Build an internship marketplace
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the postings, moderation queue, advisor checks, employer applicant walls, reviews, calendar dates, and fees, and it builds your internship marketplace.

What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a job-board product you configure — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, the roles, the payment flow, and the moderation rules. What you get is a real web app that’s yours. You can run it on your own domain, use your own Stripe account for fees, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a template marketplace.
On this page, that app is an internship marketplace. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one for trusted postings, verified applicants, and multi-sided hiring workflows.
Why build your own internship marketplace?
An internship marketplace has to do more than list openings. Students need real postings. Employers need applicants who are eligible. The operator needs fees paid before a posting spends their credibility.
Kliv builds the rules into one database: moderation, employer-specific applicant walls, advisor verification, posting fees, reviews, and deadlines. The trust is in the structure, not in reminders and spreadsheets.
Three sides of one marketplace
Here is what the marketplace keeps, and the rule that gives each record meaning.
Postings
Season dates, stipend, housing, and permit context stay on the posting. Nothing goes public until it clears moderation; a rejected posting stores its reason.
Application walls
A station reads its own applicant stack and no other. Students see their own outcomes and nobody else’s.
Advisor countersign
Enrollment verification is a role with one power: countersigning an application. Until the mark lands, the application is not submitted.
Posting fee
The $95 season posting fee can be paid at approval through the marketplace owner’s Stripe account. The invoice stays on the station record.
Reviews both ways
After the season, the student and station can rate each other. Reviews stay sealed until both are in, so neither side writes in reply to the other.
Season calendar
Application windows and season dates are data. A posting past its deadline stops accepting applications automatically.
An example: Leah’s field-biology internship marketplace
Here’s how one marketplace operator might use an internship marketplace built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own postings, verification, fees, and review rules.
A station submits a posting
A raptor-banding station posts a fall season with bunkhouse housing. The posting waits in Leah’s moderation queue until she confirms the details.
The fee clears at approval
When Leah approves the posting, the $95 checkout runs through her Stripe account. The payment and posting stay on the station record.
Applicants stay behind one wall
Students apply through October. The station reads its own stack, and the marine lab next to it cannot see that the stack exists.
Advisor checks happen before submission
Each application waits for the advisor’s countersign. Two students never get one, so those applications never reach the station.
Reviews open after the season
In spring, the station and student both review. The seals open together, and next year’s students can read what this year’s students found at the bunkhouse.
The dashboard shows the market
Leah can see fill rates by region and views-to-applications by posting type, so she knows where the marketplace is working.
Describe the marketplace you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include posting rules, verification, fees, access walls, reviews, and deadlines. Here are three to build on:
Research internship board
Field seasons, advisor checks, and posting fees.
“Build an internship marketplace for field-biology students and research stations. Stations pay $95 for each approved season posting, students apply with advisor verification, every station sees only its own applicants, and application deadlines close automatically.”
Design studio internships
Portfolios, moderation, and sealed reviews.
“Build an internship marketplace for design studios. Students upload portfolios, studio postings go through admin moderation, each studio sees only its own applicants, and reviews from both sides are released only after the season ends.”
Apprenticeship matcher
Licensed shops and certified applicants.
“Build an apprenticeship marketplace where licensed shops post placements, applicants upload certifications, an admin approves every posting before it goes live, and each shop pays a $75 posting fee on approval.”
The marketplace rules
Moderation is part of the product. Postings, reviews, and profile photos can route through approve-or-reject flows. The decision and reason stay on the record.
Organizations are first-class records. A station can have several staff members sharing one applicant stack. Advisors can have the narrow role of countersigning applications. Access can be removed from one person without removing the organization.
The catalog can support launch offers. The $95 posting fee is a one-time product. A promotion code can waive it for a pilot cohort, so the first ten stations can ride free without hand-editing invoices.
A marketplace is one kind of SaaS. The larger pattern — plans, tenants, and the business around the product — is cataloged at SaaS on Kliv.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For an internship marketplace, it builds the listings, applications, roles, moderation, fees, and reviews around your process.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. The marketplace is built around your students, employers, verification rules, posting fees, and access boundaries.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can change fees, add review rules, change verification steps, add employer fields, or adjust moderation flows by asking.
Does Kliv take a cut of my posting fees?
No. Fees run through your own Stripe account. Card processing fees are between you and Stripe.
Do employers need their own Stripe accounts?
No. Employers pay by card. Stripe is how the money reaches your account.
Can one employer see another employer’s applicants?
No. Applications are owned by the station-student pair. Another employer’s session has no route to them.
What keeps fake postings out?
Nothing goes public until it clears the moderation queue. Rejections can store their reason, so your standard stays clear over time.
Can students be verified as enrolled?
Yes. Advisors can have a real role that countersigns applications. Submission can require that countersign.
Can reviews stay sealed until both sides respond?
Yes. Reviews can be stored and released only after both student and employer have submitted.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The marketplace can run on your own domain.
Will postings show up in search?
Yes, if you make them public. Posting pages can be served so search engines and AI assistants can read them.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and your data can be exported.
