E-commerce Management
Build an e-commerce management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the e-commerce management system you need — catalog, batches, stock, drops, subscriptions, wholesale, and tax — and it builds it on your own Stripe account.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a storefront platform with plugins — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the catalog, inventory, checkout, subscription logic, wholesale views, tax reports, dashboards, and admin screens. You own the result, run payments on your own Stripe account, and keep changing it later by asking for changes. It isn’t a store theme with add-ons bolted on.
On this page, that app is an e-commerce management system. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one for a store whose operations need to share one database.
Why build your own e-commerce operation?
A small product business may sell single items, subscription boxes, seasonal drops, wholesale cases, bundles, and promo codes from the same catalog. A normal storefront can sell the product, but the rest often turns into plugins that disagree about stock, prices, tax, and customer state.
Kliv builds the operation as one system. Catalog, batches, stock, subscriptions, wholesale, checkout, and reports read the same rows.
What the system knows
The store is a storefront on top of operational records.
Sauces and batches
Every bottle can belong to a numbered batch with ferment date and heat level. If batch 41 runs hotter, the product page can say so from the batch record.
Stock that tells the truth
Inventory can count down as accepted orders land. The drop page and packing bench read the same number, so sold-out is a state, not an apology.
The drop calendar
Seasonal releases can use price windows that open and close on schedule. The announced date is what the store enforces.
The quarterly club
A $30 box every quarter can renew automatically, retry failed cards, send recovery emails, and let subscribers pause without emailing you.
The wholesale side
Approved shops can sign in to see trade pricing the public never sees, and their tax IDs can appear on invoices.
Codes and bundles
Promo codes and a three-bottle trio can be defined in the catalog and honored everywhere checkout runs.
An example: Mateo’s hot-sauce drop
Here’s how one business might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own products, stock, drops, subscriptions, wholesale rules, and tax needs.
The drop opens on schedule
Mateo’s autumn ghost-pepper window starts at 18:00 on Friday, exactly when the newsletter promised.
Orders and stock stay in sync
Checkout runs on Mateo’s Stripe account, receipts use his template, and stock falls with the packing list as orders land.
The club renews in the same system
Quarterly boxes charge that weekend too. One card has expired, so retries and the recovery email start without Mateo handling it.
Sold-out is enforced by the count
The last bottle sells Sunday night. The page says sold out because the database count reached zero, and checkout stops taking orders for it.
Monday reports already agree
Mateo sees revenue by channel, the newsletter beating market-stall traffic, and tax totals by jurisdiction without reconciling plugin exports.
Describe the store you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include product types, stock rules, prices, subscriptions, wholesale access, tax, and reports.
Small-batch food brand
Batches, drops, stock, and subscriptions.
“Build a store for my hot-sauce business. Track products by numbered batch with ferment date and heat level, keep stock counts honest, run a ghost-pepper drop from Friday 18:00 to Sunday 22:00, sell a $30 quarterly subscription box, support three-bottle bundles, and calculate sales tax for California, Oregon, and Washington.”
Retail plus wholesale
One catalog, two prices, and tax IDs.
“Build a shop where retail customers buy at list price and approved wholesale accounts sign in to see trade pricing. Wholesale invoices should include the buyer’s tax ID, minimum wholesale order should be $240, and retail and wholesale stock should come from the same catalog.”
Made-to-order goods
Lead times, order stages, and updates.
“Build a store for my leatherwork. Each order should move through cutting, stitching, finishing, and shipping stages; customers should see their order stage without emailing me; lead times should show before checkout; and final payment should run through my Stripe account.”
How it comes together
One catalog can hold every price shape. Single bottles, bundles, a quarterly club, promo codes, drop windows, and free products can all be catalog records, so the store and checkout do not disagree about price.
You can rehearse the drop first. In the Sandbox, test payments and a simulated clock can open the window, sell out, fail a card, refund an order, and fast-forward to the next club renewal before real customers enter.
An agent can answer from your records. A customer can ask whether the ghost pepper is hotter than the habanero or where their October box is, and the answer can come from product notes plus that customer’s order rows.
Tests can cover checkout before publish. A Scenario can walk checkout in a real browser on a throwaway database, hold the confirmation email for review, and block publishing until the test passes.
The drop weekend is one chapter of direct-to-consumer commerce. The D2C solutions page covers the longer path.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the e-commerce app you need, it builds it, and you own the result. Payments run through your own Stripe account.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the catalog, checkout, stock rules, subscriptions, wholesale access, tax reports, and admin screens for your operation.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add product types, reports, wholesale rules, subscription terms, drop windows, or fulfillment stages later.
Can stock really not oversell?
The count lives in your database and changes with each accepted order. When it reaches zero, checkout stops taking orders for that product.
What does a failed club renewal look like?
Dunning can retry the charge on a schedule and send recovery emails from your template with a link to update the card.
Do wholesale buyers need a separate store?
No. Wholesale can be a signed-in view of the same catalog, with trade prices only for approved accounts.
How does sales tax get handled?
You register the jurisdictions where you owe tax. Checkout calculates tax per order, and reports can come out ready to file.
Does Kliv take a cut?
No. Payments run on your own Stripe account. Kliv does not take a percentage of each sale.
Do customers need their own Stripe accounts?
No. Customers just pay by card. Stripe is how the money reaches your account.
Can I test a drop before launch?
Yes. You can run the whole drop in the Sandbox with test payments and a simulated clock before connecting real checkout.
Can I offer discounts and bundles?
Yes. Promo codes, bundles, drop windows, and free products can live in the same catalog and checkout.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
