Building & Construction
Kliv is an AI app builder. Describe your trade crew knowledge hub, with searchable SOPs, safety docs, role-scoped shelves, current revisions, and Slack notices, and Kliv builds it.
Just enter your idea into the text box and AI will build it for you
Kliv isn’t a document storage product you sign up for and configure — it’s an AI app builder that builds software for you.
You describe the app you need in your own words, and Kliv builds it: the data, the rules, the screens, and the workflows. What you get is a real application that’s yours. You can use it and keep changing it later by asking for changes. It isn’t a template with your name on it.
On this page, that app is a trade crew knowledge hub for field procedures and safety documents. Kliv builds all kinds of web apps; this is one of them, and that’s what the rest of this page covers.
A trade contractor can have decades of procedures, lockout steps, safety data sheets, manufacturer bulletins, scanned manuals, and photos of the one diagram everyone needs. The problem is not whether the files exist. The problem is whether the right crew can find the current version from a phone on site.
Kliv builds the hub around the company: searchable from the field, scoped by role, and connected to Slack so the right crew hears when something changes.
Everything a crew might need mid-job, with rules for who can reach it.
An SOP keeps its revision history, but field search returns only the current version. Superseded copies stay in the archive for the office.
Safety data sheets, lockout steps, and toolbox-talk sheets are open to the roles you choose and stay current by design.
Manufacturer PDFs, scanned pages, and phone photos can be uploaded and searched together with the rest of the company’s knowledge.
Apprentice, journeyman, foreman, and office access can differ. A restricted shelf does not appear to a role that should not see it.
A revision or bulletin can post to the crews you map it to, in their Slack channel, with a short note and link.
Here’s how one contractor might use it. It’s only an example — you would describe your own trades, documents, roles, revisions, and notification rules.
Eilert uploads PDFs, Word files, scans, and photos of laminated pages into the file store. Search no longer depends on the old folder structure.
Everyone sees the safety shelf. Foremen can see incident reports. Office staff can see costs. The rule lives on the rows and files.
A second-year apprentice standing by a glycol loop searches in plain language. The current purge procedure appears, with the bulletin that amended it.
A manufacturer changes a fill-valve procedure. Eilert uploads the bulletin, links the affected SOP, and two crew channels get a concise Slack post.
When the new procedure is in force, the old one leaves field search. The office can still find it for history, but a jobsite search cannot land on it.
Kliv builds from your description, so the more detail you give, the closer the first version. Include trades, document types, roles, revision rules, and Slack channels. Here are three to build on:
Safety documents and fall-protection procedures.
“Build a knowledge hub for our roofing crews. Include fall-protection procedures, safety data sheets, manufacturer specs, phone-friendly field search, apprentice and foreman roles, and Slack posts when a safety document changes.”
Procedures, inspections, and update posts.
“Build a scaffold company knowledge hub where erection and dismantling procedures are searchable on site, inspection checklists live with the procedures, only current revisions appear to crews, and updates post to each crew’s Slack channel.”
Service procedures with revision control.
“Build an SOP library for our plumbing service company. Technicians should search procedures from the van, field search should show only current revisions, the office should keep the full history, and foremen should see incident reports.”
Search accepts field language. Uploaded documents are semantically searchable, so a question phrased at a broken machine can find a procedure written at a desk.
Access is enforced where the files live. Role scopes are rules on rows and files, not just menu settings. A restricted document is absent for a user who should not see it.
Slack does one job. The hub can post revisions, bulletins, and toolbox digests through a connection you grant once in settings. Unmapped crews hear nothing.
Thirty years of know-how is a contractor’s longest-running jobsite. Where know-how gets a system tells the wider story.
Kliv is an AI app builder that builds custom web apps from a description. For a trade crew knowledge hub, it can build document storage, search, roles, revision control, notifications, and admin screens.
A real app. Kliv builds the database, file rules, search, screens, and Slack flow for your company’s documents and roles.
Yes. You can add roles, change shelf access, add document types, or adjust Slack notifications later by asking.
They leave field search and stay in the archive. The office can answer what was in force last year, while crews searching today find only the current version.
No. The hub is a web app that works on a phone. Sign-in and roles are attached to the account, not the device.
Yes. Uploaded images can be described and indexed, so a photographed wiring diagram can be found by what it shows, not just its filename.
You connect the workspace once from settings, map shelves or document types to channels, and Kliv posts on change.
Yes. Roles can decide which shelves and files appear. Restricted records are not available to roles that should not see them.
Yes. You can upload messy folders, scans, and PDFs. Search depends on the indexed content, not only folder names.
Yes. A scheduled job can send a Monday toolbox digest or post it to a crew channel.
Yes. The app’s code syncs to your own Git repository.
No. The hub is its own admin for uploads, revisions, roles, and notices.
