Build an ERP shaped like your operation
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your enterprise resource planning (ERP) workflow, and it builds a real app for bills of materials, purchase orders, work orders, stock, invoices, and margins on your own domain.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a suite with dozens of modules — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the tables, business logic, screens, imports, reports, permissions, and scheduled jobs. You own the result, run it on your own domain, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a fixed ERP package.
On this page, that app is an ERP for a small operation. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own ERP?
A small workshop may not need 40 modules and a long consultant project. It needs the records that actually run the business: product designs, bills of materials, purchase orders, work orders, stock, and invoices.
Kliv builds those records as a working system. The bill of materials knows what a table costs to build, the purchase order updates stock, the floor checks off station work, and the margin report reads what actually happened.
What the system knows
The workshop’s core tables, with the rules attached.
Designs and bills of materials
Each table design lists its lumber, hardware, finish, and bench hours. Quote, cost, and margin are computed from the same list the floor builds from.
Purchase orders and suppliers
A purchase order carries supplier, quantities, and delivery window. Goods-in updates stock when the truck is unloaded, not at month-end.
Work orders and stations
A confirmed order creates work orders for mill, joinery, and finishing. Each station checks off the work where it happens.
Stock in two places
The lumber yard and finishing shop are separate locations. Reservations for confirmed orders are subtracted before anyone promises a delivery date.
Invoices and margin
Delivery raises the invoice from the order record, and the margin report reads actual hours and actual materials.
An example: Jonas’s furniture workshop
Here’s how one workshop might use an ERP built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own products, materials, stations, stock locations, invoices, and reports.
The order is checked before it is promised
Order 231 is an eight-seat oak table. The delivery window is checked against reserved lumber, so the promise starts from stock, not hope.
The bill of materials finds the shortage
The order expands into materials and hours. The system sees white oak is 11 boards short and drafts the purchase order.
Goods-in unlocks floor work
Tuesday’s truck is unloaded and counted. Stock rises, and order 231’s mill-station work order unlocks.
Each station checks off its work
Mill, joinery, and finishing each mark their work on the shop tablet. “Where is order 231?” becomes a status view instead of a walk across the floor.
Delivery raises the invoice
The finishing lead signs the final checkoff, delivery is booked, and the invoice is raised from the order record without retyping.
Margin uses actual work
Actual hours and materials post against the estimate. The eight-seat table ran four bench hours over, so the next price discussion starts from data.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Name your products, materials, stations, stock locations, order flow, invoices, and reports. Here are three to build on:
Workshop production ERP
Bills of materials, work orders, stock, and delivery invoices.
“Build an ERP for our 12-person furniture workshop. Track table designs and bills of materials with lumber, hardware, finish, and bench hours. Create purchase orders that update stock on goods-in, generate work orders per station, reserve materials before delivery promises, and raise invoices on delivery.”
Food producer batches
Recipes, batch numbers, expiry dates, and stock.
“Build a production system for our jam kitchen. Store recipes as bills of materials, create numbered batches with production date and expiry date, track ingredient stock and finished jars, and report which batches used each supplier lot.”
Assembly and installation
Kits, site jobs, crews, and van stock.
“Build an operations system for our sign company. Kit materials per job, schedule installation crews, track van stock separately from warehouse stock, and mark each site job ready only when the kit is complete.”
How it comes together
The schema grows with the business. When the workshop adds a veneer line, the database can change through conversation: new tables, new fields, and preserved data.
Monday morning can know the numbers. A scheduled job can send stock below reorder points, work orders stalled more than two days, and invoices past due before the first coffee.
The agent can answer from the rows. With quotes, orders, and outcomes in your database, the app can answer what you charged for the last 10-seat walnut table and whether it made money.
You can experiment and restore. Snapshots save the working system before a change, so you can revise a work-order flow and restore if the floor hates it.
An ERP that fits is several internal tools agreeing with each other. The internal-tools solutions page shows that family whole.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the ERP you need, it builds the app, and you own the result.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds records, screens, business logic, scheduled jobs, reports, and access rules for your operation.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Add a station, stock location, field, report, or approval step by asking in plain words.
We are 12 people. Is an ERP overkill?
A large suite may be overkill. The core records are not. If stock, orders, and invoices already live in spreadsheets and memory, building them as software helps them agree.
How long does something like this take?
A working first version can exist the same day you describe the flow. From there you refine in conversation: real purchase orders, real work orders, one station at a time.
Can the floor use it with gloves on?
Yes. The interface is yours to shape, including large checkoff buttons on a shop tablet, station by station.
What about data already in spreadsheets?
You can import it. Products, suppliers, stock, and open orders become rows in your own database.
Who sees purchase prices and margins?
Whoever your rule names. Costs and margins can be owner-only while the floor sees work orders and stock.
Can it reserve stock before promising delivery?
Yes. Reservations for confirmed orders can be subtracted before a delivery date is promised.
Can invoices be raised on delivery?
Yes. The invoice can be created from the order record when delivery is signed off.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app runs on your own domain and can go live as soon as you build it.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s code syncs both ways with a Git repository you own, and your data is exportable.
