Build a custom wealth management and advisory portal
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your wealth management and advisory portal, and it builds household access, statements, decisions, reviews, threads, and fees.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a wealth-management portal product you sign up for and configure. It’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, the logic, the screens, and the workflows. What you get is a real, working app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking for changes, and run it on your own domain and, for advisory invoices, your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a client portal for an advisory practice. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one of them, and that’s what the rest of this page covers.
Why build your own advisory portal?
An advisory firm sells judgment, but the relationship creates a lot of logistics: statement release, review scheduling, household access, invoices, questions, and decision records. Smaller firms often get tools built for custodians or banks, not for the way their own clients work.
Kliv builds the relationship layer. Each household gets its own secure slice of statements, notes, decisions, invoices, and threads. Custody and trading stay where they belong.
A client file worth maintaining
These records keep the firm’s promises organized and scoped to the right household.
Households
A client may be a couple, a trust, or a person with power of attorney. Each login sees only the access granted inside that household.
Statement shelf
Quarterly statements and reports land as files per household, private by default and visible when the firm releases them.
Decision log
Each recommendation can be recorded with date, rationale, and related documents, so clients can reread why a decision was made.
Review cadence
Spring and fall reviews can invite each household to book from one calendar, with agendas built from that household’s records.
Fees
The fee schedule is data. Quarterly invoices can compute from it and run through your own Stripe account for advisory fees.
An example: Marguerite’s advisory firm
Here’s how one firm might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own households, statement release, decision records, review cadence, and fee schedule.
Statements release by household
Marguerite releases quarterlies to 32 household folders. No statement rides an email; each waits behind the household’s own sign-in.
Review season books itself
Every household gets an invitation and picks a slot. Confirmations write back to the firm calendar.
The meeting agenda uses the household record
For the Okonkwo meeting, the agenda includes two decisions since spring, an unsigned beneficiary form, and a question Mrs. Okonkwo left in the portal.
The recommendation keeps its reasoning
A rebalancing recommendation goes into the decision log with date and rationale, so the record says the same thing years later.
Quarter-end fees compute from the schedule
Fees come from the engagement-letter schedule. Invoices go out per household, and reconciliation is a report.
Describe the advisory portal you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include household access, statement release, review scheduling, decision logs, security, and fees. Here are three to build on:
Advisory client portal
Household statements, notes, invoices, and review booking.
“Build a household portal for our advisory firm. Each family should see only its own released statements, meeting notes, decision log, and invoices, and reviews should book from one shared calendar.”
Multi-advisor practice
Advisor ownership, quarterly publishing, and dated recommendations.
“Build a practice app for three advisors. Every household belongs to one advisor, statements publish quarterly, and every recommendation is logged with date, rationale, related documents, and the advisor who made it.”
Family-office portal
Granular access across generations.
“Build a portal for our family office. Three generations should each see only the slice they were granted, documents should carry per-person access, and quarterly reviews should book from one calendar.”
What the portal does and does not do
Households are access boundaries. One family’s login has no path to another family’s records. Inside a household, access can be finer: a daughter with power of attorney can see what she was granted.
Client questions can live on the household record instead of a personal inbox, so the right advisor or operations person can answer and keep the exchange with the file.
Passkeys and two-factor sign-in can protect client logins. Custody and trading stay at your custodian; the portal handles documents, decisions, meetings, questions, and advisory invoices. Advisory is a services business, and the services page covers the broader pattern.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. You tell it what you need, it builds the app, and you own the result. For this page, that means an advisory portal with household access, released statements, decision logs, review booking, client threads, and advisory invoices.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the database, the logic, and the screens for your specific case. It is not a pre-made theme you fill in.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You ask for changes in plain words and Kliv updates the app, without starting over.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain and go live as soon as you build it.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
Does Kliv take a cut of payments?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Stripe’s card-processing fees are between you and Stripe.
Do my customers need their own Stripe accounts?
No. Your customers pay by card. Stripe is how money reaches your account; they do not need to manage Stripe.
Does the portal hold or move client money?
No. Custody and trading stay at your custodian. The only money described here is your advisory invoice, which can run through your Stripe account.
What do clients see?
They see what the firm has released to their household: statements, decision records, invoices, notes, and threads. Drafts and internal notes stay internal.
Why keep a decision log?
A dated recommendation with its reasoning helps clients and the firm see why a choice was made, even years later.
Can access differ inside one household?
Yes. A spouse, trustee, or person with power of attorney can receive only the access you grant.
Can clients book reviews from the portal?
Yes. You can send review invitations and let households book from the firm calendar.
Can the portal require stronger sign-in?
Yes. Passkeys and two-factor sign-in can be used for client accounts.
Is this too much for a small firm?
It can start small. You can begin with statements and scheduling, then add decision logs, threads, and fee calculations when they are useful.
