Build a multi-company financial management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your multi-company financial management system — separate entities, ledgers, intercompany entries, accountant access, and group cash views — and it builds the real app.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t an accounting package you configure — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: entities, ledgers, access rules, intercompany workflows, dashboards, exports, and screens. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking, and run it on your own domain. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a financial management system for a group with several companies. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one.
Why build your own multi-company finance system?
A group may have several legal entities but one finance desk. Separate accounting subscriptions can make the companies hard to compare. One shared file can blur the walls that need to stay real.
Kliv builds the structure around the group: each entity has its own ledger, fiscal calendar, bank accounts, and access rules, while the group view reads from the same rows and nets out internal transactions.
What companies share and what they do not
A group needs firm walls and one view above them. Both are records here.
Entities
Each company is a record with registration details, fiscal calendar, VAT setup, bank accounts, and access rules.
Per-entity ledgers
Invoices, bills, and journal entries belong to exactly one company. Ledgers share an app without becoming interchangeable.
Intercompany entries
A monthly recharge can be one action that writes both sides: receivable for one entity, payable for another, tagged as internal for consolidation.
Scoped logins
An external accountant can be scoped to one entity’s books and documents, without access to the rest of the group.
The group view
Cash, revenue, and obligations across entities can be recomputed from the ledgers, with internal transactions netted out.
An example: Vasilis’s family business group
Here’s how one finance desk might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own entities, ledgers, intercompany rules, access scopes, and reports.
The rent recharge posts once
Vasilis triggers the monthly rent recharge between the property company and the operating company. One server-side action writes both sides in the same transaction.
Each entity keeps its own books
The tavernas record takings, the catering arm bills a wedding, and every row lands under the right entity and VAT setup.
Accountants see only their entity
Three external accountants sign in with three scopes. Each can download the records for the company they handle and nothing outside that engagement.
The group view answers the bank
When the bank asks for cash and exposure across the group, Vasilis opens the consolidated view with internal rent netted out and balances shown by entity.
Period end starts from clean rows
The holding-company view is assembled from the ledgers below it, so the finance desk spends less time cross-checking the same internal entries.
Describe the group you want to manage
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include entities, ledgers, tax setups, access scopes, intercompany rules, and group views. Here are three to build on:
Family business group
Operating companies, property, holding, and one finance desk.
“Build a multi-company finance system for our family group. Keep separate ledgers for three operating companies, one property company, a catering arm, and a holding company; post monthly intercompany rent recharges to both sides; and show consolidated cash with internal transactions netted out.”
Franchise owner’s office
Separate location companies and a group profit view.
“Build a financial management tool for an owner of four franchise companies. Keep separate books per location company, share supplier records where appropriate, give each accountant access only to their assigned company, and show group profit by month.”
Holding with subsidiaries
Different calendars, VAT setups, and intercompany loans.
“Build a group finance system where each subsidiary keeps its own fiscal calendar and VAT setup, intercompany loans track interest automatically, and the holding company sees consolidated cash, debt, and obligations.”
Where the walls come from
Every row belongs to an entity. Row-level rules scope each login to the companies it can see. The group desk can see all six; an accountant may see one; a manager may see takings but not the property portfolio.
Intercompany entries are written together. Recharges, loans, and management fees can run through server-side functions that write both sides or neither side.
The morning cash sheet can arrive automatically. A scheduled job can assemble balances per entity and a group total, then email the same numbers to the people who need them.
Groups like this rarely match software on a shelf. The entities, walls, and group view are different in every business, which is why describing the shape matters. Every internal tool Kliv builds starts there.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. You describe your group finance workflow, and Kliv builds the app you own.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the entities, ledgers, intercompany workflows, access scopes, dashboards, and exports around your group.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add an entity, change a report, adjust access, or add an intercompany workflow by asking.
Does a sixth company cost extra?
No. An entity is a row in your schema, not a line on Kliv’s invoice. Adding a company is a change to the app.
Can external accountants get access?
Yes. Each accountant’s login can be scoped to the entity they handle, with the rest of the group outside their session.
Can entities have different fiscal years and VAT setups?
Yes. Calendar and tax settings live on the entity record, and reports read the settings for the entity they cover.
How do intercompany entries stay balanced?
They can be posted through one action that writes both sides in the same transaction, tagged as internal for consolidation.
Does this replace statutory accounting software?
That is your choice. Some groups run the operating layer here and export clean per-entity records for statutory filing with accountants.
Can the group view net out internal transactions?
Yes. Internal rows can be tagged so the consolidated view cancels them while still showing balances by entity.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and your data can be exported.
Do I need a separate dashboard tool?
No. The app can include the dashboards and reports it needs, built from the same rows as the ledgers.
