    What is Kliv?

Kliv isn’t a ticketing add-on or a shared calendar — it’s an AI that builds software for you.

You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the hold calendar, challenge rules, show records, ticketing, presales, private-hire workflow, settlement sheets, roles, and screens. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking, and run it on your own domain. If you sell tickets, payments can run through your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template with your name on it.

On this page, that app is a music and entertainment venue platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one.

Why build your own venue system?

A venue runs on dates, capacity, ticket buyers, members, paperwork, and settlement. If the hold calendar is on a wall, the ticket buyers are in another platform, and settlement is built from printouts, the same show gets handled three times.

Kliv builds those parts as one system: ranked holds, challenge clocks, show advances, ticketing capped at the room’s legal count, members presales, and settlement sheets computed from the night’s records.

    The date book, ranked

Everything hangs off a date, and every date needs to know its status.

    Holds and challenges

A hold stores date, artist, rank, and expiry. A challenge starts a 48-hour clock that can release the date if the hold is not confirmed.

    The show and its advance

Tech specs, stage plot, set times, rider, and contract live on the show and are shared only with the people who should see them.

    Tickets and capacity

Capacity is the room’s legal number and checkout reads it. Comps are named records, so the door count and the database match.

    Members club

Two hundred locals at $55 a year can receive presale windows and a name on the door list. The perk is read from the membership record.

    Private hire

Wedding and wrap-party inquiries can carry dates, quotes, and invoices. A confirmed hire blocks the calendar like a confirmed show.

    Settlement sheets

Sold tickets, comps, gross, and the split are computed from the same rows sales wrote, instead of reassembled after the show.

    An example: Iris’s 350-cap venue

Here’s how one venue might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own hold ladder, room count, ticketing, presales, private hire, and settlement rules.

    01

The first hold records the rank

Marlow Creek’s agent takes H1 on March 14. The row records the rank and a two-week expiry, and the avails view updates.

    02

    A challenge starts the clock

A touring act wants the same night. The challenge gives Marlow Creek 48 hours to confirm or release, with the deadline stored on the calendar.

    03

A confirmed hold becomes a show

Marlow Creek signs. The hold becomes a show, the advance file opens, and the contract lands where the team can find it later.

    04

Members get the first ticket window

Local members see $24 tickets on Tuesday. The public sale opens Friday. The presale window opens and closes from the show data.

    05

The door count uses live records

On show night, scans read live ticket rows: 327 sold, 11 named comps, and day-of pricing at $33 because the price rule has that date.

    06

    Settlement matches the night

Sunday morning, the settlement sheet shows gross, comps, and split from the same records. Iris pays the band from numbers the team can trace.

Describe the venue system you want

Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include holds, capacity, ticketing, presales, private hire, roles, and settlement. Here are three to build on:

    kliv.dev

    Hold calendar

Ranks, challenges, expiries, and a shareable avails view.

“Build a booking calendar for my 350-cap music venue. Use H1 and H2 ranked holds, 48-hour challenge deadlines that expire on their own, confirmation status, and a shareable avails view that does not reveal who holds a date.”

    kliv.dev

    Venue ticketing

Your box office, capacity cap, named comps, and per-show pricing.

“Sell tickets for my 350-cap venue on my own site. Set per-show pricing, cap sales at legal capacity, issue comps as named records, scan QR tickets at the door, and keep the buyer list in our own database.”

    kliv.dev

    Locals’ members club

Annual fee, presale windows, and door list.

“Add a local members club to my venue site. Charge $55 a year, open presale windows before each announce, put members on the door list by name, and let members update billing from their account.”

    Back of house

The hold ladder is stored as data. Ranks, expiries, and challenge clocks are columns, so a second confirmed show cannot land on a taken date.

Each show has its own access rules. Riders, guarantees, and settlements can be readable only by the venue and the people on that show.

The day-of email can come from the show record. Set times, door time, support act, and ticket details can be pulled from the advance file and sent to ticket holders.

A venue is where other people’s events happen. Kliv for events covers the promoter side — festivals, conferences, tours, doors, badges, and larger rooms.

    Common questions

    What exactly is Kliv?

Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. You describe your venue operations, and Kliv builds the app you own.

Do I get a real app, or a template?

A real app. Kliv builds the calendar, holds, ticketing, capacity rules, presales, private-hire flow, settlement sheets, and roles around your venue.

Can I change it after it’s built?

Yes. You can change hold rules, ticket prices, presale windows, settlement formats, or private-hire workflows by asking.

Can agents check open dates without calling?

Yes. A shareable avails view can show which dates are open or held without naming who holds them.

What happens when a hold expires?

The date can release on the expiry stored in the row, the next rank can move up, and agents can receive an email.

Do we own our ticket buyers?

Yes. Buyers are rows in the venue’s own database, usable for your newsletter and reports.

Can ticket money run through our account?

Yes. Ticket checkout can run through your own Stripe account.

Does Kliv take a cut of tickets?

No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Kliv does not take a percentage of ticket sales.

Can we sell the room itself?

Yes. Private hire can run as inquiries with dates, quotes, invoices, and confirmed bookings that block the calendar.

Can the app enforce legal capacity?

Yes. Checkout can read the room’s capacity and stop sales when the legal count is reached.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. The venue platform can run on your own domain.

Can I move off Kliv later?

Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository.
