Build a professional networking platform
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the professional networking platform you need — applications, chapters, mentorship, directory, job board, dues, and events — and it builds the app.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a generic community product or social feed — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the database, application flow, member directory, access rules, payments, events, and admin screens. What you get is a real app that’s yours. You can change it later by asking for changes and run dues or tickets on your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template community.
On this page, that app is a professional networking platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this one is for a member community with admission rules, dues, chapters, and private areas.
Why build your own professional network?
A real professional community has rules: who can join, who vouches, what dues buy, which chapters exist, and who can see the directory. Generic networks flatten those rules into profiles and feeds.
Kliv builds the platform around the community’s rules. Applications, chapters, mentorship pairings, directory access, dues, and events all read the same member records.
What the network remembers
A community is its records. These are the ones the platform keeps.
Members and vouchers
A member record stores profile, specialty, join date, and who vouched. Admission can require endorsements, organizer approval, and then the first dues charge.
City chapters
Each chapter has organizers, calendar, and space. A chapter lead can manage her city’s events and roster without seeing every chapter’s records.
Mentorship pairings
A pairing stores mentor, mentee, cadence, and shared notes visible only to those two members.
The directory
Members can search by specialty, city, and years in the field. If dues lapse, the listing can stop appearing.
The job board
Members can post roles, and an organizer approves before a role goes live.
Dues and renewals
Annual dues can charge the member’s card, retry when they fail, and update directory access when they resolve.
An example: Priya’s construction network
Here’s how one professional community might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own membership rules, chapters, dues, mentorship, and events.
Two members vouch for an applicant
An applicant names two endorsers. Both receive an email and confirm in one click, and the application lands in the organizer queue.
Approval opens membership and charges dues
An organizer approves. The $180 annual dues charge the card on file, and the new member appears in the directory the same minute.
The Denver chapter stays scoped
The member joins Denver. Denver leads manage the chapter calendar, thread, and roster; national organizers still see the whole network.
A mentorship pair gets a private space
She requests a mentor in preconstruction. The program lead pairs her, and a shared workspace opens for exactly those two people.
The awards dinner sells inside the platform
November dinner tickets sell for $95 and stop at venue capacity. The check-in list is the purchase list.
Renewal runs on schedule
Year two dues charge automatically. If a card has expired, retries and reminders handle it before an organizer has to intervene.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so include admission rules, dues, chapters, directory access, mentorship, events, and moderation. Here are three examples:
Alumni network
Cohorts, mentorship, and annual giving.
“Build an alumni network for our engineering school with class-year cohorts, a mentorship program pairing students with graduates, a searchable member directory, and an annual giving drive with donation records.”
Regional trade guild
Vetted admission, referrals, meetups, and dues.
“Build a member network for independent electricians in the Pacific Northwest with vetted admission, a referral board visible only to current members, quarterly meetup tickets, and $150 annual dues on each member’s card.”
Specialty peer circles
Member-only circles and monthly dues.
“Build a networking platform for pediatric nurses with specialty circles, a mentor directory, case-discussion threads visible only to members, monthly dues, and organizer approval before job posts go live.”
How it comes together
The gate and dues are one system. Approve an application and the directory, chapter spaces, and job board can open together. Let dues lapse past the grace period and they can close together.
Privacy is a database rule. Mentorship notes, chapter rosters, and applications each have their own access rules. Editing a URL should not reveal another pairing.
The platform notices what organizers miss. Analytics can tie chapters to growth and events to attendance. A monthly digest of new members and open roles can go out on a schedule.
Dues, tiers, comped memberships, and grace periods have their own depth. The membership deep-dive covers it: membership on Kliv.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI that builds custom web apps from a description. For a professional network, it builds applications, member records, chapters, mentorship, directory access, dues, events, and admin screens.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Your membership rules, chapters, pairings, directory, job board, dues, and events live in a database built for your network.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can change admission rules, dues, chapter permissions, directory fields, mentorship flows, or event ticket rules by asking for changes.
Can we control who joins?
Yes. Admission can be open signup, application, endorsements, organizer approval, or a combination.
What do lapsed members lose, and when?
Whatever you decide. A typical setup is reminders, a grace period, then directory, chapter spaces, and job board closing together.
Can chapters run themselves?
Yes. Chapter leads can get organizer rights scoped to their own city while national organizers see all chapters.
Who owns the member data?
You do. Members are rows in your database, exportable, and the app’s source syncs to your own Git repository.
Can mentorship notes stay private?
Yes. A pairing workspace can be visible only to the mentor and mentee.
Can we sell event tickets?
Yes. Tickets can sell inside the platform, enforce venue caps, and produce the check-in list.
Does Kliv take a cut of dues or tickets?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Card fees are between you and Stripe.
Do members need Stripe accounts?
No. Members just pay by card.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The platform can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, and your member records are yours.
