Build an arts and creative projects platform
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the arts and creative projects platform you want — open calls, portfolio uploads, blind scoring, patrons, project pages, and reports — and it builds it on your own Stripe account.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a grant-management product you configure — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds the database, logic, screens, checkout, files, and access rules. You own the result, run patron payments through your own Stripe account, and can change it later by asking. It isn’t a template application form.
On this page, that app is an arts and creative projects platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this one runs open calls, blind scoring, patron support, funded project pages, and reports.
Why attachments are a poor grant system
An open call can bring applications in many formats: statements, budgets, portfolios, and emails from panelists. That makes the process hard to reconstruct and uneven for artists.
Kliv builds the trust’s own process: a call with firm dates, structured applications with portfolio files, blind scoring, recorded reveal, patron support, public project pages, and final reports.
What the trust keeps on file
A grant program is built from six records.
Open calls
Each call has a theme, budget cap, and dates. Applications are accepted while the call is open, and the form closes at the deadline.
Applications
Artist statement, budget, and portfolio files live on the application record, visible to the office and panel but not other applicants.
Blind scoresheets
Panelists score from their own logins and see only their own scores until the chair opens the reveal.
Patron circle
Monthly gifts at €10 or €25 run on the trust’s own Stripe account, with retries and reminders for failed cards.
Funded project pages
Each funded project gets a public page with studio photos, finished work, and office-approved updates.
Final reports
What was made, what it cost, and who saw it are filed against the grant.
An example: Riya’s community arts trust
Here’s how one trust might use an arts platform built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own calls, scoring rules, patron tiers, and reporting process.
The call opens with clear limits
Riya opens an autumn call for riverside underpass projects with a €2,500 cap and a six-week window. The form enforces the published closing date.
Applications arrive as records
Forty-one artists submit statements, budgets, and portfolio files. The office can search them, and applicants cannot see each other’s files.
Panelists score independently
Five volunteers each score from their own login. They cannot see colleagues’ scores until the chair opens the reveal.
The shortlist uses one ranked list
When the reveal opens, scores merge into a ranked list with each panelist’s numbers on record. The meeting can focus on the work.
The funded project goes public
The treasurer records the grant payment, and the project page goes live with the patron circle credited at the bottom.
The final report feeds the next appeal
Photos, costs, attendance, and notes land on the project page and report record, giving the trust facts for renewal season.
Describe the arts platform you want
Kliv builds from your description, so include call windows, budgets, scoring rules, patron tiers, project pages, and reports. The more detail you give, the closer the first version.
Arts micro-grant trust
Open calls, blind scores, patrons, and project pages.
“Build a micro-grant platform for our arts trust. Run two open calls a year with six-week windows, accept budgets up to €2,500, let five panelists score blind, manage €10 and €25 monthly patron tiers through our own Stripe account, and publish a public page and final report for every funded project.”
Choir commission fund
New works, member shortlists, and public archive.
“Build a platform where our choir commissions new works. Composers apply with PDF scores and recordings, members vote on a shortlist, the board records the final decision, and each premiere gets a public archive page with program notes.”
Zine and print fund
Small grants and quarterly patron bundles.
“Build a local zine fund site. Makers apply with PDFs and print budgets up to €600, two editors approve grants, patrons pay €12 a month, and patrons receive a quarterly bundle list of everything funded.”
What carries the fund
Patron money behaves like membership money. Monthly patron gifts run on the trust’s own Stripe account. Upgrades can prorate, failed cards can retry, and the office sees one list of who gives and what changed.
Blind scoring is structural. Until the chair reveals scores, a panelist’s queries return only that panelist’s rows.
Approval sits between artists and the public. Artists can update project pages, and a moderation queue can hold each update until the office approves it.
Micro-grants are one way to handle other people’s money for public good. The nonprofits page covers the wider nonprofit toolkit.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe your arts platform, and it builds a real app for calls, applications, files, scoring, patrons, project pages, and reports.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Your call windows, scoring rules, patron tiers, approval steps, and project pages are built around your trust.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can change call rules, budget caps, scoring criteria, patron tiers, reports, or page approval rules by asking.
Does Kliv take a percentage of donations?
No. Patron gifts run through your own Stripe account, and card processing is between you and Stripe.
Can panelists really not see each other’s scores?
Yes. Each scoresheet is owned by its panelist until the chair opens the reveal.
What do patrons see?
They can see public project pages, and you can add a patrons-only update stream if you want one. They do not see another patron’s giving history.
Can artists be paid through the platform?
The platform records grants and the money trail. Your treasurer can pay artists the way the trust already pays people.
Can artists update their own project pages?
Yes. Updates can enter a moderation queue before becoming public.
Will funded projects show up in search?
Yes. Public pages are prerendered and readable to crawlers.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The platform can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
