You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the workflows. You own the result, run it on your own accounts, and change it later by asking for changes. It isn’t a template with your name on it.

What the optical system keeps
Each record carries a date, status, or access rule.
Prescriptions
Sphere, cylinder, axis, PD, and expiry date can sit on the customer record, and order entry can check whether a prescription is still valid.
Lab jobs
A job can move through ordered, at lab, arrived, notified, and collected, with who and when stamped on each state.
Frame inventory
Every SKU can track brand, size, color, and location. Transfers between shops are records, not favors someone has to remember.
Exam days and recalls
Optometrist days can be bookable, and each saved exam can set the next recall date automatically.
Customers
A customer can see their own history and orders, while staff can access the records needed to run the shop.
An example: Beata’s two optical shops
Here’s how one optician might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own locations, lab workflow, prescription rules, and recall timing.
An exam resets the recall clock
On Thursday, a new prescription is saved with expiry details. The customer’s next recall date updates at the same time.
A frame transfer is recorded
The customer wants a tortoise frame at the harbor shop. Beata requests the transfer, and both shop counts update.
The lab job has a visible state
Prescription, frame, and lens options become a lab job. Any counter can answer where the glasses are.
Arrival sends the collection email
When the lab box is scanned in, the job moves to arrived and the customer gets the collection email.
The recall list appears on Monday
Twenty-three months later, the customer crosses the recall threshold. Monday’s list includes him unless he is already booked.

The recall list is a query. Exams crossing 24 months, minus anyone already booked, can become Monday’s list and reminder emails.
Contact lenses can be subscription-based. A 90-day supply at $42 can renew on schedule, with failed-card retries and customer reminders.
Two locations can share one truth. Both shops write to the same database, so frame counts, customer history, and reports do not need reconciling.

What exactly is Kliv?

Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Prescriptions, lab jobs, frames, exams, recalls, and customers are structured records built around your shop.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask for changed statuses, new fields, new recall rules, or added customer views later.
Does it talk to the lab?
If your lab takes orders by email, the order sheet can go out by email. If the lab has an API, a typed server-side function can integrate with it. The job state still lives in your system.
Prescriptions are personal data. Who can read them?
Shop staff can read the records they need, and a signed-in customer can be limited to their own rows.
We have two shops. Is that one system or two?
One system. Location is a field on frames, sales, and reports, so both shops can share one customer base and inventory view.
Is this just another SaaS subscription?
Kliv is the platform you subscribe to; the app is yours. Your data is in your app and can export whole.
Can it handle contact lens subscriptions?
Yes. A repeat 90-day supply can bill on schedule, retry failed cards, and show delivery and prescription status to the wearer.
Can I use my own domain?

Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
