Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the architecture firm detail library you need — details, revisions, publish gates, search, files, and Slack updates — and it builds it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t a document-management product with fixed folders — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds the database, screens, files, search, integrations, and access rules. You own the result and can change it later by asking. It isn’t a file tree with a nicer skin.
On this page, that app is an architecture firm detail library. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this one keeps standard details current, searchable, versioned, and announced to the team.
A folder tree can store files, but it cannot reliably answer which detail is current, what changed since the last issue, or who approved the revision. That is how a stale flashing detail ends up in a set.
Kliv builds the library around those questions. Details are records with revision history, tags, files, publish states, and usage history. The rules match your office standards instead of a vendor’s document categories.
Five records make the library trustworthy.
Number, title, discipline, current revision, PDF, and DWG ride the same record, so the drawing and sheet stay connected.
Each revision keeps date, author, and notes on what changed. Superseded revisions stay readable and stamped.
Tags such as brick veneer, parapet, below-grade, material, and exposure let architects search the way they think.
Drafts are visible to the drafting group until a principal publishes them. The gate is a row rule, not a naming convention.
Projects that pull a detail are recorded, so when Rev C lands you can list live jobs still using Rev B.
Here’s how one firm might use a detail library built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own disciplines, tags, revision rules, file types, and publish process.
Claire’s associate uploads Rev A of a window-head flashing detail as PDF and DWG, with assembly tags. Only the drafting group can see it.
After review, a principal publishes the detail. The whole firm can see it, and #standards in Slack gets the number, title, and approver.
Two months later, a drafter searches for “window head at brick veneer with a steel lintel.” The library searches the detail text and tags, not just filenames.
Someone asks which flashing details apply to a parapet under a green roof. The assistant answers from the firm’s details and general notes, citing detail numbers.
Rev B uploads with notes on the change. Slack announces it, Rev A is stamped superseded, and default search now returns Rev B.
Kliv builds from your description, so include file types, revision letters, tags, publish rights, search behavior, and notifications. The more detail you give, the closer the first version.
Flashings, copings, transitions, and revision letters.
“Build a detail library for our firm’s envelope details. Store PDF and DWG files, give each detail a revision letter, tag details by assembly and exposure, let only principals publish, and post to #standards in Slack when a detail is published or superseded.”
One library with publish rights per office.
“Build a standards library shared by our Portland and Seattle offices. Drafters in either office can draft, only the standards committee can publish, each detail shows which office authored it, and search can filter by office, discipline, and assembly.”
Sheets and master specs under one history.
“Build an internal library for standard details and master spec sections. Keep revision history and changelogs for both, attach PDF, DWG, and DOCX files, and let the team search by describing the building condition.”
Search reads the records. Published detail titles, notes, and tags are indexed so people can search for the building condition, not a guessed filename. The same index can feed the assistant.
Files have their own rules. PDFs, DWGs, and Revit families live in the file store. Drafts can stay inside the drafting group, published details open firm-wide, and consultants see only what you share.
Slack announces changes. Publish or supersede a detail and #standards can receive the revision note. The connection credential is held by the platform, not pasted into code.
History belongs to the firm. Revisions are rows in your database, and the app’s source syncs to your Git repository.
A detail library is often the first internal tool a firm builds. Timesheets, go/no-go checklists, and CA logs follow the same pattern at tools teams build for themselves.
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe your detail library, and it builds a real app for details, files, revisions, search, publishing, Slack notices, and access rules.
A real app. Your disciplines, tags, file types, publish gates, revision states, and permissions are built around your firm.
Yes. You can add tags, file types, publish roles, search fields, or notification rules by asking.
It can hold any file type. The PDF, DWG, or family can ride the same detail record.
They stay readable, stamped as superseded, and excluded from default search unless someone asks for older revisions.
You set that rule. For example, drafters can draft and a principal or standards committee can publish.
Only what you share. File access can be set per person or firm, so the rest of the library is not visible.
Yes. Details can be tagged and indexed so searches like “brick veneer parapet” find the relevant records.
Yes. Publishing or superseding a detail can post to the Slack channel you choose.
Yes. The internal library can run on your own domain.
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
