What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a generic subscription tool — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, billing logic, checkout, self-serve pages, access gates, and admin screens. What you get is a real web app that’s yours, on your own domain, running payments through your own Stripe account, and you can change it later by asking.

Why build your own subscription manager?
Some subscription businesses do not fit software-company billing. A car wash may sell one membership per vehicle, not per person. A tier may change what the lane kiosk allows. A winter pause may stop billing but keep the customer’s history and price.
Kliv builds the manager around your rules. The member, vehicle, plan, payment, pause, and gate check read one record, so billing and access change together.
An example: Ray’s unlimited car wash
Here’s how one business might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own plans, pauses, gates, and billing rules.
A vehicle starts on Basic
A pickup joins the Basic plan at $24 a month. The plate is registered at the counter, checkout completes, and the membership is active before the driver leaves.
A tier change updates the gate
In June, the owner switches to Ceramic from a phone. The price difference prorates, and the lane honors the new tier on the next visit.
A failed card starts a grace period
In August, the renewal fails. Retries and reminder emails run, the membership stays in grace for 7 days, and the customer updates the card from the billing page.
A winter pause stops billing and access
In November, the snowbird pauses until spring. Billing stops, the plate goes inactive that hour, and the history stays on the same record.
Resuming keeps the same membership
In March, the customer resumes with one tap. Same vehicle, same tier, same record; the lane opens again.
One record, every gate
The system keeps the records that billing and access both read.
Members and vehicles
A membership can belong to a plate. A family’s second car can be a second subscription on the same account, each with its own tier, status, and history.
Plans and tiers
Basic, Deluxe, and Ceramic are prices with entitlements. What each tier includes is data in the catalog.
Pauses
Pausing is a subscription state with rules: how long it may last, how often it can happen, and what remains visible.
Grace and failed cards
A failed renewal starts your configured countdown: retries, reminders, then access closes if payment is not fixed.
Self-serve billing
Members can update cards, switch tiers, pause, and read invoices from their own page.
The gate check
A kiosk, crew app, or gate asks whether the subscription is active right now. The answer comes from the live subscription record.

How it comes together
The gate reads the ledger. A lane kiosk, gate code, crew list, or check-in screen reads the live subscription record. No nightly export has to catch up.
Failed-card recovery runs before cancellation. Retries and reminders can recover expired cards without front-desk calls, and the grace period follows your policy.
You can test a season first. In the Sandbox, run pauses, resumes, failed cards, and refunds on test payments before touching a real card.
Reports count the right things. Analytics can track sign-ups, churn, revenue per plan, and custom events such as washes per member per month.

What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For subscription management, it builds your member records, billing, access rules, and self-serve pages.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the database, billing logic, screens, and access checks for your business.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Ask for changes to plans, pause rules, grace periods, or kiosk checks, and Kliv updates the app.
Can members pause and resume on their own?
Yes, within the rules you set. Pause and resume are subscription states, so billing and access change together.
What stops a lapsed member from using the service?
The gate check reads the live record. If the membership lapsed this morning, the gate sees it this morning.
Can one account hold several vehicles?
Yes. One account can hold multiple vehicles, each with its own subscription, tier, and history.
What happens when a card fails?
Retries and reminder emails run on your schedule. Access closes only after the grace period you set.
Does Kliv take a cut per member?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account, and card fees are between you and Stripe.
Do my customers need their own Stripe accounts?
No. Members just pay by card.
Can members manage their own billing?
Yes. They can update cards, switch tiers, pause where allowed, and download invoices.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s source syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull.
