Build a construction project management app
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your construction project management app, and it builds job files, daily photo logs, change orders, client approvals and payments, sub access, and punch lists.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a generic project tool you configure — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, job files, daily logs, change orders, portals, access rules, payment flow, and schedule logic. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can run it on your own domain, take payments through your own Stripe account, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is a construction project management app. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; job management is one example.
Why build your own project management app?
A small contractor may run on group texts, the foreman’s photo roll, and change orders everyone remembers differently. Large construction platforms are often priced and shaped for a different kind of company.
Kliv builds the version that matches how a small GC works: one file per job, written into by the crew, subs, and homeowner, with each person seeing only the part they should see.
What lives in the job file
A job file keeps schedule, evidence, access, and money in one place.
Jobs and phases
Each job carries scope, phases with dates, the sold budget, and the people assigned. If one phase slips, dependent dates can move visibly.
Daily logs
Crew photos and notes go from a phone into the file store, stamped to the job and day. Months later, there is a photo record of what was closed up and when.
Change orders
Discovered work becomes a priced written change order with scope, amount, signature, and schedule effect. The schedule does not move until the change is approved.
Subs and their slice
A subcontractor signs in and sees the jobs assigned to them. Row-level security scopes documents, photos, and dates to those jobs.
The homeowner portal
Clients can follow their own job: photos you publish, schedule, approved changes, and invoices. They see only their job.
The punch list
End-of-job items have a photo, owner, and done state the client confirms. The list shrinks in the app instead of in a notebook.
An example: Elena’s renovation company
Here’s how one contractor might use a construction project app built with Kliv. It’s only an example — you would describe your own daily logs, approvals, payments, and schedule rules.
Elena’s foreman records the problem first
On Wednesday demo day, the foreman finds rot behind a shower wall and photographs it into the daily log before the dust settles.
The log becomes a priced change order
That log entry becomes change order #14: description, the photo, $2,340, and three added days. It is drafted at the kitchen table, not retyped from a text thread.
The homeowner approves and pays in the portal
On Thursday morning, the homeowner opens the portal, reviews the change order beside the photo, approves it, and pays online as a one-time payment on Elena’s Stripe account.
The schedule changes from the approval
Five minutes later, the schedule shifts three days. The plumber’s Friday visit moves, and she is emailed automatically, so nobody has to call around.
Closeout has one provable story
At closeout, change order #14 sits in the job file with its photo, approval, payment, and schedule effect: one story, told once, and provable later.
Describe the construction app you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include jobs, roles, logs, change orders, approvals, payments, schedule rules, and client views. Here are three to build on:
Remodel job tracker
Phases, photo logs, change orders, and budgets.
“Build a project management app for my remodeling company. Track jobs, phases, daily photo logs from crew phones, priced change orders with client approval, change-order payment through our own Stripe account, and a budget-versus-actual view per job.”
Sub coordination portal
Each sub sees their jobs and dates.
“Build a subcontractor portal. Each sub should see only their assigned jobs, upcoming dates, documents, and daily log items, confirm scheduled visits with one tap, and receive automatic emails when a dependent phase moves.”
Client build portal
Homeowners follow their own build.
“Build a client portal for a home builder. Each homeowner should follow only their own build, see weekly photo updates, make selections before deadlines, approve change orders, pay invoices online, and confirm punch-list items at closeout.”
How it comes together
Access is per job. Crew, subs, and clients use the same app with different views. Every photo, date, invoice, and change order belongs to a job, and each account sees only its jobs.
Photos are filed as evidence. The file store takes full-resolution site photos from phones, optimizes them for fast pages, and files them by job and day.
Money and schedule stay connected. A change order can be approved and paid in the same portal action. Progress invoices can go out by phase and be paid online.
The morning digest can run automatically. A scheduled job can post today’s crews, deliveries, and inspections to the company Slack channel at 6:30, using the schedule database.
Job files, portals, and digests are the construction version of a broader pattern: companies replacing rented software with tools shaped like themselves. More of that habit lives at the internal-tools page.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the construction project management app you need, and it builds job files, logs, roles, access rules, change orders, payments, and portals.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Jobs, phases, photos, change orders, invoices, sub access, homeowner portals, and punch lists are built for your workflow.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask to add a phase, change an approval rule, add a digest, change homeowner visibility, or add a new report.
Do subs and clients cost extra seats?
No. Kliv does not price by your app’s users. Add crew, subs, and homeowners; access is governed by role and job assignment.
Can the crew post from their phones?
Yes. The app is a website that works on phones, so photos and notes can go into the daily log from the site.
What does the homeowner see?
Their job only: the photos you publish, schedule, change orders awaiting approval, and invoices. Internal notes and margins can stay internal.
Can change orders be paid online?
Yes. Approval and payment can happen together in the client portal as a one-time payment on your own Stripe account.
Do homeowners need their own Stripe accounts?
No. Homeowners pay by card. Stripe is how the money reaches your account.
Can subs see only their assigned jobs?
Yes. Row-level security scopes photos, documents, dates, and jobs by assignment.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app and portals can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and the job data is exportable.
Can it send a daily digest?
Yes. A scheduled job can post or email the day’s crews, deliveries, inspections, or other views you define.
