Build a language and translation platform

Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your translation workflow — intake, job states, termbases, stamp registers, quotes, portals, and archive search — and it builds the platform.

    What is Kliv?

Kliv isn’t a translation tool you subscribe to — it’s an AI that builds software for you.

You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the database, the job states, the client portals, the files, the quote logic, and the search. What you get is a real web app that’s yours, on your own domain, and you can change it later by asking. It isn’t a template.

On this page, that app is a language and translation platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this one manages translation jobs, termbases, stamp records, quotes, invoices, and delivered work.

Why a translation studio needs its own record

A delivered translation contains decisions: how a term crossed languages, which wording a client approved, which documents carried a sworn stamp, and which authority needed it. Stored in folders, those decisions get re-argued.

Kliv builds the studio around the archive: jobs that move through states, termbases per client, an agent that answers from delivered work, and billing that matches the source count.

    Five records run the studio

These are the trade’s working objects, with rules attached.

    Jobs and states

Intake, quoted, in translation, revision, sworn stamp, and delivered are states the client portal can show accurately.

    Termbases per client

Approved terms live on the client’s rows with who approved them and when. One client’s vocabulary is separate from another’s.

    The delivered archive

Every delivered translation is filed by client, language pair, and domain so it can be searched and asked about later.

    The stamp register

Which documents carried the sworn stamp, for which authority, and at what fee are recorded for later review.

    Quotes and invoices

Per-word rates by domain and pair calculate the quote. The accepted quote becomes the invoice, so the two do not drift apart.

An example: Vesna’s sworn translation studio

Here’s how one studio might use a language and translation platform built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own language pairs, job states, rates, stamps, portals, and archive rules.

    01

    A certified document arrives safely

A nursing diploma arrives through the intake form and lands in the file store, visible only to the client and the studio. The source word count happens on arrival.

    02

The quote is calculated from the count

The certified-document rate is €0.16 per word, plus the €67 stamp. The client accepts from the portal, and the job states begin.

    03

Revision is part of the record

Rok’s revision pass has its own state and timestamp. The client watches progress in the portal instead of calling to ask.

    04

    The stamp is registered

The sworn stamp goes on, the register records authority and date, and the certified scan is delivered from the portal.

    05

    The archive gains a precedent

The delivered pair is filed with client, domain, language pair, and term decisions, ready to guide future work for the right client.

Describe the translation platform you want to build

Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Say which language pairs you handle, how jobs move, how rates work, what clients see, and how delivered work should be searched. Here are three to build on:

    kliv.dev

    Sworn translation desk

Certified documents, stamps, per-word quotes, and portals.

“Build a system for my sworn Slovene–German translation practice. Jobs should move from intake to quoted, translation, revision, sworn stamp, and delivered. Add a stamp register by authority, quote €0.16 per source word plus a €67 stamp fee when needed, and give each client a private portal for files, quotes, and delivery.”

    kliv.dev

    Agency with reviewers

Translator and reviewer states with client termbases.

“Build a translation agency platform where each job moves through assigned translator, reviewer, client review, and delivered states. Each client should have its own termbase, approved word counts should generate invoices, and client organizations should see only their own jobs and files.”

    kliv.dev

    Subtitling pipeline

Episodes through timing, translation, and QC.

“Build a subtitling workflow manager where episodes move through timing, translation, QC, client review, and delivered states. Each studio should see its own seasons, files, due dates, and delivery status without emailing us for updates.”

    Precedent, payment, and proof

The archive has client-shaped walls. The same term can have different correct renderings for different clients. The agent reads termbases and delivered work through the open job’s scope, so each precedent stays as narrow as the client relationship that created it.

Money follows the count. Rates live as catalog data by pair and domain. The source count creates the quote, acceptance freezes it, and delivery turns it into an invoice on the studio’s own Stripe account. The €67 stamp can be a line item the register also records.

Clients watch the state, not your inbox. Each organization’s portal shows its own jobs and files and nothing else. The “is it done?” email has a clear answer on the page.

AI can produce translation-shaped text, but a studio is judged by review, precedent, scope, and accountability. Apps built around AI covers that wider pattern.

    Common questions

    What exactly is Kliv?

Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For a translation studio, it can build job states, portals, termbases, stamp registers, quotes, invoices, and archive search.

Do I get a real app, or a template?

A real app. Kliv builds the database, workflows, client walls, and screens around your studio’s process.

Can I change it after it’s built?

Yes. You can add a state, change rates, add a language pair, adjust portal fields, or add a new report later.

    Does Kliv translate the documents?

No. Your translators do the translation with the tools they trust. Kliv builds intake, states, termbases, stamp records, billing, portals, and archive search around that work.

    What can the agent answer?

It can answer from the archive and termbases it is allowed to read: approved terms, past renderings, client preferences, and delivered work, with the source attached.

    How separate are client termbases?

Structurally separate. Each client’s jobs, files, and terms are scoped to that organization.

How do per-word quotes become invoices?

The counted source creates the quote. Acceptance freezes it. Delivery turns the same record into an invoice.

    Can clients upload files privately?

Yes. Each client organization gets a private portal for its own files, quotes, jobs, and deliveries.

    Can sworn stamps be tracked?

Yes. The stamp register can record document, authority, date, and fee.

Do my clients need Stripe accounts?

No. Clients just pay by card if you take payment online. Payments run through your own Stripe account.

Do I need a separate CMS?

No. The app is its own admin for jobs, terms, rates, documents, portal text, and pages.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. The platform can run on your own domain.
