Build a custom multi-tenant SaaS
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your multi-tenant SaaS — tenants, roles, row-level isolation, trials, plans, usage metering, and billing — and it builds the real app on your own Stripe account.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a SaaS starter kit or a boilerplate template — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: organizations, tenant isolation, roles, billing, metering, product screens, admin tools, and tests. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking, run it on your own domain, and charge through your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a multi-tenant SaaS. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one.
Why build your SaaS on working infrastructure?
A vertical SaaS founder usually knows the product problem. The slow part is the shared infrastructure: tenant isolation, billing, trials, upgrades, roles, metering, and safe test environments.
Kliv builds that infrastructure around the product you describe. Each customer gets its own organization, rows are scoped to that organization, plans run on your Stripe account, and roles match the business you are serving.
What a tenant is
Multi-tenancy is a set of hard promises. These are the mechanisms behind them.
Organizations
A tenant is an organization: one customer, its users, and its data. One campground cannot read another campground’s records because rows are scoped by owner.
Roles inside each tenant
Owner, manager, and gate staff can be roles inside each organization. The same person can have different roles in different organizations.
Plans and subscriptions
Starter at $49, Pro at $149, and a 14-day trial can run on your own Stripe account. Upgrades prorate, and failed cards go through dunning before access closes.
Metered usage
If you charge per reservation processed, the meter fills as tenants work. Usage and invoices read from the same records.
The tenant’s product data
Sites, seasons, rate calendars, and reservations are the vertical product. Every row belongs to exactly one campground.
Separate environments
Live, test, and sandbox environments stay separate, so you can try a rate-engine change without touching real bookings.
An example: Priya’s campground SaaS
Here’s how one founder might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own tenants, roles, pricing, meters, and product data.
The first year is tested before launch
Priya runs invented campgrounds through a compressed year in the Sandbox: signup, upgrades, failed cards, usage, and churn before real money is involved.
The first tenant starts a trial
A friendly campground signs up. Its organization is created, the 14-day trial starts, and the owner invites two staff members with roles.
A stranger converts without a call
A second campground arrives from the blog, starts the same trial, and converts through checkout on Priya’s Stripe account.
An upgrade opens Pro immediately
In midsummer, the first tenant upgrades from Starter to Pro. Proration is computed, the invoice explains the change, and Pro features open right away.
A larger operator adds several properties
A five-campground operator joins. Each property becomes its own organization under one owner without changing the app’s structure.
Billing combines plans and usage
At month end, subscriptions and metered reservations are invoiced per tenant, and revenue by plan and tenant is visible in the dashboard.
Describe the SaaS you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include tenants, roles, plans, trials, metering, and the product records each tenant owns. Here are three to build on:
Campground SaaS
Sites, seasons, reservations, staff roles, and two plans.
“Build a multi-tenant SaaS for campgrounds. Each operator manages sites, seasonal rates, and reservations in its own organization. Include owner, manager, and gate-staff roles; a 14-day trial; Starter at $49 a month; Pro at $149 a month; and a metered charge for reservations processed.”
Kennel software
Bookings, vaccination records, staff roles, and usage billing.
“Build a SaaS for dog-boarding kennels. Each kennel is a tenant with runs, bookings, customer records, and vaccination files. Add staff roles, a 14-day trial, a $79 monthly plan, and a metered charge of $0.25 per completed booking.”
Print-shop orders
Quotes, jobs, proofs, and per-job metering.
“Build a multi-tenant order system for print shops. Each shop is an organization with quotes, jobs, customer proof approvals, staff roles, a $99 monthly plan, and a metered charge of $0.40 per completed job.”
The parts founders usually rebuild
Identity is included in the app. Tenant staff can sign in with email, Google, or passkeys, and two-factor can be available when a customer asks for it.
Isolation can be tested. A Scenario test can sign in as Pine Hollow and try to reach Cedar Flats’ reservations. The test drives the real app in a browser and records the refusal.
Support can live inside the product. Tenants can file questions into support threads that already know which organization is asking and which plan they are on.
When the product starts working, pricing changes, enterprise tenants, and a second product line belong on the SaaS solutions page.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. You describe the SaaS you want, and Kliv builds the app you own.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds tenant organizations, roles, billing, metering, product screens, admin tools, and tests around your product.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add roles, plans, meters, tenant data, reports, or product features by asking.
How is tenant data kept apart?
Every record belongs to an organization, and scoping runs at the database row. A query cannot quietly widen past its tenant.
What does the trial actually do?
It gives full access for the trial period you set. At the end, checkout converts the tenant or access closes on schedule.
Can I charge by usage instead of seats?
Yes. Define a meter and a unit price, and usage accumulates onto each tenant’s invoice. You can combine flat plans and usage charges.
Does Kliv take a cut of SaaS revenue?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Kliv does not take a percentage of subscription revenue.
Do my customers need Stripe accounts?
No. Your customers just pay by card.
What happens when a tenant leaves?
The subscription ends on schedule and the organization’s rows remain exportable and restorable if the tenant returns.
Can a customer have several organizations?
Yes. A larger operator can own several organizations, each with its own data and staff roles.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The SaaS can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull.
Can I test tenant isolation before launch?
Yes. Scenario tests can sign in as one tenant and try to read another tenant’s data, then record the refusal.
