Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the AP/AR tool you need — vendor bills, approvals, aging buckets, remittance records, roles, and digests — and it builds it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t an accounting suite you sign up for and configure — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the workflow. What you get is a real working application that’s yours. You own it, run it on your own domain or accounts, and keep changing it later by asking. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a custom AP/AR tool for your internal process. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Many companies run payables and receivables through spreadsheets, signature folders, and status memory. That makes the simple question hard: who owes us, whom do we owe, and what needs approval right now?
Kliv builds AP and AR as an internal app. Vendor bills follow approval rules, invoices age through buckets automatically, remittances are recorded against bills, roles limit who sees the books, and scheduled digests give the cash picture on time.
Payables and receivables are records plus rules about who can act on them.
A bill carries vendor, PO, amount, due date, scanned original, and status. It cannot become payable without the approvals your policy requires.
Bills over $2,500 can require the owner, while smaller bills go to the office manager. The threshold is a rule, not a folder on a desk.
Invoices age through 30, 60, and 90 day buckets from their dates. The buckets are computed from data, not updated by hand.
The app records what was paid, when, and against which bill. Reconciling a vendor statement becomes a lookup.
Dispatchers can enter bills without approving them, and technicians do not see financial rows. The books are visible only to the people who need them.
Here’s how one company might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own bills, thresholds, invoice rules, roles, and digest schedule.
Dana’s office enters a compressor supplier bill with PO, amount, due date, and scanned copy attached.
The bill is $3,100, so it crosses the owner threshold. The owner gets a Slack ping, opens the link, and approves from her phone.
At 7:00 Monday, the digest lists bills due this week and receivables aging on the customer side. The office sees the cash picture before work starts.
Money still moves through the bank. The remittance record says what was paid and against which bill, so the bill leaves the active queue.
Payables by vendor, receivables by bucket, and approvals by person are all available without rebuilding a spreadsheet.
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include thresholds, roles, buckets, reminders, and digests. Here are three to build on:
Bills, thresholds, and weekly digests.
“Build an accounts payable tool for our HVAC company. Vendor bills should store vendor, PO, amount, due date, and scanned invoice. Bills over $2,500 require owner approval, bills under $2,500 require office-manager approval, approvers get Slack links, and a Monday 7:00 digest lists bills due this week.”
Buckets, reminders, and balances.
“Build a receivables tracker for our service company. Customer invoices should age through 30, 60, and 90 day buckets, overdue reminders should send at 15 and 30 days past due on our templates, and the owner should see total overdue balance by customer every Monday.”
Completed jobs, invoices, and payment matching.
“Build an internal billing desk where completed HVAC jobs become invoices, payments are matched to those invoices, credits are recorded, and roles keep technicians from reading margins, balances, or customer aging reports.”
Approvals can happen in Slack. Approvers work where they already are, and the click writes the approval row. The audit trail assembles as the work happens.
The digest runs on a schedule. Monday at 7:00, a server-side function gathers due bills and aging receivables and emails them on your template.
It records money; it does not move it. Payments stay in your bank and existing process. The tool enforces approvals, records remittances, and keeps aging true. If you later want online invoice payment, checkout on your own Stripe account can be added.
This is the pattern for internal tools: one team’s exact process, enforced. See internal tools on Kliv.
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the AP/AR tool you need, and Kliv builds the real app with records, approvals, roles, dashboards, and scheduled jobs.
A real app. Your thresholds, roles, buckets, digest schedule, and remittance rules shape the workflow.
Yes. You can change approval thresholds, add a role, adjust aging buckets, or change the digest schedule later.
No. Money still moves through your bank as it does today. The app enforces approvals, records remittances, and keeps the AP/AR records current.
Yes. The threshold is a rule in the app. Past approvals keep their history, and future bills follow the new rule.
Only the roles you define. A technician’s account can receive no bill, invoice, margin, or aging rows at all.
Yes. Overdue invoices can trigger reminder emails on your templates and schedule, with a log of what was sent.
Yes. A scheduled job can email due bills, aging receivables, and exceptions at the time you choose.
Yes. Describe the columns you already track and Kliv can build an importer so existing bills and invoices become rows.
Yes. The internal app can run on your own domain.
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
