Build a contract management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your contract register, and it builds an app for renewal clocks, obligations, amendments, access rules, and search across your contracts.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a fixed contract repository product — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the workflow, the screens, and the access rules. What you get is a real web app that’s yours, available on your own domain for the people you invite, and you can change it later by asking. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is a contract register for renewals, obligations, documents, and search. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own contract register?
Contract problems often have a simple shape: the repository is a shared drive, renewal dates live in someone’s calendar, and an auto-renew clause buys another year because the notice window closed unnoticed. For a company with hundreds of vendor and client agreements, the failure is usually quiet and expensive.
Kliv builds the system that notices. Every agreement becomes a record with dates, obligations, owners, documents, versions, and access rules. Renewal clocks run as scheduled jobs, and the signed corpus can be searched in plain language with source passages from your own contracts.
What the repository knows
Five parts make the register useful.
The contract record
Parties, term, value, owner, and status live in one row per agreement, with signed documents attached. The pile becomes a table you can sort by what expires next.
Renewal clocks and notice windows
Every term and notice period becomes a date the system watches. The 90-day alert fires from a scheduled job.
Obligations
Monthly service reports, insurance certificates, and other duties become obligations with owners and cadence. Completion records who checked them off and when.
Versions and amendments
An amendment supersedes the previous version without deleting it. The record shows which text governed during which period.
The searchable corpus
Signed PDFs join a semantically indexed knowledge base. A question like “which agreements have change-of-control language?” returns passages from your own contracts, not legal advice.
An example: Priya’s facilities-services company
Here’s how one company might use a contract register built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own contract types, alerts, owners, and access rules.
A signed PDF becomes a record
The contract is uploaded, the agreement record is created, and term and notice dates are captured. The dates no longer live only in a calendar.
Obligations get owners
A quarterly insurance certificate becomes an obligation with an owner and cadence. Missing paperwork becomes a dashboard item rather than an audit surprise.
The notice window is flagged early
Ninety days before the window opens, a scheduled job emails the owner and posts to the ops channel with current spend attached.
An amendment updates the story
New rates arrive as amendment two. The old text stays, obligations update, and the contract record shows the history in order.
Renewal is a choice
The team renews because it chose to, at negotiated rates. Spend reporting rolls up by vendor and category for next year’s review.
Describe the contract register you need
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include dates, alerts, obligations, owners, access, and search. Here are three examples:
Vendor contracts
Renewal clocks, owners, alerts, and spend.
“Build a vendor contract register for 300 agreements. Store term, notice window, value, owner, and status; send renewal alerts 90, 60, and 30 days before notice deadlines; track obligations with owners; and report spend by vendor and category.”
Client agreements
Terms tied to account owners.
“Build a client contract tracker with term dates, renewal dates, assigned account owners, department access rules, and an alert when any agreement enters its notice window.”
Lease portfolio
Sites, rent schedules, breaks, and documents.
“Build a lease management app for our 18 sites. Track rent schedules, break clauses, notice deadlines, signed documents, amendments, and reminders 120, 90, and 30 days before each action date.”
How it comes together
Clocks are scheduled jobs. Renewal and notice alerts run as server-side functions on a schedule. They read dates from the records and write to email, Slack, or both. Judgment stays with the owner the alert reaches.
Search understands meaning. Semantic indexing helps with language such as “termination for convenience,” even when the exact phrase varies. Answers return cited passages from your own contracts.
Departments see the right agreements. Sales reads client agreements, operations reads vendor agreements, and finance can see values across both. The boundary is a row-level rule in the database.
A contract register is the internal tool many companies mean to build someday. Kliv’s internal-tools page makes the wider case for building the rest of them: small, exact tools your team actually uses.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For contract management, it builds the repository, alerts, obligations, access rules, and search workflow.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Your contract types, alert intervals, owner rules, departments, documents, and search behavior are built for your company.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Ask for a new obligation type, a different alert interval, or changed department access, and Kliv updates the app.
How do renewal alerts actually work?
Each contract stores its term and notice window as dates. A scheduled job compares them to the calendar and sends alerts at the intervals you choose.
Can we ask questions across all our contracts?
Yes. Signed documents are semantically indexed, so you can ask in plain language and get cited passages back from your own corpus. It retrieves sources; it does not provide legal advice.
Who gets to see what?
Access can be scoped by role and department. An account manager can see their client agreements, operations can see vendor agreements, and finance can see values across both.
What about the contracts we already have?
Upload them in bulk to the file store and work through them as records. The system can surface dates and clauses as you file them.
Can obligations have owners and due dates?
Yes. Each obligation can have an owner, cadence, due date, and completion timestamp.
Can amendments supersede earlier versions?
Yes. New versions can supersede old ones without deleting them, so the register shows which text was active at which time.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain for invited users.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and records and files are exportable.
Can alerts go to Slack?
Yes. The source workflow includes Slack alerts, and those alerts can include the contract owner, notice date, and current spend.
