Build an internal communication platform
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your bulletins, acknowledgments, handoffs, crew channels, document locker, and digest emails, and it builds a platform for your team.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a chat tool you configure — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, roles, and workflows. What you get is a real web app that’s yours, on your own domain, and you can keep changing it by asking. It isn’t a template with company messages added.
On this page, that app is an internal communication platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one for teams that need proof, handoffs, and scoped information.
Why build your own internal communication platform?
Sending messages is easy. The hard part is proof and shape. When a safety procedure changes, “everyone was told” needs names and timestamps. When an engineer leaves a handoff note, it needs to be findable months later.
Generic chat is shaped like conversation. A crew communication platform can be shaped like the operation: vessels, rotations, bulletins, handoffs, documents, and digests. Kliv builds that shape from your description.
What the platform keeps straight
Communication becomes an operational record.
Bulletins and acknowledgments
A must-read bulletin records who confirmed it, name by name and timestamp by timestamp. The dashboard shows who is still outstanding.
Crews and rotations
Each person can carry a vessel, role, and rotation. The engine-room bulletin does not clutter a deckhand’s feed because the audience is based on records, not a stale list.
Handoff notes
A handoff note is tied to a vessel and shift. It stays searchable when the same compressor or route problem appears months later.
Document locker
Manuals, circulars, schedules, and older versions live with access rules. The current version stays on top while previous versions remain available.
Shore digest
A scheduled email can send the week that mattered: new bulletins, open acknowledgments, and flagged handoffs every Friday at 14:00.
An example: Signe’s ferry crew platform
Here’s how one ferry operation might use an internal communication platform built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own teams, roles, and communication rules.
A procedure change becomes a record
Signe publishes a new mooring procedure and marks it must-read for deck crews on all three vessels. It is one bulletin record, not three emails and a poster.
Crew acknowledge from the water
Deckhands confirm from their phones between sailings. The dashboard shows 41 of 56 confirmed, so Signe sees the real status.
The platform nudges the remaining crew
The remaining fifteen get a nudge on their next sign-in and an email that evening. Signe does not chase each person manually.
Questions stay with the bulletin
A bosun asks whether the procedure covers the reserve ferry. The answer lands under the bulletin, visible to the crew rather than lost in a private thread.
The record proves it landed
By Friday, all 56 crew have confirmed with names and times. If the port authority asks, the answer is a report.
Describe the communication platform you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include roles, channels, acknowledgments, handoffs, documents, and digest rules. Here are three to build on:
Ferry crew communication
Three vessels, rotating crews, and must-read bulletins.
“Build a crew communication platform for our three ferries. Safety bulletins should require acknowledgment per person, channels should be scoped by vessel and crew role, engineers should write shift handoff notes per vessel, and shore staff should get a Friday 14:00 digest.”
Warehouse shift board
Handoffs and safety notes across two sites.
“Build an internal communication tool for our two warehouses. Shift leads should post handoff notes, safety bulletins should require confirmation, department channels should be limited to their teams, and managers should see a weekly list of unread bulletins.”
Retail chain updates
Head office updates with completion proof.
“Build a store communication hub for 12 retail locations. Head office should post merchandising updates with photos, store managers should confirm completion with a photo, and regional managers should see which stores are still outstanding.”
How the platform holds the rules
Audience is enforced. A bulletin carries a rule such as deck crews on all vessels. The app resolves who that means today, including people who changed vessels last week.
People can sign in without company email. Crew can use a personal address, Google, or a passkey, with roles and vessels attached to their accounts. You do not need a directory project before day one.
The noticeboard can answer from documents. Upload circulars and manuals into a knowledge base, and an agent can answer common questions from your documents, naming the source it used. The exchange is kept as a transcript.
Ask-the-noticeboard is one internal tool among many. The wider family is covered at internal tools.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For internal communication, it builds the records, roles, feeds, acknowledgments, handoffs, and scheduled digests.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. It is built around your teams, shifts, roles, documents, and proof requirements rather than a generic chat layout.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add channels, change acknowledgment rules, add a new digest, or adjust roles by asking for changes.
Our crews will not adopt another app. What makes this one stick?
It can be shaped to their day: vessel channel, handoff note, bulletin to confirm, and little else. It runs in the browser on phones they already carry.
Can we prove a bulletin was read?
Yes. Each acknowledgment is a row with a name and timestamp. The bulletin dashboard shows who is outstanding, and you can export the list.
Can office staff and crew see different things?
Yes. Roles, vessels, and assignments decide visibility, enforced where the data lives.
What happens to handoff notes over time?
They become searchable history per vessel or team. A recurring compressor problem is a search away, not a story someone carried away.
Can people without company email sign in?
Yes. You can let staff use personal email, Google, or passkeys, with the right roles attached.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain.
Do I need a separate document tool?
No. Manuals, schedules, and circulars can live in the app with version history and access rules.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and your data can be exported.
Can the platform send scheduled emails?
Yes. Digests, reminders, and follow-ups can be scheduled from the records in the app.
