Build an AI-powered product customization store
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your options, allowed combinations, pricing rules, checkout, proof step, and bench queue, and it builds the product customization store on your own Stripe account.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a storefront theme or a variant plug-in — it’s an AI app builder that creates software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: product records, option rules, pricing, checkout, customer pages, and workshop screens. For commerce, payments run on your own Stripe account. You can change the app later by asking. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is an AI-powered product customization store for made-to-order goods. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own customization store?
Marta and Ines make leather dog collars to order. Customers choose width, leather, hardware, stamp text, and neck measurement. A standard variant grid turns that into hundreds of SKUs, including combinations the workshop will not make.
Kliv builds the store around a structured spec. The option matrix says what exists, what fits together, and how price is calculated. The customer sees a clear order, checkout charges the computed price, and the bench queue gets a ticket it can build from.
The spec, the ticket, and the bench
Each custom order moves through records that everyone can read.
The option matrix
Widths, leathers, hardware, thread, stamp length, and allowed combinations are records. A 15mm strap can reject a heavy brass buckle before payment.
The spec drafter
The assistant turns a written request into a structured spec using only the matrix. Anything outside the matrix becomes a question for the workshop.
The order ticket
Spec, computed price, measurement, and customer note live in one record that checkout, workshop, and customer can all read.
The bench queue
Queued, cutting, stitching, finishing, and shipped are states stamped with who changed them and when.
The proof photo
A photo of the finished piece can attach to the order before shipping, so the customer can approve the stamp and finish.
Reorders
A previous spec can be copied, adjusted, and repriced from the current matrix for a new order.
An example: Marta and Ines’s collar workshop
Here’s how one workshop might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own options, rules, prices, proof steps, and production queue.
A written request becomes choices
A customer asks for a 25mm oxblood bridle leather collar with brass hardware, JUNO stamped on it, for a 38cm neck. The assistant maps the request to the option matrix.
The price computes from the spec
The store shows 25mm, oxblood, brass, JUNO, 38cm, and a $68 price computed from the option rules, without a quote email.
Checkout creates the workshop ticket
The customer pays in full through the workshop’s Stripe account, and the ticket lands in the bench queue.
The customer sees production status
The order moves through cutting, stitching, finishing, and shipped. The customer reads the same status the workshop updates.
A proof photo confirms the order
A finished-collar photo attaches to the order. The customer approves it from their phone, and the shipping label can be printed.
A later reorder copies the old spec
When Juno grows, the customer copies the previous collar, changes the size, and gets a new price from the current matrix.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so include options, allowed combinations, pricing, proof steps, payment timing, and production states. Here are three examples:
Custom dog collars
Options, stamps, sizes, and workshop states.
“Build a made-to-order store for leather dog collars. Customers choose width, leather, hardware, thread, name stamp, and neck measurement; 15mm straps cannot use heavy brass buckles; prices compute from base, leather grade, hardware, and stamping; and orders move through queued, cutting, stitching, proof photo, and shipped states.”
Engraved cutting boards
Wood, size, engraving, and proof photo.
“Build a store for made-to-order cutting boards. Customers choose walnut, maple, or cherry; pick 12x18, 16x20, or 18x24 sizes; enter up to 80 engraving characters; see an instant computed price; pay in full; and approve a proof photo before shipping.”
Made-to-measure blinds
Measurements, fabric, and instant pricing.
“Build a product customization store for made-to-measure blinds. Customers enter width and drop in centimeters, choose fabric and lining, get an instant computed price, pay a 50% deposit, and track cutting, sewing, quality check, and dispatch.”
Pricing, testing, and inventory
The price is computed, not negotiated. A server-side function can calculate each custom price from base, material, hardware, and stamping rules, and tests can cover the math.
You can rehearse before real payments. Run the whole flow with test payments: spec, checkout, refund, proof, and queue.
The matrix shows what sells. Structured specs let the dashboard show which leathers, widths, and options are actually ordered.
Selling direct has more parts: repeat buyers, margins, lists, and drops. The direct-to-consumer page covers that broader story.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder that creates custom web apps from a description. For product customization, it can build option matrices, spec drafting, computed pricing, checkout, order pages, proof steps, and workshop queues.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the store, database, rules, checkout, and workflow around your made-to-order process.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can change options, combinations, prices, queue states, proof steps, and customer pages later.
Does the assistant design the products?
No. It translates a customer request into your option matrix. Requests outside the matrix are routed to you.
What stops impossible combinations from being ordered?
The matrix is read by both the spec drafter and checkout. A combination you did not allow has no path to payment.
Can customers reorder without starting over?
Yes. A previous spec can be copied, adjusted, and repriced from the current matrix.
How do refunds work for one-of-one items?
On your terms. A refund request can wait for explicit approval before money moves, and store credit can be offered instead.
Does Kliv take a cut?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Card fees are between you and Stripe.
Do customers need Stripe accounts?
No. They just pay by card.
Can I test checkout before launch?
Yes. You can run the full order flow on test payments before connecting real payments.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, and the catalog and order records are exportable.
