Build a songwriter catalog manager
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your songwriter catalog, and it builds song records, versioned demos, searchable lyrics, split sheets, co-writer access, and pitch logs.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a music library template — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: records, file storage, search, permissions, and workflows. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can run it on your own domain, connect it to your own accounts, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a generic database you shape yourself.
On this page, that app is a songwriter catalog manager. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; private creator tools are one example.
Why a catalog needs one place to answer from
A songwriter’s catalog can be spread across hard drives, old laptops, voice memos, and folders whose names made sense years ago. Pitches, cuts, renewals, split questions, and co-writer access all depend on work already written.
Kliv builds the catalog as one app: one record per song, dated versions, searchable lyrics, split sheets attached to the song, and access rules for each co-writer.
Lyrics, takes, and splits: one song’s file
Each song is a record that holds what the business needs later.
The song record
Title, key, tempo, theme tags, and status such as demo, pitched, cut, or released. Hundreds of these records make the catalog.
Versions on one spine
A 2011 voice memo and a 2019 recut can belong to the same song. Every take is dated, and a new version does not overwrite an old one.
The lyric sheet
Lyric drafts stay with the song and can be searched by fragment or theme. A cut bridge is still findable later.
Split sheets and shares
Ownership percentages and signed sheets attach to the song. The ownership question is answered before a pitch goes out.
Co-writer walls
A co-writer login opens only the songs shared with that person. The rule applies to audio, lyrics, and splits.
The pitch log
The catalog can record which supervisor heard which songs, when, and what came back.
An example: Wren’s songwriting catalog
Here’s how one songwriter might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own catalog, collaborators, and search needs.
Old files become song records
Wren starts with six hard drives and years of demos. Files land on song records with dates kept, including mislabeled sessions.
Every take stays with the song
Voice memo, kitchen demo, and studio recut line up as versions of one song.
A co-writer sees only shared songs
Marek gets a login that opens the fourteen songs he wrote with Wren and the split sheets for those songs.
Search finds the idea, not the folder
Lyric sheets and theme tags feed search, so “the one about the lighthouse” becomes a query.
A short-deadline brief gets answered
A supervisor asks for mid-tempo, leaving home, female vocal, under three minutes. Wren finds three candidates and the splits are already attached.
The pitch is logged for next time
The pitch lands on all three song records. When the show returns, who heard what is a lookup.
Describe the catalog you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include songs, versions, lyrics, collaborators, splits, and pitch tracking. Here are three to build on:
Song catalog
One record per song, with dated versions.
“Build a private song catalog where each song has title, key, tempo, theme tags, status, and dated versions from voice memo to master, with nothing ever overwritten.”
Search by lyric and theme
Find songs by fragment or feeling.
“Add search to my song catalog so I can find songs by title, lyric fragment, theme tags, tempo range, vocal type, and status, even when I do not remember the filename.”
Co-writer access
Shared songs, splits, and nothing else.
“Give each of my co-writers a login that opens only the songs we share, including audio versions, lyric sheets, pitch history, and the signed split sheet attached to every shared song.”
How the catalog remembers
The song record holds the files. Every take is a dated file on the song, private by default. Sharing a song can share its takes, lyrics, and paperwork together.
Access is granted per song. A co-writer’s access is a record naming the person and the song. Removing access leaves catalog history intact.
Paperwork answers before the pitch. When a placement lands, the split sheet on the song already states who owns what percentage.
A catalog is one part of a creator business. Kliv for creators covers audiences, patrons, and releases; this page focuses on the catalog.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the songwriter catalog you need, it builds the working app, and you own the result.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds records, rules, screens, workflows, and permissions for your specific case.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Ask for changes in plain words. Kliv updates the app without making you start over.
Who can hear the demos?
Only the people each song grants access to. The rule can cover audio, lyrics, and split sheets together.
What happens when a co-write goes sour?
You remove the access grant. The song, its versions, and its history stay in the catalog.
Does Kliv charge per song or per co-writer?
No. Kliv is a subscription to build and run apps; the catalog’s size is your asset, not a per-song bill.
Can it find a song from half a lyric?
Yes. Search can read lyric sheets and theme tags, so a fragment or described theme can return candidates.
Can split sheets live with each song?
Yes. Ownership percentages and signed files can attach directly to the song record.
Can I track pitches to supervisors?
Yes. Each pitch can record the songs sent, recipient, date, notes, and response.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The catalog can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
