Build an AI-powered mentorship platform
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your applications, mentors, matching process, session notes, cohort payments, and access rules, and it builds the mentorship platform.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t a mentorship marketplace or a fixed cohort tool — it’s an AI app builder that creates software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: applications, matching, pair rooms, notes, billing, roles, and admin screens. For paid cohorts, payments can run on your own Stripe account. You can change the app later by asking. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is an AI-powered mentorship platform. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build your own mentorship platform?
A good mentorship program depends on pairing quality and a steady rhythm. Those parts are hard to run when applications live in one form tool, matching happens in a spreadsheet, notes sit in private docs, and payments are separate links.
Kliv builds the program as one system. The application record feeds matching suggestions. The confirmed pair gets a private room. Payment can open cohort access. Notes, sessions, and completion stay attached to the same record.
What the program knows
A mentorship platform keeps relationships, capacity, privacy, and payments in one place.
Applications and essays
Each application stores the essay, goals, status, and deadline. The essay can be searched for matching, not just read once.
Mentors and capacity
Each mentor record stores expertise, availability, and a cap. A full mentor stops appearing in suggestions.
Pairs and session notes
A pair has its own room for sessions, shared notes, and goals. It is visible to the two people in the pair and the program lead.
The playbook assistant
Mentors can ask questions such as what to do after two cancellations. The answer comes from your uploaded playbooks and past guidance.
Cohort membership
A $600 cohort fee can be a checkout on your own Stripe account, and the paid record can open the community, curriculum, and pair room.
An example: Dele’s data engineering fellowship
Here’s how one program might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own application flow, matching rules, mentor capacity, pricing, and cohort rhythm.
Applications close on the deadline
Applicants submit essays and goals through a public form. The system enforces the deadline, so late applications do not need a manual decision.
Matching suggestions start from the essays
Semantic search over applications suggests mentors whose experience matches each applicant’s goals. Dele reviews the shortlist and confirms every pair himself.
Payment opens cohort access
When a mentee pays the $600 cohort fee, the cohort space, curriculum, and pair room open from the same paid record.
Sessions and notes stay with the pair
Monthly sessions are booked through the program’s calendar connection and saved on the pair. Notes remain where the next session can find them.
Quiet pairs get flagged
A scheduled job looks for pairs with no session in thirty days and nudges both sides in the program’s voice.
Completion becomes program history
Demo day, completion status, alumni access, and the next cohort all use the same program records, so the fellowship gets easier to run each cycle.
Describe what you want to build
Kliv builds from your description, so include applications, roles, matching, payments, privacy, and the cadence of the program. Here are three examples:
Engineering mentorship fellowship
Essays, matching, notes, and paid cohorts.
“Build a mentorship platform for a six-month engineering fellowship. Applicants submit essays and goals, mentors list expertise and capacity, semantic search suggests matches, staff confirm every pair, pairs keep shared session notes, and mentees pay a $600 cohort fee.”
Alumni mentoring program
Graduates volunteer and students apply.
“Build an alumni mentoring platform for our university. Graduates volunteer with availability and expertise, students apply each semester with goals, staff confirm matches from suggested shortlists, and each pair has a private space for meetings and notes.”
Founder advisory circles
Small groups with one advisor.
“Build a founder advisory platform. Put five founders and one advisor in each circle, schedule monthly calls, keep notes private to circle members, flag circles with no meeting in 30 days, and mark completion after six months.”
How it comes together
Matching suggests; people decide. Applications are indexed when they arrive, and shortlists are search results over what applicants and mentors wrote. The program lead still confirms each pair.
Privacy is structural. A mentor sees their own mentees and notes. A mentee sees their pair, cohort space, and record. Those limits are enforced on the records.
Money and membership can be one fact. The cohort fee is a one-time purchase. The paid record admits the mentee. Refunds or credits can require explicit approval from the lead.
The cohort business has many parts: pricing, curriculum, completion, alumni access. The courses solutions page covers that broader pattern.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder that creates custom web apps from a description. For mentorship, it can build applications, mentor records, matching suggestions, pair rooms, notes, payments, and admin screens.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds your program’s database, workflows, permissions, and pages. It is not a generic cohort template.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can ask for new application questions, matching fields, roles, reports, or cohort rules later.
Does the system decide the matches?
No. It suggests shortlists from application and mentor records. Confirming a match is a human action, and the app can record who confirmed it and when.
Can mentors participate free while mentees pay?
Yes. Roles and billing can be separate. Mentors get mentor access without checkout, while mentees can pay for cohort access.
What does a mentor see?
Their own mentees’ applications, sessions, and shared notes. They do not see other pairs unless you grant that role.
Can pair notes stay private?
Yes. Notes can be scoped to the mentor, mentee, and program lead at the record level.
What happens if someone drops out?
You choose the program rule. The app can require approval for a refund, issue a credit toward a later cohort, and keep the history on the record.
Does Kliv take a cut of cohort fees?
No. Payments run through your own Stripe account. Card fees are between you and Stripe.
Do mentees need Stripe accounts?
No. They just pay by card. Stripe handles the payment to your account.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, and the records are exportable.
