What is Kliv?

Kliv isn’t a donation widget or a creator marketplace. It’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.

You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the payment flow, the access rules, the screens, and the pages your supporters use. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can run payments through your own Stripe account, use your own domain, and keep changing it by asking for changes. It isn’t a template with your name on it.

On this page, that app is an athlete fanbase and donation platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one built around supporter tiers, named goals, and a season people can follow.

Why build your own supporter platform?

A season costs money: travel, physio, equipment, camps, and the weeks between competitions. A tip jar can collect a gift once, but it does not give supporters a reason to stay close to the season. A large creator platform may handle subscriptions, but it also puts the athlete inside someone else’s marketplace and takes a cut.

Kliv builds the platform around the athlete’s own season. Supporters can pay a monthly tier, fund named goals, read training updates, watch gated video, and follow public results. Payments run through the athlete’s own Stripe account, and access follows the supporter record automatically.

What supporters fund

The main records behind a supporter platform, and what each one controls.

Supporters and tiers

A follower can be free, and a supporter can pay $7 a month. That supporter record opens the training diary, film room, and supporter thread without a second list to maintain.

Training diary

Session notes, throw counts, and injury updates can be public or supporter-only. A supporter-only entry is checked against the database before it renders.

Film room

Full sessions and slow-motion breakdowns live in the app’s file store. Public visitors can see highlights; supporters can see the full series you choose to share.

Named goals

A winter camp, a competition spear, or flights to a qualifier each has a target, a running total, and a list of contributors. When a goal is funded, the page says so.

Season calendar

Every start, result, and travel window sits on one calendar. The public can see where the athlete competes next, and supporters can see the plan underneath it.

An example: Astrid’s javelin season

Here’s how one athlete might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own sport, season, supporters, and funding goals.

01

Supporters get a reason to join

Astrid posts the indoor opener’s result within the hour. The public sees the result; supporters also get the diary entry about how the run-up felt. Three followers upgrade before midnight.

02

A named goal reaches its target

The Belek winter-camp goal reaches its $2,400 target in February. Every contributor is listed on the goal record, and the thank-you email goes out from Astrid’s own domain.

03

Failed cards are handled automatically

One supporter’s card expires in April. Kliv retries the payment on schedule and sends a link to update the card. The supporter fixes it from a phone, and Astrid does not have to chase it.

04

Competition video stays gated

Qualifier footage goes into the film room before the stadium empties. It is uploaded from a phone, gated when it lands, and available only to people with the supporter tier.

05

The season stays on record

At nationals, the public page carries the result and the supporters’ thread carries the day around it. Astrid can thank each supporter by name because each one is a row in the app.

Describe what you want to build

Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Spell out the sport, the tiers, the goals, and what supporters should unlock. Here are three to build on:

kliv.dev

Javelin season hub

A paid tier, gated diary, named goals, and public results.

“Build a supporter site for a javelin thrower. Charge $7 a month for a supporter tier that unlocks a training diary, film-room videos, and a supporter thread. Add named funding goals with progress bars, including a $2,400 winter camp and a $600 replacement spear, and publish a public results calendar.”

kliv.dev

Marathon crew page

Monthly support for training and race-day costs.

“Build a supporter platform for a marathoner. Let the crew pay $10 a month for training-log access, behind-the-scenes race prep, and monthly Q&A posts. Add one-time funding goals for a $185 race entry and $900 travel budget, and show a public race calendar.”

kliv.dev

Club boosters portal

Supporters fund individual athletes in one club.

“Build a boosters portal for our athletics club. Each athlete should have a public profile, a gated supporter diary, and goals for kit and travel funding. Let supporters choose an athlete, pay $8 a month, or make a one-time contribution to a named goal.”

How payments and access work

Subscriptions and one-time goals share the same checkout. A $7 supporter tier is a subscription. A winter-camp contribution is a one-time payment toward a named goal. Both run through the athlete’s own Stripe account and both update the supporter record.

Access follows the ledger. The diary, film room, and supporter thread all check whether the reader has an active supporter tier. If a card fails, retries and reminders run first; access closes only after the grace period you set.

Video sharing uses rules, not hidden links. Files can be public, supporter-only, or shared with a specific person, such as a coach abroad. The rule belongs to the file, so forwarding a link does not grant access.

Athletes are creators with a season for a publishing schedule. For the wider creator build — posts, tiers, and audience tools — see the creators solutions page.

Common questions

What exactly is Kliv?

Kliv is an AI app builder that creates custom web apps from a description. For an athlete platform, it builds the supporter pages, payment flow, access rules, diary, goals, and results calendar around the season you describe.

Do I get a real app, or a template?

A real app. Kliv builds the database, screens, payment logic, and supporter access for your case. It is not a pre-made creator page you fill in.

Can I change it after it’s built?

Yes. You can ask for changes in plain words, such as adding a new funding goal, changing what a tier unlocks, or adding a different results view.

Does Kliv take a percentage of what supporters give?

No. Kliv prices the platform, not your supporter count. There is no per-member fee and no cut of pledges. Payments run through your own Stripe account, and card processing costs are between you and Stripe.

Do supporters need their own Stripe accounts?

No. Supporters just pay by card. Stripe is how the money reaches your account.

What happens when a supporter’s card stops working?

Kliv retries the charge on a schedule and sends the supporter a link to update the card. Access stays open through the grace window you choose, then closes if payment is not fixed.

Can I post from training camp?

Yes. The diary can be posted from a phone, footage can upload when the connection allows, and receipts, retries, and access checks run server-side.

Can I make some posts public and some supporter-only?

Yes. Each diary entry or file can have its own access rule, so public visitors see public work and supporters see the material included in their tier.

Can I run named fundraising goals?

Yes. A goal can have a target, a running total, and a contributor ledger, such as $2,400 for winter camp or $600 for equipment.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. The platform can run on your own domain, with emails and pages under your name.

Can I move off Kliv later?

Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.

Do supporters need another password?

No. Sign-in can use Google, Facebook, passkeys, or plain email, depending on what you want to offer.
