, and approve a milestone. I manage projects in an admin view and receive an email when a client submits a brief.”

    Questions people ask

What is the best Lovable alternative?
Depends on why you are leaving. Replit for native mobile, Bolt for a JavaScript and Expo path, v0 for a GitHub and Vercel workflow, and Base44 or Kliv for a business web app. Pick by the blocker.
Which options cost less than Lovable Pro?
Base44 Starter at $20, Replit Core at $20, and Kliv Pro at $19, against $25 for Lovable Pro. Their limits all differ, so the cheapest entry price says nothing about the cheapest month.
Can I avoid credits by switching?
No. Switching changes the unit you are limited in, and the limit comes with it. Bolt meters tokens, Replit pairs an allowance with paid usage, and Kliv has a builder allowance, each with its own development tools.
    Does Lovable charge per seat?
No. Every plan allows unlimited workspace members sharing the workspace credits; inviting someone does not raise the price, their work draws on the same pool. v0 Plus, priced per user, is the counterexample on this page.
