Build a queuing and workflow management tool
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your intake, stages, benches, promise dates, rush rules, certificates, and recalls, and it builds a queuing and workflow management tool on your own domain.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a fixed ticket system you have to rename until it fits — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the workflow you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, intake forms, queues, stages, rules, schedules, customer views, and screens. You own it, run it on your own domain, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a generic board with different column names.
On this page, that app is a queuing and workflow management tool. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this one is for work that moves through stages and needs honest promise dates.
Why the oldest job is always a surprise
A calibration lab has pressure, torque, mass, and temperature benches, technicians with different certifications, and customer instruments arriving with due dates. A clipboard wall cannot answer the questions the phone asks all day: where is it, and when will it be ready?
Kliv turns the queue into a database. A job knows its instrument, customer, bench, promised date, current stage, and history. The counter answers from a screen, and promise dates can be checked against real load.
What arrives with every instrument
Every intake brings a job, a deadline, and next year’s recall. These records keep all three.
Customers and fleets
Each customer’s instruments have serial numbers, calibration intervals, and history. The lab can query the fleet instead of opening a folder.
The job
Intake condition, discipline, assigned bench, promised date, and arrival photo live on the job row.
The benches
Capacity by discipline and technician certification are visible, so a promise the bench cannot carry is visible before you make it.
The certificate
Finished certificates file against both the job and the instrument, so the paper trail assembles as work completes.
The recall clock
Every completed calibration writes the next due date. Scheduled reminders can turn those dates into future intake.
A queue with reflexes
A queue earns its keep in the work it does without being chased.
Intake in ninety seconds
Customer, instrument, condition photo, and promised date are recorded before the box reaches the shelf, and the confirmation email can leave immediately.
Promises backed by load
A promised date is checked against what the right bench already carries that week. The app can suggest the first honest date.
Rush without chaos
A rush job can jump the queue, and every displaced job shows its new date immediately.
Aging in plain sight
Views sort oldest first, and a job stalled past its threshold flags on the board.
Recalls that fill the benches
Scheduled reminder emails go to customers whose instruments come due next month, creating next quarter’s work from existing records.
An example: Radek’s calibration lab
Here’s how one business might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own intake, benches, promise rules, documents, and reminders.
A job is created at the counter
Radek’s team logs a torque wrench with customer, serial number, condition photo, discipline, and promised date before the box goes onto the shelf.
The promise is checked against load
The torque bench is already full for Wednesday, so the app suggests Friday as the first date that fits the current workload.
A rush job shows what it displaces
A key customer pays for a rush calibration. The job moves up, and the jobs it pushes back show their new dates immediately.
Aging work cannot hide
A pressure gauge stalls past its threshold. It flags on the board and stays visible until someone moves it forward.
The certificate files itself
When calibration finishes, the certificate PDF attaches to both the job and the instrument record, ready for the customer portal.
Recalls create next month’s intake
Thirty days before an instrument is due again, a scheduled email reminds the customer and links to the instrument history.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Name your intake fields, stages, capacity rules, files, customer views, and reminders. Here are three to build on:
Calibration lab queue
Instruments, benches, certificates, and recalls.
“Build a workflow tool for our calibration lab. Track customer instrument fleets with serial numbers and 12-month calibration intervals, create intake jobs with condition photos and promised dates, check promised dates against bench load by discipline, file certificates per job and instrument, and send recall reminders 30 days before the next due date.”
Alterations shop board
Garments through fitting, sewing, pressing, and pickup.
“Build a queue for our alterations shop. Log each garment at drop-off with customer, photos, alteration type, and promised pickup date. Move work through fitting, sewing, pressing, and ready-for-pickup stages, check dates against current workload, and send pickup notifications by email.”
Radiology review queue
Studies routed by subspecialty and turnaround target.
“Build a workflow tool for our imaging group. Queue studies by subspecialty, track who has each study and since when, flag cases past their turnaround target, log every handoff, and send a daily summary of aging studies to the lead radiologist.”
What runs between the benches
Certificates land where they belong. A finished job files its certificate against the customer account, job, and instrument. A customer login can show only that customer’s own instruments and papers.
The recall engine reads the database. Next-due dates are already data. A scheduled task turns them into reminder emails without a separate spreadsheet.
The same shape fits other queues. Swap instruments for permits, garments, studies, or repair tickets and the structure still holds: intake, stages, promises, aging, and reminders.
A calibration lab measures other people’s equipment for a living. Its workflow deserves the same care. Internal tools, built to lab grade makes the wider case.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the queue or workflow tool you need, and it builds the working app with intake, stages, rules, customer views, and schedules.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. The fields, stages, benches, promise rules, certificates, and reminders are built around your workflow.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Ask for changes in plain words, such as adding a stage, changing a threshold, or revising recall timing.
Can customers check status without calling?
Yes. A customer login can show jobs, promised dates, and finished certificates, scoped to that customer’s own equipment.
How are promised dates decided?
The app can count what the relevant bench already owes that week and suggest the first date that fits. You can still override it with full visibility.
What happens when a job fails as found?
The as-found state can be recorded on the job, the customer can be notified with the finding attached, and the job can wait in a decision stage.
Does the recall system need its own database?
No. The completed calibration writes the next due date, and a scheduled task uses that date for reminder emails.
Can rush work show what it displaces?
Yes. A rush job can move forward while affected jobs immediately show their revised dates.
Can certificates attach to both job and instrument?
Yes. Certificate files can attach to the job, instrument, and customer account.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app runs on your own domain.
Do I need a separate customer portal?
No. Customer views can be part of the same app, with row rules limiting each customer to their own records.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
