Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your boat rental operation, and it builds a real app for hulls, bookings, waivers, weather holds, engine hours, service blocks, and checkout.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t a generic appointment calendar. It’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the fleet records, booking calendar, waiver flow, checkout, weather holds, engine-hour logs, service blocks, renter accounts, and reports. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can run payments through your own Stripe account, use your own domain, and keep changing it by asking for changes. It isn’t a template with boats renamed as resources.
On this page, that app is a boat reservation and management system. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one built around hulls, water, weather, waivers, and maintenance.
A boat rental is not just a time slot. Each hull has capacity, rates, engine hours, service thresholds, waiver requirements, weather risk, fuel notes, and sometimes damage. A calendar that treats boats as interchangeable appointments can double-book a hull or keep booking a boat that needs service.
Kliv builds the reservation system around the fleet. The calendar, waivers, weather holds, engine-hour logs, service blocks, and checkout all read the same records.
The records the dock office needs before a boat leaves and after it returns.
Each hull is a row with capacity, horsepower, half-day and full-day rates, current engine hours, and service threshold.
Bookings can be half-day or full-day per hull, with a refuel buffer between them. A second booking for the same hull and time is rejected.
A renter record can hold license details, signed waivers, and rental history. Without a waiver on file, departure cannot complete.
A weather hold can move a morning’s departures into reschedule-or-refund status and send notices in the marina’s wording.
Hours logged at return accumulate on the hull. Once the threshold is reached, new bookings are blocked until service clears the hold.
A ten-hour pack can be bought once and drawn down on each return, with remaining hours visible to the renter.
Here’s how one marina might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own fleet, rates, waivers, weather policy, and service rules.
On Friday evening, Tove marks Saturday morning as a weather hold. Nine bookings are affected because the hold and calendar share the same records.
Each affected renter gets an email under the marina’s name with a rebooking link. Two groups move themselves to Sunday before the office closes.
One party cannot make Sunday. Their refund goes to an approval queue so money moves only after Tove approves it.
The afternoon block was never held. At the dock, staff check waiver on file, briefing done, fuel logged, and keys handed over.
After the weekend, hull #3 crosses 250 hours. It takes no new bookings until a service entry records the impeller change and clears the block.
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include hulls, rates, booking blocks, buffers, waivers, weather policy, service rules, and payment terms. Here are three to build on:
Pontoons and skiffs by half day or full day.
“Build a reservation site for a lake marina. We have six pontoons, four fishing skiffs, and one runabout. Half-day pontoon rentals cost $265 and full-day rentals cost $430, every booking requires a signed waiver before departure, each return logs fuel and engine hours, and a hull blocks for service after 250 engine hours.”
Per-seat bookings with a manifest and weather holds.
“Build a booking system for skippered harbor cruises. Guests book seats at $45 each, the skipper sees a passenger manifest for each departure, weather holds reschedule a whole sailing at once, and refunds wait for staff approval.”
Member reservations gated by qualification.
“Build a members-only reservation app for our sailing club. Dinghies require a Level 1 qualification, keelboats require Level 3, usage hours log against each boat, and members can see their own bookings and remaining prepaid hours.”
Checkout can respect the water. A booking can be paid in full at checkout through the marina’s own Stripe account. Seasonal price windows, such as midsummer weekends, can open and close on the dates you set.
Refunds can keep a human in the loop. Weather can generate refund requests in bulk, but each can wait for approval before money moves.
The morning manifest can be automatic. A scheduled job can assemble departures, hulls, renters, waiver status, and fuel notes and email them before the first rental.
A season can become numbers. Analytics can count utilization per hull and revenue per weekend, so winter fleet decisions are based on records.
The rest of the trade — regular renters, seasons, and a till that lives online — is the local-business pattern, and the local-business page covers it.
Kliv is an AI app builder that creates custom web apps from a description. For boat rentals, it builds fleet records, booking rules, checkout, waivers, weather holds, service blocks, renter accounts, and reports.
A real app. Kliv builds the database, screens, booking logic, file rules, and payment flow for your marina.
Yes. You can ask for changes later, such as new rates, a new waiver rule, another service threshold, or a different weather policy.
A weather hold can flip affected bookings to reschedule-or-refund and send notices in your wording. Refunds can wait for approval before money moves.
Yes. Engine hours can log at return, and once a hull passes its threshold, new bookings can be refused until service clears the block. A manual block can handle a scraped prop, slow leak, or other dock-office reason too.
Yes. Repeat renters can sign in to see history, signed waivers, and remaining hours on a prepaid pack.
Yes. Both can be one-time products in the same catalog as bookings. Hour packs can draw down as they are used.
Yes. The departure checklist can refuse to complete until the renter has a signed waiver on file.
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Card fees are between you and Stripe.
No. Renters just pay by card.
Yes. The reservation site and renter accounts can run on your own domain.
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
