What is Kliv?

Kliv isn’t a booking grid you configure — it’s an AI that builds software for you.

You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, the booking rules, the screens, the reminders, and the payment flow. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can run it on your own domain, take payments through your own Stripe account, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a template.

On this page, that app is an appointment scheduling app for real service work. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; scheduling is one example.

Why build your own scheduling app?

Many booking tools assume every appointment is the same length and happens in one place. Real service work is different. A piano tuning may take 90 minutes, a pitch raise may take three hours, and a technician may need time to drive across town before the next visit.

Kliv builds the calendar around the work you describe. Services keep their own duration, price, and buffer. Customers see only slots that can actually work. The app also keeps the history behind each visit: who booked, which instrument they own, what was done, and when it should be serviced again.

What the calendar holds

A scheduling app is a set of records and rules about time.

Services and durations

A tuning can be 90 minutes at $160, a pitch raise can be three hours, and a regulation can take a full day. Each service has its own length, price, and buffer, so the slot a customer sees matches the work.

The calendar and its buffers

Two visits cannot overlap. The app checks the appointment and the travel buffer before a booking is saved, so the schedule protects the time you need between jobs.

Instruments, not just customers

Each piano is its own record with make, age, last tuning, pitch notes, and repair notes. The appointment connects to the instrument, so the service history is ready before the visit starts.

Reminders on two schedules

The app can send a reminder the day before a booking and a later note when the piano is due again. Those reminders read the appointment and service history instead of relying on someone to remember.

Payment and receipts

Customers can pay online when they book or after the visit. One-time payments run on your own Stripe account, and receipts use your own template and domain.

An example: Nadia’s piano-tuning business

Here’s how one piano-tuning business might use a scheduling app built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own services, buffers, policies, and intake details.

01

Nadia’s calendar fills before she starts work

Two tunings and a regulation book themselves over the weekend, spaced by the buffers Nadia set. She starts the day with a usable route instead of a calendar to untangle.

02

Each visit carries the piano’s history

At the first stop, Nadia opens the booking and sees the piano record: last tuned in March, a quarter-tone low on arrival, and notes from the previous service.

03

A cancellation reopens the time

When a customer cancels, the afternoon slot reopens on the public page. The confirmation and any refund follow Nadia’s written policy, without a support ticket.

04

A new customer creates a real instrument record

Someone finds Nadia’s site in search, chooses a tuning for next week, and enters the piano’s details in the intake form. The instrument record exists before Nadia ever meets it.

05

The day closes with records already updated

Receipts are sent, service notes are filed into each instrument record, and next Tuesday is already filling from the available times Nadia chose to publish.

Describe the scheduling app you want

Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include the services, durations, booking rules, reminders, payments, and records you need. Here are three to build on:

Mobile tuning rounds

Home visits with travel buffers and instrument history.

“Build an appointment scheduling app for my piano tuning business. Offer tuning for 90 minutes at $160, pitch raise for three hours at $280, and full regulation as a full-day service. Add travel buffers between home visits, keep a service history for each piano, collect piano details during booking, and send reminder emails one day before the visit and six months after the last tuning.”

Lesson slot booking

Recurring weekly slots with student billing.

“Build a lesson scheduling app for my music studio. Students should book weekly recurring 30-minute or 60-minute lessons, request one makeup lesson per month, see their lesson history, and receive monthly billing per student with payment links.”

kliv.dev

Repair drop-off diary

Drop-off and pickup times with status pages.

“Build a repair shop scheduling app. Customers should book drop-off and pickup times, each repair item should get a private status page, staff should update statuses from received to ready, and ready-for-pickup emails should send automatically.”

How it comes together

The schedule is a table with rules. Appointments, services, and instruments are records in your own database. If you need a new rule, such as no pitch raises after 3pm or longer buffers across the bridge, you ask for it and Kliv updates the app.

Reminders and rebooking run on schedules. The day-before reminder, the six-month “your piano is due” email, and a Monday summary of the week ahead can all run as scheduled jobs.

Money is part of the booking. Prices live with services, checkout runs on your own Stripe account, and receipts use your template. A $160 tuning booked overnight can be a paid appointment by morning.

People can find the booking page. The site runs on your own domain, is prerendered for search crawlers, and has a sitemap generated automatically, so someone searching for a tuner can land on a page that takes the booking.

Scheduling is the front door of a local service business. How the rest of the business fits together — the site, the customers, the payments — is what the local-business solutions page covers.

Common questions

What exactly is Kliv?

Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the scheduling app you need, and it builds the database, booking screens, reminders, and payment flow. For appointment scheduling, that means an app shaped around your services and rules.

Do I get a real app, or a template?

A real app. Kliv builds the records and logic for your case: services, durations, customer details, appointment history, reminders, and payment choices. It is not a booking theme you fill in.

Can I change it after it’s built?

Yes. You can ask for changes in plain words, such as adding a new service, changing a buffer, or adding a reminder. Kliv updates the app without making you start over.

What stops a double booking?

An overlapping appointment simply cannot be written. The conflict check is enforced in the database, including the travel buffers on either side.

Do customers need an account to book?

Your choice. Guests can book with an email address, and regular customers can sign in with email or Google so their instruments and history follow them.

Can I take payment at booking time?

Yes. You can attach a price to a service and take payment during booking on your own Stripe account, or invoice after the visit. Receipts send on your template either way.

Do my customers need their own Stripe accounts?

No. Customers just pay by card. Payments run through your Stripe account.

Does Kliv take a cut of appointments?

No. Kliv does not take a per-booking cut. Card processing fees are between you and Stripe.

Can the app remember service history?

Yes. Customers, instruments, visits, notes, and dates are records in your database, so each booking can bring the relevant history with it.

Can I import my existing customer list?

Yes. Customers and instruments can be imported into your database, and you can export them later. The app’s source also syncs to your own Git repository.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. The booking site can run on your own domain and go live as soon as you build it.

Will the booking page show up in search?

Yes. Pages are prerendered for crawlers, the sitemap is generated automatically, and search visitors can land on a page that can take the booking.
