Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the document automation and generation system you need — templates, intake answers, generated drafts, versions, ripple lists, and client portals — and it builds it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t a document generator with fixed templates — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, the intake screens, the generation logic, the document records, the access rules, and the client portals. You own the result, run it on your own accounts, and keep changing it later by asking for changes. It isn’t a template library with your fields added.
On this page, that app is a document automation and generation system. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one for turning templates, intakes, and generated documents into a trackable lifecycle.
A simple document generator takes a template and creates a PDF. For an HR consultancy producing employee handbooks, the difficult questions come after the first draft: which clients used an older clause, which employees acknowledged the current version, and which documents need to be regenerated after a rule changes.
Kliv builds the full lifecycle as data. Templates, clauses, intake answers, generated documents, versions, and acknowledgments are records that reference each other, so the system can answer what was generated and why.
Generation is one moment. The records around it are what make the system useful.
Handbook templates can be assembled from clauses, and each clause can keep its own version history. A PTO policy can be written once and referenced wherever it applies.
Each client can complete a questionnaire for headcount, states, benefits, and policies. Conditional questions appear only when relevant, and the answers stay available after generation.
A typed server-side function can walk the template, clauses, and intake answers to create the draft. The same inputs create the same document.
Every generated document records which clause versions built it. When a clause changes, the system can list every client document built from the older version.
Each client’s documents can live behind their own access rules. A client signs in and sees their handbook, history, and nothing that belongs to another client.
Employees can confirm they have read the handbook. Each confirmation is a row with a name and timestamp, so the dashboard can show who has not acknowledged the current version.
Here’s how one business might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own templates, intake questions, generation rules, delivery process, and pricing.
Priya sends the questionnaire link. Questions about state rules and benefits appear only when the earlier answers make them relevant.
The consultant clicks generate, and the server function assembles a 60-page handbook from the current clause versions and the client’s answers.
After review, the handbook publishes to the client’s portal. The client admin invites staff, and acknowledgments begin landing as rows.
In March, Priya updates one state-specific clause. The system lists the 14 client handbooks built from the older text.
Each affected client gets a regenerated document and an email on Priya’s template explaining the change. Acknowledgment counts reset for the new version.
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include templates, intake answers, generation rules, versions, access, formats, and billing if you charge for it.
Clause library, intakes, versions, and portals.
“Build a document automation tool for our HR consultancy. Include a clause library with version history, client intake forms for headcount, states, and benefits, generated employee handbooks that record the clause versions used, a portal per client, employee acknowledgments, and a $1,800 build fee plus $95 monthly maintenance through Stripe.”
Service modules become tracked proposals.
“Build a proposal generator for our consulting firm. Let the team choose service modules, merge client details and pricing into the proposal, keep every sent version, track whether it was won or lost, and show which module combinations close best.”
Inspection templates and versioned packets.
“Build a policy-packet tool for our safety consultancy. Site details should fill inspection templates, each generated packet should record the template and clause versions used, clients should get a private portal, and reminders should list packets affected when a template changes.”
Generation logic is yours. The assembly can run as typed TypeScript server functions, and the app’s source can sync with your own Git repository. The code that builds your documents is readable and portable.
The library can be searched by meaning. A semantically indexed clause library can find the right text for a question like “which clause covers remote-work stipends,” even if the wording differs. A consultant-facing agent can answer from the library it has read and leave transcripts in your database.
Delivery has walls. Generated documents can live in the file store under per-client access rules. Client staff can sign in with email and password, Google, or passkeys, and they see only their client’s material.
Pricing can be part of the app. A $1,800 handbook build plus $95 per month maintenance can be a catalog with two prices on your own Stripe account, and the maintenance subscription can keep the portal open. Consultancies running intake, delivery, and renewal this way are covered on the services page.
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the document automation system you need, it builds the app, and you own the result.
A real app. Kliv builds the database, intake forms, generation logic, access rules, portals, and reports around your documents.
Yes. You can ask for new templates, clauses, intake fields, portal roles, reports, or pricing later.
That is a role decision. Clients can comment, consultants can edit, and every published version can be preserved so there is no confusion about which text was current.
The source of truth can stay as structured content in your database and render as portal pages and print-ready downloads.
Each employee can sign in, read, and confirm. The confirmation writes a row with name and timestamp, and the dashboard shows who has not confirmed the current version.
Because generated documents record the clause versions used, the app can list documents built from older text and help you regenerate the affected ones.
The library sits behind role-scoped access rules, the source can mirror to your own repository, and you can export your data. Centralized does not mean captive.
Yes. You can sell a build fee, a maintenance subscription, or both through your own Stripe account.
No. Payments run on your own Stripe account. Kliv does not take a percentage of each client payment.
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
