Agritech & Farm Management
Build a farm management system
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the farm management system you need — blocks, plantings, spray rules, harvest lots, crew tasks, and CSA billing — and it builds it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a broadacre or greenhouse suite you sign up for and configure — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the workflow. What you get is a real working app that’s yours. You own it, run it on your own accounts, and take payments through your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a custom farm management system for your operation. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own farm software?
Farm software is often built for a different operation: broadacre fields, greenhouse production, or a single crop. A diversified vegetable farm with a CSA, wholesale accounts, spray logs, harvest lots, and crew tasks may not fit.
Kliv builds the system around your farm. You describe blocks, crops, spray rules, harvest lots, task boards, shares, and roles. The app stores them as rows with rules attached, and the system changes when the operation changes.
What the system knows
A farm app earns its keep by recording the season as work happens.
Blocks and plantings
Each block stores crop, variety, seeding date, and expected harvest window. Rotation history builds from actual records.
The spray log
Product, rate, target, applicator, and block are recorded from the field. Re-entry interval starts at application, and crew tasks can respect it.
Harvest lots
A lot number ties block to harvest date to customer. A buyer question can trace from invoice back to bed.
The crew board
Tasks per person per day can be reordered when weather changes. Completed work becomes season history.
Shares and wholesale
CSA members with pause weeks and pickup sites, plus wholesale accounts with price lists, can live in one customer table with different rules.
Equipment and irrigation
Service hours, maintenance due, and valve-to-block notes attach to the equipment and lines they describe.
An example: Elise’s vegetable farm
Here’s how one farm might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own blocks, crops, spray rules, shares, buyers, and crew process.
Winter planning uses last season’s rows
Elise plans rotations for a 40-block vegetable farm using records of which blocks carried brassicas, which beds underperformed, and what CSA members actually took.
Plantings update availability
The crew records seedings from the field. Each planting inherits its block and harvest window, and the forecast updates when the record lands.
Spray intervals protect the crew
A spray application is logged with product, rate, applicator, and block. The task board keeps crew out until the re-entry interval clears.
Harvest lots feed packing lists
Harvest lots come in against plantings. A scheduled job emails packing lists for both pickup sites, using active CSA shares minus paused weeks.
Wholesale invoices use harvest records
A restaurant standing order and the co-op price list bill from the same harvest records the crew logged, through Elise’s own Stripe account.
The season report is a query
Yield by block, spray cost per crop, and CSA pause patterns come from a season that was recorded as it happened.
Describe the farm system you need
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include blocks, crops, spray rules, traceability, crew tasks, customers, and billing. Here are three to build on:
CSA vegetable farm
Blocks, rotation, spray intervals, and weekly shares.
“Build a farm management app for a 40-block vegetable farm. Track plantings and rotation history, spray logs with product, rate, applicator, block and re-entry interval, harvest lots for traceability, a crew task board, and 180 weekly CSA shares with pause weeks and two pickup sites.”
Orchard block manager
Varieties, thinning, harvest counts, and packouts.
“Build an orchard management app. Track blocks by variety and year planted, spray and thinning logs, picker bin counts at harvest, packout reports per buyer, and maintenance tasks for irrigation valves and sprayers.”
Grazing planner
Paddocks, herd moves, rest days, and hay.
“Build a grazing management app. Track paddocks, herd moves, rest days per paddock, water checks, hay inventory, feed-out records, and tasks for the field crew with role-based mobile access.”
How it comes together
The CSA can bill itself. A share can run as a subscription on your own Stripe account, such as $38 a week, with pause weeks handled by the billing rules. Paused members drop off packing lists automatically.
Different people get different windows. An agronomist can see spray logs and plantings, the crew can log tasks, and only the right roles can see revenue or price lists.
An agent can read the binder. Upload the certification binder, spray labels, and food-safety plan. A farm agent can answer from those documents and keep transcripts in your database.
The same pattern — one database, rules attached, dashboards on top — runs beyond the farm gate. See internal tools on Kliv.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe your farm management system, and Kliv builds the real app with records, screens, roles, jobs, and billing where needed.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Your blocks, crops, spray rules, harvest lots, customer types, task board, and billing rules shape the system.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add crops, change task rules, add a buyer type, update a spray workflow, or change CSA billing later.
Can the crew use it in the field?
Yes. It is a web app that runs in the phone browser the crew already carries, with forms as short as the field task requires.
Can it bill the CSA?
Yes. Shares can run as subscriptions on your own Stripe account, weekly or seasonal, with pause weeks and failed-card retries.
What about organic inspection?
The spray log records applicator, product, rate, and block as it happens. The inspector export is a filter over records already kept.
Can it track re-entry intervals?
Yes. The re-entry interval starts from the application record, and crew tasks can avoid that block until it clears.
Can it handle both CSA and wholesale?
Yes. CSA members and wholesale accounts can share a customer table while using different rules for pickups, price lists, invoices, and pauses.
Can roles hide revenue from field crew?
Yes. Row-level rules decide what each role can read, so crew can log tasks without seeing price lists or revenue.
Is my data stuck if I stop using it?
No. Your records are rows in your database, exportable any time, and the app’s source syncs to your own Git repository.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain.
Does Kliv take a cut of CSA payments?
No. Payments run on your own Stripe account. Card processing costs are between you and Stripe.
