Build an advisor knowledge base with AI
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the advisor knowledge base with AI you need — playbooks, compliance notes, cited answers, roles, and logs — and it builds it for staff.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a generic AI chatbot you sign up for and configure — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the workflow. What you get is a real working app that’s yours. You own it, run it on your own domain or accounts, and keep changing it later by asking. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a staff-only advisor knowledge base grounded in your firm’s own documents. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why the compliance binder cannot keep up
Advisory firms often have the answers already, but they are scattered across binders, documents, notes, and senior staff memory. When a new advisor needs a procedure, the question interrupts someone or becomes a risky guess.
Kliv builds the firm’s shelf into a staff-only app. Playbooks, regulatory notes, custodian quirks, owners, review dates, and question logs live in one place. The agent answers only from that shelf and cites what it used.
What the firm knows on paper
The corpus is made from documents, rules, and a question record.
The playbook shelf
Account opening, transfers, RMD season, and marketing review live as documents with owners and review cadence.
The regulatory notebook
Compliance notes after alerts and exams carry dates and the firm’s own view of what changed and what to do.
The custodian quirk file
Forms, contacts, stalled transfers, and “in good order” details stay in the firm instead of leaving with one employee.
The staff agent
Signed-in staff ask questions. The agent answers from the shelf, declines when the shelf is silent, and attaches sources.
The question ledger
Every exchange is stored as rows the CCO can review. Unanswered questions become the next writing list.
An example: Priya’s advisory firm
Here’s how one firm might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own playbooks, roles, review rules, and compliance boundaries.
The shelf moves into one corpus
Priya uploads ten years of playbooks, memos, regulatory notes, and custodian procedures. Each document becomes searchable when it lands.
The tool is walled to staff
Only signed-in staff can read it. Roles decide who can edit documents, review question logs, or only ask questions.
A new advisor gets a cited answer
A second-year advisor asks how to handle an inherited IRA transfer at a new custodian. The agent answers from the playbook and quirk file and names both sources.
A risk alert updates the shelf
Priya adds a dated note after a risk alert. The next advisor asking about the affected procedure gets the updated answer because the shelf and agent read the same corpus.
Exam questions have records
Months later, an examiner asks when the firm adopted its current gifting procedure. The document history and question ledger show dates and staff usage.
Describe the knowledge base you need
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include document types, roles, source rules, review dates, and logs. Here are three to build on:
Firm playbook agent
Procedures with cited answers.
“Build an internal knowledge base for our fourteen-advisor RIA. Upload account-opening, transfer, RMD, gifting, and marketing-review playbooks. Let staff ask procedure questions, answer only from our documents, cite the exact document page used, decline when the corpus is silent, and log every question for compliance.”
Regulatory note archive
Dated notes and affected procedures.
“Build a regulatory notebook for our compliance officer. Each alert or exam note should have a date, owner, affected procedures, review date, and staff visibility. Advisors can search notes and ask questions, and answers must cite the note or procedure they came from.”
Ops onboarding assistant
New hires ask the firm corpus.
“Build an onboarding tool for new advisors. The first 30 days should assign procedure readings, let new hires ask an agent questions from our own documents, log every unanswered question, and report completion and gaps to the CCO.”
How the corpus stays inside the firm
The agent does not improvise. It answers from uploaded firm documents. If the shelf does not cover a question, it says so and logs the gap.
Roles shape the walls. Associates can read, principals and the CCO can edit, and compliance can review the question ledger. These are database rules on rows.
The shelf tracks staleness. Each playbook has an owner and review date. When a document goes overdue, a scheduled job emails the owner.
An advisor knowledge base is one internal tool. Internal tools on Kliv covers dashboards, approval queues, and other firm-specific systems.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe your advisor knowledge base, and Kliv builds the real staff-only app with documents, roles, cited answers, review dates, and logs.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Your document types, roles, review cadence, answer rules, and question logs shape the knowledge base.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add document categories, change roles, update review rules, or change what the agent is allowed to answer.
Is this a client-facing advice tool?
No. It is an internal staff tool for your firm’s procedures and notes. Clients do not sign in.
What happens when the shelf does not cover a question?
The agent says the corpus is silent and logs the question. Compliance can use that list to decide what to write next.
Does the agent cite sources?
Yes. Answers can include the document or page they came from, so staff can check the source.
Who can read the question ledger?
The roles you choose, typically compliance. Advisors’ exchanges are rows in the firm’s database and can be scoped for supervision.
How do answers stay current?
New and revised documents join the corpus when uploaded, and review dates remind owners when documents need attention.
Can we limit editing rights?
Yes. Staff can have read-only access while principals or the CCO can edit, publish, or review.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The internal app can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
