Build an order management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe an order management system with customer accounts, standing orders, cutoffs, production plans, pack sheets, dispatch statuses, and invoices.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a generic shopping cart or order tool you sign up for and configure — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the workflows. You own the result, run it on your own accounts, and change it later by asking for changes. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is an order management system. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own order management system?
Wholesale order work often repeats every week, with the same accounts, standing orders, cutoffs, production plans, delivery runs, and invoice rules. Generic systems usually assume a one-time cart from a stranger.
Kliv builds the order desk around your week. Accounts, standing orders, cutoffs, stock commitments, pack sheets, dispatch, and invoices become one workflow instead of a whiteboard.
What the order desk keeps
The weekly workflow needs records with rules attached.
Accounts and terms
Each customer account can have contacts, delivery day, price list, payment terms, and its own order form.
Standing orders
Default weekly orders can generate on schedule. Customers edit until cutoff, and silence means the usual order.
Order board
Orders move through placed, roasted, packed, dispatched, invoiced, or the statuses you use.
Stock and commitments
Accepted orders can commit stock, so production planning totals what customers actually ordered.
Invoices on dispatch
Invoices can generate from shipped quantities and the customer’s terms, so short shipments and substitutions are reflected before billing.
An example: Teo’s coffee roastery
Here’s how one wholesale operation might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own accounts, cutoff, statuses, stock rules, and invoices.
Standing orders generate before Monday
On Sunday night, the system creates orders from each café’s default. Sixty orders exist before staff arrive.
The cutoff freezes the week
Cafés adjust orders until Monday noon. After cutoff, the week locks and late changes become recorded exceptions.
The roast plan totals accepted orders
Monday afternoon, the plan shows 84 kilos of Ethiopia and 60 kilos of house blend because it reads the accepted orders.
Pack sheets follow delivery runs
Wednesday pack sheets group orders by route and current status, so the sheet matches what is actually packed.
Dispatch creates invoices
When a run is marked dispatched, invoices generate from shipped quantities and the café’s terms.
Exceptions stay on the order
A short bag is recorded against the order, and a corrected invoice goes out with the paper trail intact.
Describe the order system you want
Kliv builds from your description, so include accounts, cutoffs, statuses, stock rules, production planning, routes, and invoices. Here are three examples:
Roastery wholesale desk
Standing orders, roast plan, and dispatch invoices.
“Build an order management system for a coffee roastery with 60 wholesale café accounts. Each café has its own price list and weekly standing order, customers can edit until Monday noon, accepted orders total a roast plan by bean, delivery runs print pack sheets, and invoices generate from shipped quantities.”
Bakery standing orders
Daily orders, early cutoff, and route sheets.
“Build a wholesale bakery order system where restaurants adjust tomorrow’s standing order until 8 p.m., production lists total by product and bake time, delivery routes get packing sheets, and invoices are sent after dispatch.”
Nursery dispatch board
Availability, committed stock, and route lists.
“Build an order system for a wholesale plant nursery where garden centers order from live availability, accepted orders commit stock, substitutions are recorded before dispatch, and delivery runs get pack lists by route.”
How it comes together
Customer portals are scoped by account. Each account can see its own orders, prices, and invoices, with boundaries enforced in the data.
The week runs on schedules. Jobs can generate standing orders, freeze cutoff, and remind accounts that have not confirmed.
Statuses can match your workflow. If you need an “on hold” state or another step, you describe it and the board, schema, and portal can update together.
The cutoff can be tested. A Scenario can sign in as a customer after cutoff and prove the edit is refused.
After order management, production logs and delivery boards often come next. That territory is mapped under internal tools.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe your order workflow, and it builds a real app for accounts, orders, statuses, stock, routes, and invoices.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Accounts, standing orders, cutoffs, stock commitments, pack sheets, and invoices are structured records.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask for new statuses, changed cutoff rules, new invoice fields, or different route views later.
Can customers change a standing order themselves?
Yes, until your cutoff. After that, changes can go through your team as recorded exceptions.
Can prices differ per customer?
Yes. Each account can carry its own price list and payment terms, and the order form and invoice read from those records.
Does the invoice always match what shipped?
It can. The invoice is generated from the dispatch record after shorts or substitutions are recorded.
What about customers who still order by phone?
Your team can enter the phone order into the same order board, and it flows through stock, pack sheets, and invoices like the others.
Can customer portals leak another account’s prices?
No, if scoped as described. Each account sees its own prices, orders, and invoices.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The system can run on your own domain.
Do I need a separate reporting tool?
No. Reports can read from the same orders, stock commitments, dispatch records, and invoices.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
