Admin Dashboards & Data Management
Build a data visualization and reporting app
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe the reporting app you want — data entry, imports, charts, role-based views, scheduled emails, Slack alerts, and agent questions — and it builds it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
What is Kliv?
Kliv isn’t just a charting tool — it’s an AI that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in plain words, and Kliv builds it: the database, forms, imports, charts, access rules, scheduled emails, and reports. What you get is a real app for your team. You can use it, change it later by asking, and keep the records in your own system. It isn’t a template.
On this page, that app is a data visualization and reporting app. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one example.
Why build reporting as an app?
Charting tools can make spreadsheets look better, but they do not make the numbers true. If sales exports, waste counts, and weekly summaries all live in different places, every meeting starts with stale-number risk.
Kliv builds the reporting layer with a database under it. The sales rows, waste counts, charts, role-based views, and scheduled emails all read the same records.
What the dashboard is made of
Behind each chart is a table and a rule for who can read it.
Stores and scorecards
Each shop has targets such as revenue, waste under 8%, and labor hours. Scorecards compute from rows.
Daily numbers
Sales by product and store can import from till exports or be entered on a closing form, with date, store, and author attached.
Waste log
Closing staff can enter counts from a phone, such as croissants baked and binned. Waste percentage is computed where the data lives.
Who sees which numbers
A store manager sees one store; operations sees all 12. Row-level security enforces the boundary at the database.
Monday digest
A scheduled job can render the week and email it before the meeting: best store, worst waste, and trend against last month.
Threshold alerts
When a store’s waste crosses its limit two days in a row, a message can land in Slack with the store and number.
An example: Amira’s bakery reports
Here’s how one bakery chain might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own numbers, stores, roles, thresholds, and reports.
A waste count is entered once
At closing, a baker enters six binned croissants on a phone form. The row lands with store, date, and author.
Every chart reads the same row
The waste chart, store scorecard, and chain overview all update from that row, so the number cannot drift across copies.
Slack gets the threshold alert
One shop crosses 8% waste for the second day. A scheduled check posts the store and trend while there is still time to adjust the weekend bake.
The Monday digest starts the meeting
At 7:00, each manager gets their own store summary and Amira gets all 12. Everyone starts from the same records.
Month-end reporting opens quickly
Month-over-month numbers per store are computed from the same rows by a server function. The report is assembled when it opens.
Describe the reporting app you want
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include data sources, forms, charts, roles, schedules, thresholds, and exports. Here are three to build on:
Bakery chain scorecard
Sales, waste, role views, alerts, and Monday digests.
“Build a reporting dashboard for our 12 bakery shops. Track daily sales and waste per store from till exports and closing forms, let store managers see only their own store, alert Slack when waste crosses 8% for two days, and email a Monday summary by 7:00.”
Workshop utilization board
Machine hours, job margins, and weekly owner report.
“Build a dashboard for our machine workshop. Show utilization and job margins per machine, import job times from CSV every night, flag machines below 60% utilization for the week, and email a Friday report to the owners.”
Field sales tracker
Phone logging, regional charts, and office views.
“Build a reporting app where our 18 sales reps log visits and orders on their phones, managers see conversion and revenue by region, reps see only their own accounts, and Monday emails summarize pipeline by territory.”
Where the numbers come from and go
Forms can be the ingestion. Because the dashboard is an app, it can include closing forms, upload pages, and typed server functions that parse CSVs and reject malformed rows.
An agent reads the same rows. Ask which store binned the most rye this month, and the answer comes from the database the charts use, limited by the questioner’s role. The conversation can stay as a transcript.
Custom events do not need a tag manager. Define events such as scorecard exports or threshold breaches, and they can chart beside visitors and conversions in built-in analytics.
Reporting apps often grow into the operations hub: rotas, orders, and checklists next. The internal-tools tour shows how far the same conversational build reaches.
Common questions
What exactly is Kliv?
Kliv is an AI app builder for custom web apps. You describe your reporting app, it builds the app, and you own the result.
Do I get a real app, or a template?
A real app. Kliv builds the database, forms, imports, charts, role-based views, scheduled emails, and reports around your workflow.
Can I change it after it’s built?
Yes. You can add charts, change thresholds, add a form, import a new file, or adjust role views later.
Our data lives in exports and spreadsheets. How does it get in?
Through forms staff fill in, upload pages that parse files, or scheduled jobs that import on a timer. Each route lands in the same tables and validates on the way in.
Can store managers see each other’s numbers?
Only if you allow it. Store id sits on each row, and access rules are enforced at the database.
Can reports send themselves?
Yes. Scheduled jobs can render and email summaries on your templates, and threshold checks can post to Slack.
What kinds of charts can it draw?
You describe the view you want: trends, comparisons, rankings, tables, scorecards, or other views, then refine it in conversation.
Can staff enter numbers from phones?
Yes. The app can include phone-friendly forms for closing counts, visits, jobs, or any other row you need.
Can an agent answer questions about the data?
Yes. It can answer from the same rows the charts read, within the signed-in user’s access rules, and keep the conversation as a transcript.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. The app can run on your own domain.
Can I move off Kliv later?
Yes. The code syncs to your own Git repository, so leaving is a git pull rather than a rebuild.
