Build a chef masterclass platform
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your course — video lessons, drip schedule, recipes, tutor agent, student community, enrollment, and memberships — and it builds the platform around it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t just a video host or course theme — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the lesson records, video access rules, drip schedule, checkout, community, tutor agent, membership areas, and admin screens. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking, and run payments on your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is a chef masterclass platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own masterclass platform?
A chef may need more than video hosting. The teaching system can include a paced course, lesson files, recipe sheets, student posts, critique threads, a tutor agent grounded in the chef’s own notes, and a membership for alumni.
Kliv builds those parts as one application you own. Lessons, schedules, recipes, conversations, community posts, enrollments, and memberships live in your database, with payment running on your own Stripe account.
What the kitchen classroom knows
These records carry the course and its rules.
Lessons and modules
Each lesson can hold the video, recipe sheet, technique notes, and position in the course. The lesson page renders from that record.
The drip schedule
Module two can open seven days after enrollment, module three a week later, or the drip can anchor to a cohort date.
Recipe corpus and tutor agent
Recipes, ratios, and troubleshooting notes can be indexed so the tutor agent answers from your material. Conversations are saved for review.
The crumb-shot community
Students can post photos of their bakes and receive critique in a members-only space visible only to enrolled students.
Enrollment and membership
A $240 course and a $29 monthly alumni membership can sit in the same catalog. Payment opens the access it names.
An example: Camille’s pastry masterclass
Here’s how one chef might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own lessons, schedule, recipes, community, prices, and membership rules.
A student enrolls in the course
Camille’s student pays $240 at checkout on Camille’s Stripe account. Module one opens immediately, and the rest of the six-week course shows its unlock dates.
The first week sets the base
The student watches the fundamentals videos, downloads recipe sheets, and posts a first dough photo to the private community.
The tutor answers from Camille’s notes
At 6am, the butter shatters during lamination. The student asks the tutor and gets Camille’s temperature range and fix from her own notes.
The drip protects the sequence
The student wants the shaping module early, but it opens on the scheduled date. The course order is enforced by access, not just suggested.
The community becomes teaching material
A week-five crumb shot gets critique from classmates and Camille. The thread stays in her database for future course improvements.
Alumni access opens separately
After finishing the course, the student joins the $29 monthly alumni membership for live bake-alongs, seasonal recipes, and continued community access.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include lessons, prices, drip rules, access rules, community, and tutor content. Here are three to build on:
Pastry masterclass
Drip modules, community, and tutor agent.
“Build a pastry masterclass platform with a six-week laminated-dough course sold for $240, week-by-week video modules, downloadable recipe sheets, a members-only community for posting bakes, and a tutor agent that answers from my recipes, ratios, and technique notes.”
Regional cooking school
Separate courses and forums.
“Build a cooking school site where Italian, Thai, and Mexican regional cuisines are separate $89 courses with video lessons, shopping lists, and a member forum per course. Students should keep access to purchased courses after finishing.”
Fermentation course
Long timelines and troubleshooting.
“Build a fermentation course platform with lessons timed to a 30-day ferment schedule, photo check-ins on days 1, 3, 7, 14, and 30, and an agent that troubleshoots from my fermentation logs and safety notes.”
How it comes together
Videos are files with access rules. Lessons live in your file store behind the enrollment entitlement. Access is checked per person and per file.
Two prices can share one catalog. The $240 course and $29 monthly membership can be products in the same commerce engine, with promotion codes, proration, and failed-card recovery where you need them.
You can rehearse launch before charging anyone. In the Sandbox, use test payments and simulated time to run a first cohort, process a refund, and test three months of membership renewals before a real card is charged.
Pricing a course, running cohorts, and keeping completion up are their own discipline. The courses page covers that broader course-business work.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For a chef masterclass, that can mean lessons, video access, drip schedules, checkout, community, memberships, and a tutor agent.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the database, access rules, pages, checkout, and admin tools around your course.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask for changes such as a new module, cohort dates, a different unlock schedule, a membership tier, or revised tutor material.
Can students share the videos outside the course?
Videos are served from the file store only to signed-in students whose enrollment allows access. There is no public lesson URL to forward.
What does the tutor agent know?
It answers from what you provide: recipes, ratios, troubleshooting notes, and other course material. Each conversation can be saved in your database.
Can I run cohorts instead of open enrollment?
Yes. Enrollment can open and close on dates, and the drip can anchor to a cohort start date instead of each student’s purchase date.
What happens when an alumni membership lapses?
Retries and recovery emails can run first. If it still lapses, alumni-only areas close on schedule while the completed one-time course stays available if that is your rule.
Does Kliv take a cut of course sales?
No. Payments run on your own Stripe account. Card processing fees are between you and Stripe.
Do students need Stripe accounts?
No. Students pay by card. Stripe is how the money reaches your account.
Can I offer promotion codes?
Yes. Promotion codes and launch cohort discounts can be part of the checkout you describe.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The course platform can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and your data can be exported.
Do I need a separate CMS?
No. The app is its own admin for lessons, videos, recipe sheets, community posts, memberships, and page text.
