Build a custom lead generation and prospecting tool
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe how your team prospects, follows up, and tracks renewal windows, and it builds the tool around your sales motion.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a CRM you configure around someone else’s sales process — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the workflows. You own the result, run it on your own accounts, and can change it later by asking. It isn’t a template with your logo on it.
On this page, that app is a lead generation and prospecting tool. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example built around how a sales team actually follows up.
Why generic CRMs lose your best leads
Most CRMs are built for average sales teams. Many small teams don’t sell that way. A commercial landscaping company may care less about abstract opportunities and more about contract renewal months, because a property manager usually cannot switch vendors until the current agreement expires.
If that renewal month is just a note, the best leads go quiet at exactly the wrong time. Kliv builds the tool around the fields, stages, and timing rules your team uses, so the pipeline follows your business instead of forcing your team into a generic setup.
What the tool knows
Prospecting works when the record remembers the right things. These are the parts Kliv can build around.
Territories and lists
Office parks north of the river can belong to one estimator and the HOA belt to another. Imported lists land in territories, and each rep’s queue shows only their own accounts.
The prospect record
Property name, manager, current vendor, and contract renewal month all live on one record. That renewal month is searchable and reportable, not buried in a call note.
Cadences and callbacks
First touch, seven-day follow-up, quarterly check-in, and renewal-window reminders become scheduled tasks in the right rep’s queue.
Proposals and site notes
Walk-through photos and bid documents attach to the prospect, so the follow-up call starts with the right files open.
Pipeline and sources
Stages use the names your team uses. You can see conversion by source and the Friday number the owner cares about: proposals out versus contracts signed.
The 90-day alarm
A scheduled job scans renewal months and moves prospects into the active queue when their window is opening.
An example: Nadia’s commercial landscaping company
Here’s how one business might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own territories, lead stages, and follow-up rules.
A county list becomes prospect records
Nadia imports 300 properties from the county list. The tool deduplicates them against prospects the team already knows and assigns each one to a territory.
The renewal month becomes the key field
An estimator calls an office park and learns that the current landscaping contract ends in October. The record holds that date, so the estimator does not have to remember it later.
Quiet months still get follow-up
The team logs a spring check-in and a summer storm-damage note. Each touch stays on the prospect record and feeds the next scheduled callback.
The renewal window opens automatically
Ninety days before October, the nightly job promotes the property into the active queue and posts the reminder to the team’s Slack channel.
The bid moves the pipeline immediately
Walk-through photos and the bid PDF stay on the record. When the proposal goes out, the stage changes and Friday’s pipeline report updates.
A won contract starts the next cycle
When the deal is won, the new contract’s expiry date writes the next renewal reminder. The follow-up cycle starts from a real date, not a sticky note.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Spell out your lead sources, territories, stages, timing rules, and reports. Here are three to build on:
Territory prospecting tool
Renewal-month alarms and rep queues.
“Build a prospecting tool for our commercial landscaping company with two sales territories: North River office parks and East Belt HOAs. Import property lists, deduplicate by property address and manager email, log calls and site visits, store the current vendor and contract renewal month, and flag each prospect 90 days before renewal. Send each rep a morning task queue and send the owner a Friday digest with new leads, proposals out, and contracts signed.”
Referral pipeline tracker
Leads linked to who sent them.
“Build a lead tracker for our accounting firm. Track referral sources as their own records, link every lead back to the person or firm that sent it, show stages from new to consultation booked to proposal sent to won, and email quarterly thank-you summaries to the top 20 referrers with the number of leads they sent.”
Trade-show follow-up
Badge scans into a five-touch cadence.
“Build a trade-show follow-up tool for our B2B hardware team. Import badge scans from CSV, assign leads round-robin to five reps, create a five-touch cadence over 21 days, track demo interest and budget range, and put overdue tasks in each rep’s morning queue.”
How it comes together
Follow-up runs on a schedule. The nightly renewal scan, the morning queue, and the Friday owner digest run as scheduled jobs. A busy week does not erase a season of prospecting work.
Reps see the accounts they own. Row-level rules scope each estimator to their territory and let the owner see everything. Search, queues, and exports follow the same rule.
It can connect to tools you already use. A promoted lead can post to Slack, and won deals can sync to HubSpot if marketing works there. Integration credentials stay in a vault, not in the code.
Prospecting is often the first internal tool a team builds. Quoting, scheduling, and job tracking often come next. The internal-tools pattern shows how far the same approach goes.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the custom web app you need, it builds the app, and you own the result. For prospecting, that means a tool built around your territories, timing rules, pipeline stages, and reports.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the database, workflows, screens, and rules for your sales process. It is not a pre-made CRM layout you fill in.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You ask for changes in plain words. You can add lead fields, change a cadence, rename stages, add a report, or connect another tool later.
Can it import our existing spreadsheet?
Yes. You describe the columns, and the list becomes prospect records. Kliv can deduplicate on the fields you choose, such as address, company name, or manager email.
How do reps avoid working the same lead twice?
Ownership and territory are rules on the record. Each rep’s queue and search cover their own accounts, and an already-owned lead shows its owner instead of joining a second queue.
Can the cadence differ by lead type?
Yes. HOAs can get one sequence, office parks another, and trade-show leads another. Cadences are rules you describe and change later.
Can the owner see progress without logging in every day?
Yes. A scheduled digest can email the pipeline in your wording: new leads, stage changes, proposals sent, contracts signed, and renewal alarms due next week.
Can it post to Slack?
Yes. The source page’s example uses Slack for promoted renewal-window leads. Kliv can build that integration and keep the credentials in a vault.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain, and you can decide who can sign in.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
Do I need a separate CRM too?
Not for the workflow you build here. If another team already uses HubSpot or a similar tool, Kliv can send selected records onward instead of replacing everything at once.
