    What is Kliv?

Kliv isn’t a generic club template — it’s an AI that builds software for you.

You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: records, schedules, payments, standings, member views, and admin screens. What you get is a real application that’s yours. You can run it on your own domain, connect it to your own Stripe account if you collect dues or fees, and change it later by asking. It isn’t a fixed membership theme.

On this page, that app is a sports and recreation app for a club. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; club operations systems are one example.

Why league night needs more than a posted schedule

A recreation club may have leagues, teams, sheets or courts, dues, intro sessions, event entries, standings, substitutes, and equipment to track. A gym system can miss those club-specific rules.

Kliv builds the club’s shape as records. Leagues, draws, score rows, dues, equipment, and member views all sit in one app, so the schedule and the money agree.

    Sheets, draws, and dues

    These records run the season.

    Sheets and draws

A draw has a sheet, time, and two teams. The schedule can refuse overlapping draws, so one sheet is not booked twice.

    Leagues and teams

Skips, rosters, substitutes, and league rules can differ by league.

    Standings

Skips can enter scores from a phone, and standings compute from those score rows. Corrections can be logged.

    The club store

Dues at $210 a season, learn-to-curl at $30, and bonspiel entries at $90 a team can run through one checkout on the club’s Stripe account.

    The equipment shelf

Brooms, sliders, and stabilizers can each have a home hook and current borrower.

    An example: Maud’s curling club

Here’s how one club might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own sport, leagues, dues, and equipment.

    01

A new player books an intro session

Oskar books a $30 learn-to-curl spot from his phone. The session caps at twelve, so the thirteenth person is offered the next Saturday.

    02

    A substitute becomes a member

Two weeks later he joins as a Thursday-league substitute, then gets added to a team. His dues prorate from the week he joins.

    03

League night keeps the sheets straight

Four sheets, eight teams, and no double-booked draw. Skips enter scores after the game, and standings update from the score rows.

    04

The bonspiel fills without side lists

Sixteen January bonspiel spots sell at $90 a team. The seventeenth team joins a waitlist immediately, and out-of-town teams pay online.

    05

    The season pauses cleanly

When the ice goes out, memberships can pause with the season and resume in October.

Describe the club app you want

Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include facilities, leagues, fees, capacities, standings, equipment, and member views. Here are three to build on:

    kliv.dev

    A curling club

Sheets, leagues, phone scores, standings, and dues.

“Build an app for a four-sheet curling club with six leagues, draw scheduling that refuses double-booked sheets, phone-entered scores, live standings, seasonal dues of $210, $30 learn-to-curl sessions capped at 12 people, and a $90 bonspiel entry with a waitlist after 16 teams.”

    kliv.dev

    A disc golf league

Tee times, handicaps, standings, and season pass.

“Build a disc golf league app with weekly tee-time draws, handicapped standings from submitted scorecards, player divisions, and a $45 season pass sold through Stripe.”

    kliv.dev

    A rec center

    Bookings, capacity, and front-desk view.

“Build a community recreation center app where members book courts and lanes, every session has an enforced capacity, staff can override bookings with a reason, and the front desk sees the whole day at a glance.”

    Run from the warm room

A scheduled job can send the draw email Wednesday at noon from the club’s template and domain. The email reads the schedule, so it uses current sheet assignments.

Roles keep views appropriate. The committee can see the ledger and full contact sheet. Members can see their team, draws, and dues.

The club can also learn which leagues fill, which open houses become members, and what attendance looks like across the season.

    Common questions

    What exactly is Kliv?

Kliv is an AI app builder. You describe the club app you need, it builds the working app, and you own the result.

Do I get a real app, or a template?

A real app. Kliv builds records, rules, screens, workflows, and permissions for your specific case.

Can I change it after it’s built?

Yes. Ask for changes in plain words. Kliv updates the app without making you start over.

Can we run a league that doesn’t charge anything?

Yes. Leagues, draws, and standings work without money attached. Dues and store items are optional.

    How fiddly is score entry?

A skip can enter scores from a phone, and the form can match the league format. Corrections can be logged.

    What about borrowed equipment?

Equipment can be tracked as records with home hooks and current borrowers.

What happens to our old website?

Your choice. The app can take over the club’s domain or sit beside the old site while the season runs through the new app.

Can we collect dues and event fees?

Yes. Dues, intro sessions, and event entries can run through checkout on the club’s own Stripe account.

    Do members need Stripe accounts?

No. Members pay by card. The Stripe account is the club’s.

Can members see private contact details?

Only if you allow it. Committee views can include phone numbers while member views show a narrower roster.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes. The club app can run on your own domain.

Can I move off Kliv later?

Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
