Build a financial services app
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your desk’s workflow — intake, deal files, borrower portals, document checklists, lender rosters, commissions, and reports — and it builds the app on your own domain.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a banking system or a licensed industry suite — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the database, the logic, the screens, the portals, and the access rules. What you get is a real web app that’s yours, on your own domain, and you can change it later by asking. It isn’t a template with finance labels.
On this page, that app is a financial services workflow system. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this page focuses on deal files, borrower portals, checklists, lender records, fees, and reporting.
Why build your own financial services platform?
Smaller finance desks often work across a CRM, shared drives, email attachments, and spreadsheets. The work is specific: intake, deal files, document checklists, borrower status, lender programs, commissions, and reports.
Kliv builds the system around the desk’s real process. The deal file, borrower portal, lender roster, checklist, milestone emails, and reporting live in one app with sign-in for the right people.
What the desk knows
Five kinds of record, each with the rule that protects it.
Deal files
One record per financing: asset, amount, borrower, stage, documents, notes, and status changes. The whole deal history stays in one place.
Borrower organizations
Each borrower is an organization with its own users. Organization-level rules keep one borrower’s portal from reading another borrower’s deals.
Document checklists
Bank statements, tax returns, equipment quotes, and other required files live on the deal. Missing documents are visible as checklist items, not remembered from email.
Lender roster
Each lender can keep programs, rate cards, and appetite notes on file. When a program sheet changes, it changes once for the desk.
Commission ledger
Expected and received commissions can be tracked per deal and per lender, fed by the pipeline instead of reconstructed at month end.
Built around the deal desk
Behavior described once, then used across the app.
Intake opens the file
The application form asks for the information underwriters need. Submitting it creates a deal file instead of an email someone has to retype.
A portal per borrower
Borrowers sign in with email, Google, or a passkey and see their deal stage and outstanding documents. Uploading a statement can check off the matching item.
Milestones on your templates
Submitted, approved, documents out, funded: each status change can send the borrower an email using your template.
An internal assistant for the desk
Brokers can ask which programs fit a two-year-old company in a rate band, and the assistant answers from program sheets the desk uploaded. It is a tool for brokers, not advice for borrowers.
Dashboards from your rows
Pipeline by stage, funded volume by lender, and days from intake to funding can be computed from your own records.
An example: Dana’s equipment finance brokerage
Here’s how one financial services desk might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own products, documents, lenders, roles, and reports.
An application creates a deal file
Dana’s borrower applies for financing on a $92,000 excavator. The submission creates a deal file with the borrower, asset, amount, and stage.
The borrower sees what is missing
The borrower signs in and sees a checklist for bank statements, tax returns, and the equipment quote. Each upload lands on the deal file.
Brokers work from one lender roster
Dana’s team checks program sheets and lender appetite notes from the roster instead of searching email attachments.
Milestones send updates automatically
When the deal moves to approved or documents out, the borrower gets the status email on Dana’s template.
The commission ledger updates from the deal
When the deal funds, expected and received commission fields stay tied to the deal and lender, so the month’s number is computed from the records.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include who signs in, which documents are required, how statuses work, and what reports you need. Here are three to build on:
Equipment finance desk
Deals, documents, lenders, and commissions.
“Build an equipment finance brokerage app. Each application should create a deal file with asset, amount, borrower, and stage. Borrowers should sign in to upload bank statements, tax returns, and equipment quotes against a checklist. Brokers should manage lender program sheets and appetite notes. The app should send milestone emails on our templates and track expected and received commissions by deal and lender.”
Mortgage pipeline tracker
Loan files, conditions, and closing dates.
“Build a mortgage broker app where each loan file tracks borrowers, properties, conditions to clear, target closing date, and assigned broker. Borrowers should upload documents to their own portal, and the team should see closings by week and files blocked by missing conditions.”
Investor document room
Statements and reports walled per investor.
“Build an investor portal where each investor organization signs in to read only its own monthly statements, quarterly reports, capital call notices, and tax documents, with an audit trail showing who opened each file and when.”
How it comes together
Client walls can be tested. A Scenario test can sign in as one borrower and request another borrower’s deal file in a real browser against a disposable database. Publishing can depend on that test passing.
Fees can run through checkout when you charge them. If the desk charges a $450 documentation fee, it can be a product paid through your own Stripe account and receipted on the deal. You can rehearse the flow with test payments first.
Your exit stays open. The app’s source syncs with a Git repository you own, and the data is rows in your database.
If the system becomes something other desks would pay for, SaaS on Kliv covers turning an internal tool into a product with plans and customers.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For financial services, it can build the workflow layer around your desk: intake, files, portals, checklists, emails, reporting, and fees.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. The database, access rules, portals, and screens are built for your process, not a generic finance form.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask for new stages, document types, roles, reports, or fee rules later.
Is this a core banking system?
No. Accounts, deposits, and payment rails stay where they are. Kliv is for the workflow around your service: intake, files, portals, checklists, pipelines, fees, and reporting.
How is client financial data protected?
Documents can live in private file storage, and organization-level rules can keep one client’s users from reading another client’s rows.
Can borrowers use it without help from us?
Yes. They can sign in, see status, upload required documents, and receive milestone emails as the deal moves.
Can I charge application or documentation fees?
Yes, if that fits your business. Fees can run through your own Stripe account and be receipted on the relevant deal.
Do clients need their own Stripe accounts?
No. If you take payments, clients pay by card. The payments run through your Stripe account.
Does Kliv take a cut of payments?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Card processing costs are between you and Stripe.
Can the app send milestone emails?
Yes. Status changes can send emails on your templates, such as submitted, approved, documents out, and funded.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull, not a rebuild.
Do I need a separate CMS or portal tool?
No. The app is its own admin and portal for records, documents, page text, and workflows.
Will the public pages show up in search?
If you publish public pages, they are prerendered and readable to search engines, with a sitemap generated for the site.
