Nonprofit & NGO Management
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the association management software you need — member classes, dues, chapters, committees, directories, conference pricing, and renewals — and it builds it on your own Stripe account.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t a rented AMS with fixed contact records — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds the database, logic, screens, checkout, files, and access rules. You own the result, run dues and registrations through your own Stripe account, and can change it later by asking. It isn’t a template member database.
On this page, that app is association management software. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this one handles member classes, dues, chapters, committees, directories, conference registration, and entitlements.
An association is not just a mailing list with invoices. It may have member classes, chapters, voting rights, committee papers, directories, and a conference whose pricing depends on membership.
Kliv builds the association’s rules into software. The member record becomes the source for dues, vote, directory visibility, library access, chapter authority, and conference pricing.
One member record drives the rest of the association.
Student, associate, fellow, and retired classes can carry different dues, rights, and directory visibility.
Regional chapters can have their own pages, events, and officers, scoped so one chapter cannot edit another.
Memberships renew on July 1. Mid-year joiners prorate to year end, and class changes can re-price at renewal.
Minutes, drafts, and sensitive files live behind committee-only access.
Public and member directory views can show different fields from the same record.
Registration can use member and non-member prices, with capacity enforced at purchase.
Here’s how one association might use software built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own classes, chapters, dues year, rights, and event rules.
On July 1, invoices go out by member class. Failed cards retry and reminder emails follow the schedule Lena’s office sets.
In September, chapter officers publish autumn programs on their own pages without touching central records or other chapters.
The standards committee circulates a draft revision in its workspace. Comments are visible to the committee and no one else.
Members see member prices because checkout reads paid-up membership, not a discount code.
Notice goes to voting classes, papers land in the member library, and quorum comes from the register.
Forty students become associates. Their records change once, and dues, rights, and directory entries follow.
Kliv builds from your description, so include member classes, dues year, chapters, committees, directory rules, events, and rights. The more detail you give, the closer the first version.
Company and individual memberships with reports.
“Build a trade association portal with company and individual memberships, fiscal-year dues renewing July 1, a supplier directory, members-only market reports, and board-only committee papers.”
Regional chapters and central dues.
“Build a member society site with eleven regional chapters that run their own events, central dues collection through our own Stripe account, a directory searchable by specialty and region, and chapter officers scoped to their own chapter.”
CE credits, certificates, and public verification.
“Build a certification body app where members log continuing-education credits, certificates expire and renew every two years, employers can verify a credential by number, and renewal reminders start 90 days before expiry.”
Dues are entitlements. A paid-up fellow gets the library, vote, and member rate automatically. A lapse closes exactly what the bylaws say it closes.
The archive can answer questions. Journals, standards, and minutes can go into a knowledge base. An agent in the member portal can answer from association documents.
Proration is arithmetic. Join in February and pay to June; the invoice can show the calculation, such as fellow dues of €280 becoming €93 for the partial year.
Associations share patterns with nonprofits: dues, donations, members, and small teams. The nonprofits solutions page covers that wider family.
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe your association rules, and it builds a real app for members, dues, chapters, committees, directories, events, and access rights.
A real app. Your member classes, dues year, chapter rules, directory visibility, and event pricing are built around your bylaws.
Yes. You can revise classes, dues, chapter rules, committee access, directory fields, or conference pricing by asking.
Yes. Chapter officers can have authority inside their chapter and none outside it.
Checkout reads the register. The member rate is an entitlement of paid-up membership, not a discount code.
Your grace period runs first, then rights close on the schedule you set. The record and history can remain for a returning member.
Yes. The register can import as rows, including classes and history where available.
No. Members pay by card. Payments run through the association’s own Stripe account.
No. Payments run on your Stripe account. Card processing fees are between you and Stripe.
Yes. Public pages are prerendered and readable to crawlers.
Yes. The association site and member portal can run on your own domain.
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
