Build a podcast website
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the podcast website you want — episode pages, full transcripts, archive search, supporter access, and listener submissions — and it builds it on your own domain.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a podcast host or a website theme — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the site you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the pages, the archive, the transcript search, the supporter gate, and the moderation queue. What you get is a real website and app that’s yours, on your own domain. You can keep changing it by asking for changes.
On this page, that app is a podcast website. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one for making a show’s archive readable, searchable, and useful.
Why build your own podcast site?
A podcast feed is not a home for a show’s full body of work. It shows what is recent, but older episodes become difficult to search, quote, or cite. Audio alone does not give search engines much to read.
A site of your own turns the catalog into pages: one page per episode, with player, notes, and transcript. The feed can stay with your host; the home of the show becomes yours.
Six things the site tracks
A deep catalog needs more than a player. These records make the show searchable and manageable.
Episodes
Number, title, audio, notes, guests, and transcript are stored as one record per episode. The site renders a full page from that record.
Archive search
Search can work from the transcripts, so “the pier fire one” can find episode 61 even if the title is “Smoke on the Waterfront.”
The supporter shelf
Bonus episodes and early drops sit behind a $4 monthly supporter tier. Access follows the subscription rule, not a shared link.
Listener stories
A listener can submit a story and photo through a form. Submissions land in a moderation queue, and only approved ones become pages.
The archive assistant
A listener can ask which episodes covered a topic, and the assistant answers from the transcripts with episode numbers.
Notes and sources
Reading lists, corrections, and sources live on each episode page as permanent, linkable text.
An example: Nadia and Ollie’s harbor-history podcast
Here’s how one show might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own episodes, transcripts, supporter tier, and submission rules.
Their archive becomes searchable
Nadia and Ollie add 140 harbor-history episodes, each with notes and a full transcript. A listener can search for “the 1907 pier fire” and find the right page.
Each episode has a real page
Every episode page has the player, transcript, notes, guests, and sources. Search engines and AI assistants can read the text instead of guessing from the audio.
Supporters unlock the bonus shelf
A $4 monthly supporter tier opens bonus episodes and early drops. If a supporter lapses after the grace period, access closes automatically.
Listener stories wait for approval
A listener submits a story about a grandfather who worked on the pier, with a photo attached. The story waits in the moderation queue until Nadia approves it.
Old episodes keep working
A scheduled archive email can bring back older episodes, and analytics show which pages keep drawing listeners years after publication.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so include episode count, transcript rules, supporter pricing, gated content, and submission workflow. Here are three examples:
History podcast archive
Episode pages, transcripts, search, and supporter access.
“Build a website for my harbor-history podcast with 140 episode pages, full transcripts on every page, semantic search across the archive, and a $4 monthly supporter tier that unlocks bonus episodes and early drops.”
Interview show hub
Guest pages and listener suggestions.
“Build a podcast site with one page per guest, links to every episode where that guest appears, pull quotes from transcripts, and a listener form where people suggest future guests for moderation.”
Fiction podcast world
Season pages and member-only commentary.
“Build a site for my audio-drama podcast with season pages, a character glossary that hides spoilers past the listener’s marked episode, and member-only commentary tracks for $6 a month.”
What makes it useful
Transcripts make the show discoverable. Every episode page is prerendered and readable to crawlers, including AI assistants. The sitemap updates as episodes publish.
The supporter tier is real access control. The subscription runs on your own Stripe account. The bonus shelf opens when checkout completes and closes only after the lapse rules you choose. Failed cards retry while reminder emails send the fix.
The archive keeps compounding. A scheduled job can send a monthly “from the archive” email. Analytics show which older episodes search keeps bringing back. A deep show becomes more than a feed.
Publishing audio is still publishing. Kliv’s media page covers the wider shape: media on Kliv.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For a podcast website, it builds the episode pages, transcript archive, search, supporter access, and submission moderation around your show.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real website and app. Your episodes, transcripts, members, submissions, and access rules live in a database built for your site.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add fields, change the layout, add supporter tiers, adjust moderation, or change how search works by asking for changes.
Does this replace my podcast host?
No. Your feed and distribution can stay where they are, and public episodes can embed from your host. The site is the show’s home: pages, transcripts, search, and membership.
Where do bonus episodes live?
They live in the app’s file store behind an access rule tied to the supporter subscription. The file itself is gated, not just the page around it.
How do transcripts get in?
You add them per episode by pasting or uploading from your transcription workflow. Once added, they become page text, search material, and assistant source material.
What happens when a supporter’s card fails?
Kliv retries the card and sends recovery emails with a fix-it link. Access closes only after the grace period you set and reopens when payment succeeds.
Can listeners contribute without publishing directly?
Yes. Submissions go to a moderation queue. You approve or reject each one before it appears on the site.
Will the site show up in search?
Yes. Pages are prerendered and readable to crawlers, and the sitemap is generated for the site.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The podcast website runs on your own domain.
Does Kliv take a cut of supporter payments?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Card fees are between you and Stripe.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and your content records are yours.
