Build a manufacturing and production management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the manufacturing and production management system you need — the records, screens, rules, notifications, privacy, and edge cases — and it builds the app around them.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a manufacturing and production management system product you configure — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe what you need in plain words, and Kliv builds the real app: the data, the logic, the screens, and the admin tools. You own it, run it on your own accounts, and change it later by asking for changes. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is manufacturing and production management system. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own manufacturing and production management system?
A manufacturing and production management system has details a generic product often misses. This kind of app includes concrete records, schedules, permissions, privacy boundaries, approvals, and edge cases that matter in daily work.
Kliv builds around those details. You describe the workflow in plain language, and the app keeps the records and rules in one place instead of spreading them across templates, spreadsheets, and manual follow-up.
The traveler, digitized
The app is built from records with clear rules. These are the main pieces the app can keep.
Work orders
Every job carries its drawing revision, material spec, quantity, and promised date. The traveler is the record itself — each station stamps time in and time out.
Material lots & heat numbers
Sheet stock arrives as lots with mill certificates attached as files. “Which jobs used heat 7Q443?” is a query, answered in seconds, years later.
Stations & queues
Laser, brake, weld, powder — each station’s tablet shows its own queue in order, drawing attached. Operators see their station; the office sees the floor.
QC holds
A failed check parks the order where it stands. It cannot advance to the next station while held — that’s a rule in the workflow, not a hope.
Promise dates
What sales may promise is read from station capacity, not optimism. The schedule and the quote draw on the same numbers, so they stop contradicting each other.
Drawings & revisions
The order links revision C explicitly, so nobody nests revision B again. When a drawing changes mid-job, every in-progress order that references it gets flagged.
An example: Elena’s sheet-metal shop
Here’s how one business might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own stations, materials, quality checks, and reports.
Revision C, 2mm cold-rolled, promised in three
Revision C, 2mm cold-rolled, promised in three weeks, invoiced on completion the way the shop has always worked. The promise date came from the capacity board, not a hunch.
Heat 7Q443 is committed to the order,
Heat 7Q443 is committed to the order, its mill certificate already attached to the lot record. Traceability begins before the first cut.
4471 appears on the nest operator’s tablet
4471 appears on the nest operator’s tablet with the drawing one tap away. Stamp in, cut, stamp out — the office watches progress without walking the floor.
Each stamp advances the record
Each stamp advances the record. When the customer calls asking where things stand, the answer comes from the screen, not from shouting across the shop.
Three brackets measure out of tolerance
Three brackets measure out of tolerance. The order parks; powder cannot pull it while the hold stands; the rework is logged with a reason that will feed next month’s numbers.
Packing list from the order, invoice issued
Packing list from the order, invoice issued on completion, and the on-time dashboard ticks up. 4471 is now history the shop can actually learn from.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include amounts where relevant, names, dates, roles, approval rules, privacy rules, notifications, and edge cases.
Fab shop travelers
Stations, stamps, holds, and heat numbers.
“Build a production management system for our sheet-metal shop where every work order carries its drawing revision and material heat number, each station stamps work in and out on a tablet, and QC holds block an order from advancing. Include exact amounts where relevant, roles, terms, approval steps, notifications, privacy rules, and edge cases for the first version.”
Small-batch food runs
Recipes to lot-traced shipped cases.
“Build a production system for our hot-sauce plant that plans batches from recipes, tracks lot numbers from ingredient delivery to shipped case for recall readiness, and schedules bottling runs by tank availability. Include exact amounts where relevant, roles, terms, approval steps, notifications, privacy rules, and edge cases for the first version.”
Make-to-order joinery
Commissions through cutting, assembly, finishing.
“Build a production tracker for our joinery where each commission moves through cutting, assembly, and finishing, photos are attached at every stage, and the customer gets an emailed progress update at each milestone. Include exact amounts where relevant, roles, terms, approval steps, notifications, privacy rules, and edge cases for the first version.”
The system behind the schedule
Numbers the morning meeting can stand on. Throughput per station, on-time rate, rework by cause — dashboards computed from the shop’s own rows, so the Monday huddle and the month-end review finally read the same reality.
The shop changes; the schema keeps up. When the new powder line arrives, it becomes a station by saying so — the database migration happens in conversation, and the queues, stamps, and reports already know about it the same day.
The manuals learn to answer. Feed the machine documentation and years of job notes into the app’s knowledge layer, and the Saturday-shift operator can ask which tooling the brake takes for 3mm stainless — and get the shop’s answer, not a forum’s.
A production system is an internal tool with grease on it; the wider family it belongs to — trackers, dashboards, intake tools — is laid out on the internal-tools page.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the manufacturing and production management system you need, and it builds a real app with the data, screens, and rules for your case.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds it around your specific workflow, not as a theme you fill in.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Ask for changes in plain words, and Kliv updates the app without making you start over.
Do I need a separate CMS or tool?
No. The app is its own admin for the records, text, and workflows you describe.
Will pages show up in search?
Yes. Kliv pages are built as readable pages for crawlers and AI assistants.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. Kliv apps can sync code to your own Git repository, so leaving is a code pull rather than a rebuild.
Does this need to handle payments at all?
Not unless you want it to. This shop quotes, builds, and invoices on completion — the system manages production, and invoicing rides on the same records. A shop that later sells standard parts from stock can add a paid-in-full checkout to the same database.
Our operators are not software people. Will they use it?
The station view is one screen: your queue, in order, drawing attached, one tap to stamp. It was described in the shop’s own words, and when the floor wants it changed, it changes by describing the change.
Can it handle a customer audit or a recall?
That’s what the lot records are for: heat numbers and material certificates link to every order they touched, so “show me everything shipped from this lot” is a query with a printable answer, not an afternoon in the filing cabinet.
What happens when a drawing changes mid-job?
The new revision is uploaded to the part; every open work order referencing the old one is flagged for review; and the traveler keeps a record of which revision each station actually worked to. The answer to “who cut the old version?” exists.
