What is Kliv?

Kliv isn’t a generic store template you sign up for and configure — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.

You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the workflows. You own the result, run it on your own accounts, including your own Stripe account, and change it later by asking for changes. It isn’t a template with your name on it.

On this page, that app is an online store. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.

Why build your own online store?

Many stores need rules that go beyond a basic cart: limited batches, bundles, subscription clubs, early access, launch windows, promo codes, stock commitments, fulfillment lists, and tax reports. Those rules often end up split across plugins and spreadsheets.

Kliv builds the store as one app. The catalog, batch counts, subscription club, checkout, orders, and reports read the same records, so the store agrees with itself.

What the store keeps

A store is a set of promises about counts, prices, and dates.

Catalog

Single products, bundles, subscriptions, free gifts, and timed prices can live in one catalog and use the same checkout.

Batches and counts

A limited batch can stop selling when it reaches zero. Bottle 401 is refused because there is no bottle 401 to buy.

Subscription club

Subscribers can be charged and shipped on schedule, change cards, skip or pause if you allow it, and recover from failed payments.

Drops and price windows

Launch pricing can start and end on set dates. The catalog enforces the window you announce.

Orders and fulfillment

Orders carry items, address, and shipping status. Pick lists and pack sheets come from live order records.

Tax reports

Tax can be calculated at checkout for the jurisdictions you register, with reports ready for filing.

An example: Lena’s hot sauce label

Here’s how one maker might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own products, batches, subscriptions, launch rules, and tax setup.

01

She rehearses the drop first

On Thursday, Lena runs the launch on test payments: price window, subscriber reservations, sellout, and one refund.

02

Launch pricing opens on time

At Friday 10:00, the launch price goes live because the catalog window starts. No one has to toggle prices during the mailing-list rush.

03

Subscribers reserve their bottles

The club charges before public sale and reserves subscriber bottles from the 400-bottle batch.

04

The store stops at the batch count

When bottle 400 sells, the product stops selling. There is no oversell to refund on Monday.

05

Fulfillment reads live orders

The drop weekend pick list is generated from current order records and shipping statuses.

06

The next launch uses evidence

Revenue by channel and conversion data show which audience worked best, so the next drop starts with numbers.

Describe the online store you want

Kliv builds from your description, so include products, prices, stock rules, subscriptions, launches, fulfillment, and tax. Here are three examples:

kliv.dev

Small-batch drops

Limited batches, launch windows, and a club.

“Build an online store for our hot sauce label. Sell single bottles for $12, three-packs for $30, and a quarterly subscription club for $36 per release. Reserve subscriber bottles first, open launch pricing Friday at 10:00, end it Sunday at midnight, and stop each 400-bottle batch at zero.”

kliv.dev

One-product store

Bottles, bundles, and subscribe-and-save.

“Build a one-product store for our olive oil. Sell one bottle for $24, a two-bottle bundle for $44, gift notes at checkout, and a subscribe-and-save plan every eight weeks at $21 per bottle. Let customers skip a shipment and update cards themselves.”

kliv.dev

Limited-edition prints

Fixed editions with visible counts.

“Build an online store for limited-edition art prints. Each edition has 100 signed prints, buyers see how many remain, sold-out editions stay visible as an archive, and checkout collects shipping address, tax, and gift note.”

How it comes together

Checkout runs on your own Stripe account. Customers, payments, and payouts are yours, and Kliv does not price your store per customer.

Subscription access can mean more than shipment. If club members get early access to drops, their subscription can open that window and close it for everyone else.

Product pages can be read. Pages can be prerendered for search engines and AI assistants, with a sitemap that updates as products change.

A store is where direct-to-consumer starts. The direct-to-consumer solutions page covers the bigger picture.

Common questions

What exactly is Kliv?

Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe your online store, and it builds a real app for catalog, checkout, orders, subscriptions, fulfillment, and reports.

Do I get a real app, or a template?

A real app. Products, batches, prices, orders, subscriptions, tax, and fulfillment are structured records.

Can I change it after it’s built?

Yes. You can ask for new products, changed prices, new stock rules, subscription changes, or new reports later.

What stops a limited batch from overselling?

The count lives in the database. When it reaches zero, checkout refuses the next purchase.

Can one store sell one-time products and subscriptions together?

Yes. One-time products, bundles, and subscriptions can all live in the same catalog and checkout.

Do I need Stripe set up before I can start?

No. You can rehearse the store on test payments first, then connect your own Stripe account when you are ready for real orders.

What about sales tax?

Register where you owe tax, and checkout can calculate it and produce reports. B2B buyers can add tax IDs if that applies.

Do customers need their own Stripe accounts?

No. Customers pay by card. Stripe processes payments into your account.

Does Kliv take a cut of orders?

No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Card processing fees are between you and Stripe.

Will the store show up in search?

Yes. Product pages can be prerendered and served with a sitemap so crawlers can read them.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. The store can run on your own domain.

Can I move off Kliv later?

Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
