E-commerce Management
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your lots, bidding rules, reserves, premiums, and checkout, and it builds a live auction marketplace on your own Stripe account.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t auction software you rent and fit your sale into — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the logic, the screens, and the checkout. You own the result, run it on your own accounts, and can change it later by asking. For commerce, payments run on your own Stripe account. It isn’t a template marketplace.
On this page, that app is a live auction marketplace. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example for timed bidding, lots, invoices, and statements.
A real auction is not just a listing with a clock. It has lots, reserves, bid increments, bidder registration, absentee maximums, buyer’s premiums, consignor statements, and close rules.
Kliv builds the sale as software: the catalog, bid ledger, bidder accounts, checkout, and statements all read the same records. The rules of your auction become rules the system enforces.
An auction is a set of records around a sale. These are the ones Kliv can build.
Provenance, photos, condition notes, and reserve live on the lot record. The reserve is a rule the sale obeys.
Every bid records bidder, amount, and time. Bid increments come from a table, so the next valid bid is calculated consistently.
A bidder’s maximum is private to that bidder and the system. Other bidders see the current bid, not the hidden ceiling.
Registration, paddle number, won lots, and invoices live on the buyer account. The 20% premium can be added to the hammer price.
Each seller’s lots, hammer prices, commission, and balance due are computed from the sale records. The payout remains the house’s decision.
Here’s how one auction house might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own lot rules, bidding increments, premiums, and settlement process.
Cormac catalogs a walnut sideboard from an estate across town. Photos, condition notes, provenance, and the family’s reserve all land on the lot record.
Three hundred lot pages go live on the auction house’s own domain, readable to search crawlers before the sale.
A buyer six time zones away leaves her maximum bid. The system bids for her one increment at a time while keeping the maximum private.
A new bid lands with 90 seconds left. The lot clock extends by rule, the absentee maximum answers, and the final bid settles at $725.
The buyer’s invoice adds the 20% premium to the $725 hammer price. The consignor’s statement uses the same hammer row, commission, and balance due.
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include lot fields, bid increments, reserves, close rules, premiums, and payment terms. Here are three to build on:
Weekly timed auctions with absentee bidding.
“Build a weekly estate auction marketplace. Each sale has up to 300 lots with photos, condition notes, provenance, and reserves. Bidders register for paddle numbers, leave secret absentee maximums, bids follow an increment table, any bid in the final two minutes extends that lot by two minutes, and winning invoices add a 20% buyer’s premium.”
One night, staggered closings, paid from the seat.
“Build a charity gala auction site. Donated lots close in staggered groups every 10 minutes during the event, bidders pay from their phones before leaving, winning invoices add the 5% platform support fee we define, and unpaid winners get a reminder the next morning.”
Graded cards on consignment.
“Build an auction marketplace for graded trading cards. Collectors consign cards with grading company, grade, certification number, reserve, and photos. Sellers can watch their lots live, buyers can place absentee maximums, and every consignor gets a post-sale statement with hammer price, commission, and net.”
Close races are settled where the rows live. Two bids can arrive at nearly the same time. One write wins, and the other bidder is asked again at the new valid price.
You can rehearse the sale. In the Sandbox, Cormac can run a test auction with phantom lots, absentee ceilings, a last-minute bid, and a refund before connecting Stripe.
Premium and tax are calculated from records. The 20% premium is computed from the hammer row, and registered jurisdictions can be calculated at checkout for reporting.
Auctions are one form of direct commerce. Fixed-price goods, delivery, and gift cards are covered on selling direct-to-consumer on Kliv.
Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the custom commerce app you need, it builds it, and you own the result. For auctions, that means lots, bidding, reserves, invoices, and statements built around your rules.
A real app. Kliv builds the database, bid ledger, checkout, screens, and rules for your auction format.
Yes. You can change increment tables, premiums, lot fields, close windows, statement formats, or bidder registration rules later.
The clock answers it. A bid inside the final window extends the lot’s closing time by rule, so the lot ends when bidding has actually stopped.
No. The maximum is served only to the bidder who placed it and to the system logic that bids on their behalf.
It passes as a state on the record. Passed lots can move into another catalog or return to the consignor, and the statement can show that outcome.
Kliv computes the statement from the bid ledger. Moving money to consignors remains a deliberate act of the auction house on its own schedule.
No. Bidders pay by card. Payments run through your own Stripe account.
No. Payments run on your Stripe account. Card processing costs are between you and Stripe.
Yes. Lot pages can be prerendered and readable to crawlers, with a sitemap generated for the site.
Yes. The marketplace can run on the auction house’s own domain.
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
