Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the rental and booking platform you need — calendars, kits, rates, insurance gates, renter history, and checkout — and it builds it on your own domain.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t a booking product you configure — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the database, the calendar rules, the checkout, the customer accounts, the file checks, and the screens. What you get is a real web app that’s yours, on your own domain. You can use it, change it later by asking for changes, and run it on your own accounts, including your own Stripe account for payments. It isn’t a template with your logo on it.
On this page, that app is a rental and booking platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
A rental business is not just resources and time slots. A camera body may live inside two different kits. Weekend prices may differ from day rates. A first-time renter may need a current insurance certificate before expensive gear leaves the shelf. Damage notes need to follow the serial number, not a staff member’s memory.
Kliv builds the platform around those rules. Availability checks real items and kits. Checkout can require insurance. Payments and reservations stay together. Renter history makes the tenth rental easier than the first.
The records behind a rental house that works online and at the counter.
Every body, lens, and case is a record with a serial number. A kit is a bundle of items, so booking the kit commits every item inside it.
A second booking for the same serial on the same dates is refused before it exists. Availability is enforced by the database.
Day rate, weekend rate, and festival-week surcharge can be price windows that open and close on schedule.
A renter’s certificate lives on their record with an expiry date. Checkout can require a current certificate before high-value gear can be booked.
The app tracks who rented what, what came back late, damage notes, saved cards, and regular customers.
Checkout runs on your own Stripe account, and the reservation and payment are one record. Unpaid holds do not quietly block the calendar.
A scheduled job can mark overdue rentals and email the renter. You decide what happens next: late fees, a hold on future bookings, or a staff follow-up.
The note about lens #14’s front element attaches to lens #14. The next prep tech sees it on the pick list.
Every morning, an email can list the day’s pickups and returns with kits and serials. Prep starts from a list.
Returning renters can sign in with certificate, card, and history on file. The friction stays on the first rental, not the 40th.
Here’s how one rental business might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own inventory, rates, certificates, checkout rules, and follow-up policies.
Tess lists an A-camera body inside both the documentary kit and the commercial kit. When a renter books one kit, the shared body is unavailable in the other kit for those dates.
The site quotes an $85 day rate, a $190 weekend rate, or a festival-week surcharge based on the dates selected.
A first-time renter chooses a package over Tess’s insurance threshold. Checkout asks for a current certificate before the booking can complete.
At 7am, staff get the day’s pickups and returns with kit names, serials, certificate status, and the note about lens #14’s scratched front element.
At 10am, an overdue rental changes status and emails the renter. Tess can decide whether that status adds a late fee or blocks future bookings.
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include inventory, availability, rates, checkout rules, certificates, and return policies. Here are three to build on:
Kits, serials, insurance gates, and prep lists.
“Build a rental platform for my camera gear house. Track bodies, lenses, cases, and serial numbers. Create kit bundles that share components. Charge $85 per day and $190 per weekend for the documentary kit. Require a current insurance certificate before first rentals over $2,000. Prevent overlapping bookings for the same serial, take payment through my Stripe account, and email a 7am prep list.”
Member borrowing, due dates, and condition history.
“Build a tool library site for 450 neighborhood members. Members can borrow tools for seven days, renew once if there is no waitlist, receive overdue reminders after 24 hours, and each tool should keep a condition and repair history.”
Packages, delivery windows, and quotes.
“Build a rental site for party equipment. Offer tent, table, chair, and lighting packages. Price by date and quantity, require a delivery window at checkout, prevent double-booking inventory, and collect a 50% deposit through my Stripe account.”
Kits are bundles with consequences. The catalog can sell a documentary kit at $85 a day or $190 for the weekend. Because the kit contains real serials, booking it commits the shared items everywhere they appear.
The certificate is a gate. Insurance files live on the renter’s record with expiry dates. An expired certificate can stop checkout and ask for a new upload.
You can rehearse the worst weekend first. In the Sandbox, with test payments, you can run a booking, a cancellation, and a refund that waits for approval before money moves back.
A rental house is a local business with a clock. More patterns for businesses like it — bookings, walk-ins, repeat customers — are collected at the local-business solutions page.
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For rentals, that can mean inventory, availability, kit logic, checkout, certificates, renter history, and return workflows.
A real app. Kliv builds the database, booking rules, checkout, pages, and admin screens around your rental business.
Yes. You can add rates, kit rules, certificate thresholds, late-fee policies, prep lists, or new inventory types later.
The reservation table refuses overlapping bookings for the same serial. Kit bookings commit every serial inside the kit, so shared items cannot be promised twice.
Yes. You can make a current certificate a checkout condition for the gear that needs it. The file, expiry date, and rule live in the app.
The rental can flip to overdue on schedule and email the renter automatically. Late fees, future booking holds, or staff follow-up are rules you choose.
Yes. Returning renters can sign in with certificate, card, and past rentals on file.
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Kliv does not take a percentage of each rental.
No. Renters just pay by card. Stripe is how money reaches your account.
Yes. Notes can attach to the item serial, so the next prep tech sees them wherever that item appears.
Yes. The rental platform can run on your own domain.
No. The app is its own admin for inventory, rates, policies, public pages, and customer records.
