Build a mosque prayer app
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your mosque prayer app — the timetable, jumu‘ah services, giving funds, Ramadan iftar signups, households, and receipts — and it builds the real app.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a prayer-time app from an app store — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the timetable, household accounts, giving flows, event signups, receipts, admin screens, and access rules. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can use it, change it later by asking, run it on your own domain, and take payments through your own Stripe account for giving or sponsorships. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a mosque prayer and community app for a masjid. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one.
Why build your own mosque prayer app?
Many apps can show calculated prayer times and qibla. A masjid often needs more than that: iqamah times the imam adjusts by season, two Friday services, Ramadan iftar sponsors, household accounts, receipts, and funds that must stay separate.
Kliv builds the masjid’s own app around those needs. The timetable, Friday logistics, giving designations, iftar calendar, and household directory all live in the masjid’s database and on the masjid’s own domain.
Timetable, funds, and Friday
What the app enforces on the masjid’s behalf.
The timetable and iqamah
Calculated prayer times use the method you choose. Iqamah offsets are set by the imam, and each change can keep its history and author.
Two jumu‘ah services
Each Friday service can have its own khatib, time, and overflow plan. The Friday page reads from the same rows the office edits.
Funds kept separate
Zakat, operations, and a roof appeal can each be a separate designation on the payment record, so reports and receipts do not mix them.
Ramadan iftar nights
Each night can store the sponsoring family, dish plan, and kitchen limit. Once a night is taken or full, the app stops offering it.
Household accounts
One login can cover a family’s pledges and receipts. Children’s details can be visible to the office and no one else.
An example: Idris and the Ramadan iftar calendar
Here’s how one masjid might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own timetable, services, funds, households, and Ramadan rules.
A family sponsors one night
The iftar calendar opens before Ramadan. The Hassan family takes night seventeen and pays the $325 sponsorship through the masjid’s own Stripe account.
The app sends the reminder
Three days before the night, the household receives the checklist: current headcount, kitchen limit, and door time. A scheduled job sends it.
RSVPs stop at the kitchen limit
The RSVP list closes when it reaches the number the kitchen can handle. The count used for cooking is the count expected at the door.
The day page carries the right details
The timetable page shows that night’s maghrib time, hall schedule, du‘a list, and sponsor dedication from the same date record.
Receipts and statements are already organized
After Eid, households can find receipts in their accounts, fund by fund. The treasurer’s statements are built from the designations.
Describe the masjid app you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include timetable rules, services, funds, households, events, and receipts. Here are three to build on:
Masjid timetable app
Seasonal iqamah, Friday details, giving, and receipts.
“Build a mosque app for our masjid. Use a prayer timetable the imam can adjust by season, show two jumu‘ah services with khatib details, support monthly giving, keep zakat and operations funds separate, and give each household an account with receipts.”
Ramadan iftar calendar
Sponsored nights, capped RSVPs, and reminders.
“Build a Ramadan iftar signup app. Let families sponsor one of 30 nights, charge $325 per sponsorship, cap RSVPs at the kitchen’s limit for each night, and send sponsor reminders three days before their night.”
Islamic center directory
Household logins, pledges, announcements, and year-end receipts.
“Build a community directory for our Islamic center. Use one login per household, track pledges by fund, publish event announcements, and generate year-end receipts that separate zakat, operations, and building-fund giving.”
Amanah in the records
Designations stay attached to gifts. A donor chooses the fund when giving, and that fund is stored on the payment row. Zakat reports do not depend on someone remembering which gift was which.
Standing gifts can run on your account. Monthly giving runs through the masjid’s own Stripe account, receipts land in the household account, and year-end statements can be generated on schedule.
The timetable has a history. Anyone can read today’s times. Only the right roles can move them, and every change can keep its author and date.
No one at the masjid may call this “membership,” but households with logins, standing gifts, and receipts have the same shape. The machinery the word comes with is worth reading before the next board meeting.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. You describe the app your masjid needs, and Kliv builds it.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the timetable, giving, iftar signups, household accounts, receipts, and admin screens around your masjid’s rules.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. Ask in plain words for a new fund, service, event flow, or timetable rule, and Kliv updates the app.
Does Kliv take a percentage of giving?
No. Payments run through the masjid’s own Stripe account. Kliv does not take a percentage of donations or sponsorships.
Do donors need Stripe accounts?
No. Donors just pay by card. Stripe is how the money reaches the masjid’s account.
Can the imam change iqamah times himself?
Yes. You can give the imam a role that edits the timetable and not the rest of the app, with each change recorded.
How do we keep zakat separate?
The fund designation is part of the payment record. Reports filter by fund, receipts state the fund, and moving money between funds can require a logged action.
Can we handle two jumu‘ah services?
Yes. Each service can have its own time, khatib, capacity notes, and overflow plan.
Can iftar RSVPs have a real cap?
Yes. Each night can carry a kitchen limit, and the signup stops when the limit is reached.
Can households see their receipts?
Yes. Each household can have an account with giving history, pledges, sponsorships, and receipts by fund.
Can we use our own domain?
Yes. The app can run on the masjid’s own domain.
What about Eid announcements?
Announcements can be pages in the app, with prayer time, location, parking, and an email to households from the same place.
Can we move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull.
