Build a classroom management app
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the classroom management app you need — roster, seating, behavior log, parent threads, project gallery, and privacy rules — and Kliv builds it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a behavior-points product or a school template — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds the database, rules, screens, and family views. You own the result, run it on your own domain and accounts, and keep changing it by asking for changes. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is a classroom management app. Kliv builds many kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own classroom management app?
Many classroom tools focus on points, avatars, or leaderboards. A teacher often needs something plainer: a roster, a seating chart, accommodations that survive a substitute, parent conversations on the right student record, and enough history to spot a pattern.
Kliv builds the room’s working record as one app. Roster, chart, behavior log, parent threads, project photos, and family digest all read from the same student records.
That means October can be a query in February, not a guess.
A classroom’s working memory
Five kinds of record, each with its own access rule.
Roster
Each student record can hold photo, pickup permissions, allergy flags, and accommodations. Sensitive fields can be scoped to the staff who should see them.
Seating and rotations
The chart is data: who sits where, who should not share a table, and which groups rotate through the lab. A new unit can reshuffle by rule.
Behavior log
A note ties a student, time, and event together. Three notes in ten days can become a visible pattern instead of a hunch.
Parent threads
Every parent contact can live on the student’s record: what was said, when, and by whom.
Project wall
Project photos land in the file store. Each family sees their own child’s work and no one else’s.
An example: Dana’s sixth-grade room
Here’s how one teacher might use a classroom management app built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own roster, routines, privacy rules, and family communication.
A pattern appears in the behavior log
Dana logs Theo’s third transition-time issue on October 6. The log now shows three similar notes, all during transitions and none during labs.
The seating chart gives her one variable to change
The chart shows the incidents all happen in rotation C, near the window. Next unit, Dana reshuffles by rule and changes one variable at a time.
The parent conversation stays on the record
Dana emails Theo’s father from the app. The message files on Theo’s record, so in February everyone can see what was discussed in October.
The counselor gets only the right window
Dana shares Theo’s log with the school counselor. The counselor sees Theo’s relevant records, not the rest of Room 12.
The conference uses facts
By November, the pattern has improved. Dana brings dates, seat changes, and notes to the conference instead of relying on memory.
Describe the room you run
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include roster fields, seating rules, logs, family communication, and privacy. Here are three examples to build on:
Middle-school homeroom
Roster, rotations, behavior log, parent threads, and Friday digest.
“Build a classroom management app for my sixth-grade homeroom with 29 students, seating charts I can reshuffle by rule, four lab rotations, a per-student behavior log, parent contact threads, project photos scoped to each family, and a Friday digest email from the class address.”
Multi-age studio
Individual plans, portfolio photos, and private staff notes.
“Build a classroom app for a multi-age learning studio where each child has an individual weekly plan, a photographed portfolio their family can browse, attendance tracking, and progress notes visible only to staff.”
Five-teacher team
Shared students, one log, hall passes, and room-specific charts.
“Build a classroom management system for a five-teacher middle-school team sharing 120 students, with one common behavior log, hall-pass tracking, a seating chart per room, family communication history, and counselor access scoped by student.”
What the school never issued
The Friday digest runs on schedule. A scheduled job can assemble each family’s week — project photos, reading minutes, and any note Dana wrote — and send it Friday at 3:05 from the class address.
A handbook can answer routine questions. The syllabus, retake policy, and field-trip packet can go into a knowledge base. An agent in the family portal can answer from those documents and that family’s own records.
Privacy does not depend on tact. Dana sees the whole room. Each family sees one child. Row-level rules decide what a query returns before a page is drawn.
This page is about a classroom, not a business. Teachers who also sell tutoring blocks, summer intensives, or exam prep can see the paid version at the courses page.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the classroom app you need, and it builds a real app with student records, seating, logs, family views, and privacy rules.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds around your roster, room routines, logs, digest, and permissions.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask for new fields, new seating rules, new digest content, or new sharing rules later.
Who can see a behavior note?
Only the staff roles you choose, and if you choose, the student’s own family. Other families cannot see it.
Do parents need accounts?
Only for a portal. Families can sign in to see their own child’s thread, gallery, and digest history. You can also send plain email digests.
Can I import my roster from a spreadsheet?
Yes. A roster can import from CSV, then continue as a real database you own.
Is student data safe here?
The app is yours, with its own database. Student records are scoped by rules you define, and nothing is shared unless you build that sharing.
Can I make seating charts by rule?
Yes. You can describe rules such as separated students, mixed reading levels, lab groups, or accessibility needs.
Can families see project photos?
Yes. Photos can be attached to a student and shown only to that student’s family.
Can a counselor see just one student’s information?
Yes. Access can be scoped so a counselor sees the student records you share, not the whole class.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The class portal can run on your own domain if you want one.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, and records can be exported.
