Build a hospitality management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your hospitality management system: rooms, housekeeping, maintenance tickets, breakfast counts, staff roles, handbook answers, vouchers, and extras.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t property-management software you subscribe to and configure. It’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, the permissions, and the workflows. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can run it on your own accounts, change it later by asking, and use your own Stripe account if you sell vouchers or extras. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is a small-property operations system for rooms, staff, maintenance, breakfast, handbook answers, and small sales. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one hospitality example.
Why an inn should build its own
Property-management systems are often priced and shaped for larger properties. At a 14-room inn, the hard part may not be the booking engine. It may be the daily work: which rooms turn over, who is on shift, what broke overnight, and how many breakfasts the kitchen should prepare.
Kliv builds that operational layer around your actual building, including room quirks, staff roles, maintenance history, and the handbook knowledge seasonal staff need.
The inn’s working memory
The front desk, kitchen, and housekeeping team all work from the same records.
Rooms and their states
Each room has today’s status: departing, staying over, or ready. Room notes can store details such as a sticky balcony door or the extra-firm mattress in room 12.
The breakfast count
Tomorrow’s breakfast number, including dietary notes, is computed from the guest list and available to the kitchen early in the morning.
Maintenance tickets
A radiator issue becomes a ticket with a photo, priority, and owner. Repeated issues become a visible pattern with dates.
Shifts and the team
Staff are tracked by role. Housekeeping sees rooms and tasks, the kitchen sees counts and notes, and managers see the whole operation.
The handbook assistant
Staff can ask about late checkout, dog rules, or where spare linens are kept. The answer comes from the handbook you uploaded and cites the source.
Vouchers and extras
Gift vouchers can be sold as one-time purchases on the inn’s own Stripe account. Each voucher is a code with a balance the front desk redeems at check-in.
An example: Elin’s 14-room inn
Here’s how one inn might use a hospitality system built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own rooms, staff, sales, and guest routines.
The kitchen starts with the right count
At 06:30, Elin’s kitchen tablet shows 19 breakfasts and two gluten-free notes, assembled overnight from the guest list.
Housekeeping works from the live board
Four departures and three stay-overs appear on the board. Staff update rooms from phones, and the front desk sees rooms become ready.
A repeated fault becomes visible
Room 7’s radiator gets its fifth winter ticket, with a photo attached. The log makes the pattern clear enough to price a replacement.
An early arrival gets a real answer
A couple arrives two hours early. The desk can see which rooms are already inspected and hands over a key instead of guessing.
A new hire gets the handbook answer
The new hire asks whether dogs are allowed in the annex. The assistant quotes the pet policy with the page and paragraph.
The next shift gets the night note
At 22:00, a digest sends tomorrow’s arrivals, open tickets, and the next breakfast count to the morning shift.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so include the rooms, roles, recurring tasks, sales, and reports that matter. Here are three examples:
Inn operations board
Housekeeping, tickets, and nightly digest.
“Build an operations app for my 12-room inn. Include a housekeeping board, maintenance tickets with photos and priority, a nightly digest email with tomorrow’s arrivals and breakfast count, and staff roles for housekeeping, kitchen, and manager.”
Guesthouse voucher shop
Codes with balances, redeemed at check-in.
“Build a gift-voucher store for my guesthouse. Sell $75 and $150 vouchers online through my own Stripe account, create a unique code with a remaining balance for each purchase, and let the front desk redeem the balance at check-in.”
Hostel staff hub
Shifts, dorm checklists, and a manual that answers.
“Build a staff hub for my 32-bed hostel. Include shift schedules, a cleaning checklist per dorm, maintenance tickets with photos, and an assistant that answers staff questions from our operations manual with citations.”
How it comes together
Each role’s view is enforced. Housekeeping accounts see rooms and tasks. The kitchen sees counts and dietary notes. Staff phones do not show guest payment details unless you give that role access.
The handbook becomes usable. Upload the manual, policies, and local notes. Kliv indexes them so the assistant can answer from the material you wrote and store transcripts of what staff asked.
Small sales use the same commerce engine. Vouchers at $75 and $150 can be catalog products on the inn’s own Stripe account. Late-checkout fees, picnic hampers, and bike rentals can run through the same checkout.
Digests run on schedule. Breakfast counts, night notes, and open-ticket summaries can send themselves.
Without the hospitality details, this is an internal tool doing daily work. The internal tools overview shows the same pattern for other back-office systems.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the hospitality management app you need, and it builds the database, screens, workflows, and permissions.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. The rooms, housekeeping rules, staff roles, voucher flow, and handbook answers are built around your property.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask for a new room state, a changed checklist, a new digest, or a new product such as a picnic hamper.
Does this replace our booking engine?
It does not have to. You can start with the operational layer alongside your current reservations process. If you later want booking in the same app, rooms, rates, and availability can be added.
Can staff use their own phones?
Yes. The housekeeping board and ticket camera can run in a phone browser, with access controlled by staff login and role.
What does the handbook assistant know?
It answers from the documents you upload: manuals, policies, local recommendations, and operating notes. Answers cite the source, and transcripts show where the handbook has gaps.
Can we sell more than gift vouchers?
Yes. You can sell late checkout, picnic hampers, bike rentals, and other one-time purchases through your own Stripe account.
Does Kliv take a cut of voucher sales?
No. Payments run on your own Stripe account. Card processing costs are between you and Stripe.
Can different staff see different information?
Yes. You can scope views by role, such as housekeeping, kitchen, front desk, manager, or owner.
Can the system send daily emails?
Yes. Scheduled jobs can send breakfast counts, night notes, arrivals, and open-ticket summaries on your templates.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
Do I need a separate CMS or admin tool?
No. The app is its own admin. Authorized users can edit records, products, copy, and operating notes inside the app.
