Build a music learning and practice platform
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your music learning and practice platform — tune libraries, tempos, practice logs, recording submissions, feedback, levels, and memberships — and it builds the real app.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a course template or a generic lesson portal — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the library, practice logs, recording uploads, feedback tools, membership access, student screens, and admin screens. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking, run it on your own domain, and take payments through your own Stripe account if you sell memberships. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a music learning and practice platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one.
Why build your own music practice platform?
Music teaching methods do not always fit course software. A teacher may organize learning by tunes, tempos, recordings, practice logs, and student submissions rather than modules and quizzes.
Kliv builds the platform around the method. A tune can have slow, medium, and full-speed recordings. Students can log practice, submit monthly recordings, receive timestamped feedback, and unlock levels through membership rules.
Tunes, sets, and practice logs
Five records shape the studio around how students actually practice.
The tune library
Each jig, reel, or hornpipe can store key, region, source recording, and three tempos. Students see the material their level has unlocked.
Sets and learning path
Tunes chain into sets, and sets into a repertoire path. The next tune can appear when the current set is ready.
The practice log
Students log minutes, tunes, and tempo reached from the practice screen. A teacher can see when a student stalled at 80% speed.
Recordings and feedback
Students submit a monthly recording. The file stays private, teacher notes attach to the exact recording, and the history remains available.
Students and standing
Level, membership state, passed sets, and attended sessions live on the student record. Access reads from that record.
An example: Eamon’s Irish fiddle studio
Here’s how one music teacher might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own instrument, method, levels, practice logs, and feedback process.
A student starts by listening
The student opens the slow recording for a reel and listens before playing. The tune page includes where the tune comes from and the source recording.
Practice logs show the tune taking shape
The student logs short phrase-by-phrase sessions at half speed. The medium recording stays locked until the practice rule says the phrases are ready.
Tempo progress becomes visible
The student moves from medium to full speed. The log keeps the tempo numbers, so the plateau is something the teacher can see and address.
A monthly recording captures progress
At month end, the student submits one take. It joins the private history next to earlier recordings.
Feedback attaches to the exact recording
Eamon marks two bars for bowing and one for lift, with notes tied to timestamps. The next practice week has clear work to do.
The tune joins the set
When the reel holds at speed, it chains onto two others. The next tune opens, and the online session gives students a place to play together.
Describe the practice platform you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include the instrument, library structure, practice logs, recordings, feedback, levels, sessions, and membership rules. Here are three to build on:
Suzuki studio companion
Parent logs, reference recordings, play-alongs, and recital readiness.
“Build a Suzuki violin studio app. Parents log daily practice, each Book 1 and Book 2 piece has reference and play-along recordings, recital readiness is tracked per student, and families pay $46 a month through membership billing.”
Choir section practice
Part recordings, repertoire folders, attendance, and director dashboard.
“Build a choir practice site. Add part recordings for soprano, alto, tenor, and bass; organize seasonal repertoire folders; track rehearsal attendance; and show the director who has practiced each piece before Sunday.”
Jazz improv workouts
Backing tracks, assignments, uploaded solos, and timestamped comments.
“Build a jazz practice platform. Include backing tracks by tempo and key, weekly transcription assignments, uploaded solo recordings, instructor comments tied to timestamps, and level-based access to advanced workouts.”
Membership tied to the library
Membership can run through the teacher’s own Stripe account. Enrollment and library access read from the same student record: when a student joins at $46 a month, level-one tunes and the session link open; when membership ends, access closes on schedule.
Students can also pause and resume for exam season or a summer of festivals. Pause and resume are subscription states, not spreadsheet favors.
Ear-learning is specific, but enrollment, levels, and visible progress are common teaching needs. The courses build on Kliv covers those pieces, certificates included.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. You describe your music teaching method, and Kliv builds the app you own.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the library, practice logs, recording uploads, feedback tools, level access, membership billing, and student screens around your method.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add instruments, change level rules, revise feedback, or add sessions by asking.
Can students download tune recordings?
That is your choice, per file. You can make recordings stream-only for current members or downloadable at a specific level.
I teach by ear. Can the platform avoid notation?
Yes. The app shows what you decide each level should see. Your method can delay notation or avoid it entirely.
Where do student recordings live?
In the app’s file store, private to the student and teacher. Other students cannot open them.
Can feedback attach to timestamps?
Yes. Teacher notes can point to exact moments in a student recording.
Could it run group sessions and workshops too?
Yes. Sessions can be records with dates, capacities, and signup lists drawn from current members.
Can memberships unlock levels?
Yes. Student level and membership state can decide which tunes, recordings, and sessions are available.
Does Kliv take a cut of memberships?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Kliv does not take a percentage of student memberships.
Do students need Stripe accounts?
No. Students or parents just pay by card.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The platform can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository.
