Kliv isn’t an alert vendor with a fixed roster screen — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the roster, message templates, roll calls, role rules, drill records, scheduled checks, and screens. You own the result, run it on your own domain, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a template plan document.

Why the night shift finds out last
A plant emergency plan can be well written and still fail in the gap between the plan and the roster. Phone numbers change, contractors come and go, seasonal hiring doubles a department, and nobody should be composing a message from scratch during an emergency.
Kliv builds the operational system around the plan: who is on which shift and in which zone tonight, which messages are already approved, who acknowledged them, and what each drill proved or missed.
What must be true before the siren
These records are maintained while nothing is wrong, because the alarm is the wrong time to discover missing data.
People and shifts
Every worker has a role, shift, and zone. Contractors are carried for the exact weeks they are inside the gates, so the roll call only asks about people the roster says are on site.
Reachability
Each person’s channels have a last-confirmed date. A number that has not been confirmed in a quarter is treated as missing work before it matters.
Pre-approved messages
Each scenario has calm messages written in advance, in the languages your floor uses. In the moment, the sender chooses the scenario instead of writing under pressure.
Wardens and zones
Each zone has a muster point and a warden per shift. “Who sweeps the freezer aisle on nights?” is a record, not a question for memory.
The drill ledger
Every drill and real alert stores timings, gaps, and follow-up fixes. Each run sits next to the last one so improvement can be measured.
An example: Selma’s frozen-vegetable plant
Here’s how one plant might use an emergency communication system built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own shifts, zones, wardens, channels, languages, and drill process.
The alert goes to the people on site
Selma triggers the evacuation scenario during the August drill. The pre-approved message goes to the 94 people the current roster puts inside the gates, and not to people on leave or outside their contractor dates.
Wardens see their own zones
Zone wardens open roll-call lists with names, photos, and running counts for their area. Packing hall B clears in four minutes, with each tap stored as an acknowledgment row with a timestamp.
Missing people become a visible gap
Two contractors show as unaccounted for in a cold-store aisle with poor signal. A warden checks the aisle, marks them safe, and the gap becomes a note on the drill instead of a rumor.
The debrief uses exact timings
The drill reaches full accounting in 12 minutes, two minutes slower than March. The reason is visible: contractor check-in left a gap.
The fix becomes a rule to test next time
Selma adds a contractor check-in rule: no zone badge, no gate entry. The next drill will show whether the change worked.

Ready is a maintained state
The plan answers the person asking. The emergency plan, chemical sheets, and evacuation maps can live in a knowledge base the app’s agent can read. When a seasonal night-shift hire asks where to go if the ammonia alarm sounds, the answer can use her current zone and tonight’s warden.
Freshness is scheduled. Quarterly confirmation requests go out on your templates. Anything unconfirmed appears on Selma’s dashboard as a named chore.
Contact details stay need-to-know. Wardens can see roll-call names and status for their zone. Personal phone numbers are served only to coordinator roles.
Most internal tools earn their keep an hour at a time; this one earns it in minutes. Internal tools for the day you hope never comes deserve the same rigor as everyday tools.

What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the emergency communication system you need, it builds the app, and you own the result. For this page, that means rosters, alert messages, roll calls, acknowledgments, and drill records.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the database, screens, roles, scheduled checks, and alert workflows for your plant or workplace. It is not a printable emergency-plan template.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Add a zone, change a message, add a language, revise the drill report, or adjust which roles can see contact details by asking in plain words.
Does it send text messages?
Email and in-app alerts are built in, on your own templates. If the plant already has an SMS gateway, a typed server function can call it, with the token kept server-side.
How does it know who’s on site?
It reads the roster: shifts, zones, leave, and contractor date ranges. Someone on leave is not counted; a contractor inside their active range is.
Can employees see each other’s contact details?
No, unless your rule says they can. Personal numbers are served only to coordinator roles. Wardens can see names and roll-call status for their zone without seeing phone numbers.
What keeps the roster from going stale?
Scheduled confirmations, last-confirmed dates, and a dashboard that treats “unconfirmed for a quarter” as work somebody owns.
Can it support multiple languages?
Yes. You can store pre-approved messages in the languages your floor uses and choose the right version for each recipient or scenario.
Can wardens use it during a drill?
Yes. Wardens can open their own zone list, mark people accounted for or missing, and record notes while the drill is running.
Does it replace the emergency plan?
No. It turns the plan into a maintained system: roster, messages, roll calls, drill results, and follow-up fixes.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app runs on your own domain with the sign-in and access rules you define.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
